“When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. But Jesus came and touched them. ‘Get up,’ he said. ‘Don’t be afraid.’” — Matthew 17:6–7

When God moves in our lives, fear can keep us face down—not just fear of failure, but fear of what happens if we actually succeed. Many of us delay obedience, sabotage opportunities, or shrink back from healthy relationships because we don’t feel qualified for breakthrough.

In this episode:

  • The disciples’ response of fear during the Transfiguration
  • Why fear of success can hold us back as much as fear of failure
  • A real-life story of delaying obedience to God’s call
  • Jesus’ gentle invitation to rise in faith, not remain paralyzed in fear

Reflection Question: Where has fear—of failure or success—kept you from obedience?
Daily Challenge: Identify one area where you’ve delayed obedience. Write it down. Then take one small act of obedience today, even if your voice shakes.
