About The Eve Appeal and Get Lippy Campaign
The Eve Appeal is the UK’s leading charity raising awareness of the five gynaecological cancers: womb, ovarian, cervical, vaginal, and vulval. Their powerful research highlights an uncomfortable truth: nearly 1 in 3 women have delayed seeking medical advice about a gynae symptom due to embarrassment or anxiety. The 5 Key Gynae Cancer Signs Covered in This Episode:
1. Womb Cancer:
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding (between periods, after sex, after menopause, or much heavier than usual).
2. Vulval Cancer:
- Persistent vulval itch, pain or soreness.
- Thickened, raised, red, lighter or darker patches on the vulva.
- Visible open sores or growths, lumps, swelling, or changes in moles.
3. Ovarian Cancer:
- Increased abdominal size and persistent bloating.
- Persistent pelvic and abdominal pain.
