Speaker 1:

What's going on everybody? Welcome back to the Grind. We're here midweek and super pumped to have another episode out for you guys. Today I wanted to talk about struggles and struggles in life, struggles in business, whatever the case may be right. After talking to a few people the last few days that have maybe been going through something or struggling through something, it really got me thinking about this whole struggle situation, right, and I've just been thinking about some of the struggles that Crystal, my wife, and I have been through One being homeless in 2020 and going through that whole scenario to starting our salon and now having a full service salon that has a storefront, looking to expand into more locations here in the next 18 months.

Speaker 1:

We have that, but we also just recently last year had California talk about or pull money from our account to zero for like two weeks and it was for a business back in like 2013 or 14, saying that we had employees that didn't pay taxes on it and come to find out that wasn't the case and we ended up getting the money back, but it was two weeks of like no money and we're trying to operate these other two businesses now with employees and payroll and when you wake up and your bank account is drained and the state's telling you that you owe 19 grand, your heart sinks in your stomach a little bit, and so it's in moments like that where you have to really lean on the Lord right, and be like Lord, I'm still here, so I have a purpose, I'm not dead. It's remembering in those moments that you're still living in your purpose and, through everything, god is still working and God is still moving and he is using that for testimony for somebody else, like I'm here today, sharing some of these struggles with you guys, for maybe something that you're going through right, and I think it's just really remembering that, no matter what, it's going to be okay. At the end of the day, everything is going to be okay. I think it's really what I was talking about in the last episode of like during the chaos is just taking that rest, taking a deep breath is just taking that rest, taking a deep breath and thinking through the situation and picking it apart piece by piece of okay, here's what we're gonna do to manage and mitigate the situation right, and so like, yeah, when your bank account you wake up is zero. You, you're like great, where's all of our money? How are we going to eat? How are we going to pay bills? It's a crazy feeling, but remembering to relax. I woke up in the morning. I have breath. God still has a plan. Let's trust and let his peace be my peace.

Speaker 1:

And yeah, it was a lot of stress, but at the end of the day, we made it through, we got the money back and we're still here, and so I think it's just constantly remembering that God's not going to put you through anything that you can't handle and he's growing you through the situation to be able to handle more, because a lot of times, you have to get promoted to the next level. Right Like you learn to handle more, because a lot of times you have to get promoted to the next level. Right Like you learn to handle a hundred dollars. Okay, great, now let's test you with a thousand dollars. Great, now let's test you with $10,000. It's a promotion, right, like can he trust you with the little for the much? And so when you go through moments like that, sometimes I feel like it's a test, right, like, hey, can I trust that you're going to lean on me or you're not going to steer away from me, no matter the situation? Just like Job right.

Speaker 1:

So I just wanted to give a little bit of encouragement today of no matter what you're going through, no matter what your circumstance is, just remember you're not alone. You've got this, you're going to be okay and if there's anything that I can do to help or be support for you, I'm here for you. But just remember to stay encouraged. Remember you can find peace in the Lord. Open up your Bible, see what the Lord says about you and just remember to keep pushing forward. And on top of that, you can just stay consistent. Stay consistent in everything that you're doing, even though you're struggling. Wake up with a smile, wake up ready for the day Thank you, lord, for my breath in my lungs today and tackle the day. If you had a schedule for that day of filming or shooting or meeting with a client or whatever the case may be, do that.

Speaker 1:

Stay consistent in what you're doing, because what will happen sometimes is you have a little hiccup or something comes up right, and then it throws everything off. You start spiraling and now it's like you're going down this huge tunnel of misery. You're just like one thing after another after another, and you're like man. Everything in this world is like coming against me right now, but it all started with the one thing, and that one thing affecting every other situation. You know, you wake up and the money's gone. Now you're all in sorrow. Then you don't meet with the client that you had an appointment with at three o'clock, and then that leads to not landing that job. And then that leads to you in your head more, and then you're mismanaging the money because you're stressed out about the money. And then it leads to you in your head more, and then you're mismanaging the money because you're stressed out about the money. And then it leads to the next thing. And so just remember not to let that situation that you're going through affect every other area of your life, and that life will still go on.

Speaker 1:

Keep pushing forward and stay consistent in what God's called you to do and on your mission and your vision that you're working towards. I want to see every business owner, every single person that may watch this or listen to this, be successful and do what God's called them to do and live the best life, this one life that we have here on earth, until we get to our eternal life in heaven, to the fullest and best that they can. So I just really wanted to jump on here, share that and share a little bit of my heart about that tonight and I hope you got something from that. Just love and appreciate you guys and super excited to do this and be here and be able to share what some of the stuff we've gone through and be here for you. So, with that love and appreciate you guys, have a wonderful night or day or whenever you're listening to this and I'll talk to you on the next video. Bye, thank you.
