Mets Fans Don't Like What's Happening, But It's All Part of the Plan

A lot of Mets fans are all up in arms over the team letting slugger Pete Alonso sign as a free agent with the Baltimore Orioles.

And that's after trading Brandon Nimmo and the free-agent departure of Edwin Diaz to the Dodgers.

But here is the reality of the situation - ownership saw that the roster, as constructed for the 2025 season, did not win.  They also didn't like the culture of the clubhouse.  

Having three high-profile players leave is a clear message to everyone that ownership wants to make some serious changes.

Before we get to that, though, Jim Monaghan lets Mr. Bills Mafia Chris Swendeman gloat a little (okay, a lot) following Buffalo's come-from-behind win over the Patriots in Foxborough on Sunday afternoon.

Oh and one more thing - some guy named Springsteen showed up at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park on Sunday night.
