Faithfulness Attracts Responsibility | Restoring Warriors Daily Devotional | Matthew 25:28-29
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In Matthew 25:28–29, Jesus shows us how growth works in the Kingdom:
Faithfulness leads to more.
The servant who received more wasn’t the most talented—he was the most reliable. He took what he had and put it to work.
No excuses.
No waiting.
Just consistency.
That’s how God builds men.
Not through hype—but through daily faithfulness:
Showing up to pray.
Leading your family.
Keeping your word.
Doing the work when no one sees it.
A lot of men want more influence, more impact, more responsibility—
but skip the discipline required to handle it.
Responsibility follows reliability.
If you want more, start with what’s already in your hands.
Big Question:
Where is God asking you to be faithful before He gives you more?
Challenge:
Pick one area you’ve been inconsistent in—prayer, discipline, leadership—and stay faithful to it every day this week.
Prayer:
Lord, make me a man You can trust. Build consistency and discipline in me so I can be faithful with what You’ve given me. Amen.
He does it through consistency. Consistent, obedient action. Hey, welcome back to the Restoring Warriors Daily Devotional where we drop a new devotional every day. Hey, our mission here at Restoring Warriors is simple. We want to equip men to become disciples of Jesus Christ and to go and boldly share the gospel. And we do that in a couple different ways. We're a ministry that meets weekly here in Denver, Colorado. But we're currently launching expansion groups all across the nation and are looking for group leaders to step up and lead. We also are building a powerful online community. So to get more information about leading a group, about joining a group, joining the online community, go to restoringwarriors.com, click on join a group, and we will direct you from there. All right, we are back in the book in Matthew today, where we are jumping into verses uh or chapter 25, verses 28 and 29, where it says this. So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have, will be taken away from them. All right, so so promotion in God's kingdom, it doesn't start with who has the most talent. Okay, it starts with faithfulness. All right, the servant who received more, he wasn't the most gifted person. All right, he was, he proved to be the most reliable, however. All right, he took what was placed in his hands and he went off and he put that to work. All right, he didn't wait for better conditions, he didn't wait for more clarity, he didn't wait for a bigger platform. No, he took what he had and he just he moved with it. And because he proved faithful in the small things, in the situation with the small things, he was now trusted with much greater responsibility. All right, and that's how God builds leaders. Okay, he doesn't do it overnight and he doesn't do it by hyping them up or placing a lot of hype around them. He does it through consistency, consistent, obedient action. All right, faithfulness it means showing up to pray when nobody's watching, when you could easily skip that prayer. Faithfulness is leaving your family even when you're feeling tired. And faithfulness is keeping your word, keeping an agreement when it would be much easier just to quit. Right? So, men, we want influence, we want the ability to create impact, we want authority in our lives, but oftentimes we skip the daily disciplines that create them, right? And God, He's not looking for perfection, He doesn't need you to go out and be a perfect person. No, he's looking for somebody who can be trusted, somebody who will move forward in faithfulness. All right, and the truth is simple responsibility follows reliability. Once you prove reliable, you are given more responsibility. And if if you want more from God, start by being faithful with what he's already given you, right? Your time, your gifts, your relationships, and very importantly, your calling. All right, God trusts the man who continues to show up. All right, let's take a minute, pull out your journals, let's go through and answer this reflection question. Invite the Holy Spirit in, but take five or ten minutes and really journal honestly about what comes up here. All right, where in your life is God asking you to be faithful before he gives you more? All right, and here's a daily devotional for you. Choose one small area of responsibility that you've been inconsistent with. All right, maybe it's prayer scripture, maybe it's a form of leadership at home or fitness or follow-through. All right, and take that area and commit to doing it faithfully every day for the next week. And then see what happens. I always pray. Lord, help me become a man who can be trusted, strengthen my discipline in the small things, and give me courage to stay consistent when it's hard. Lord, teach me to be faithful with what you've placed in my hands and prepare my heart for the responsibility that comes next. So in the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Hey, thank you for tuning in.
