All right, when the rooster crowed, Peter remembered exactly what Jesus had said. It hit him all in that moment. Hey, welcome back to the Restoring Warriors Daily Devotional where every day we challenge men to boldly pursue the calling that God's placed on their life. Hey, I want to talk to you about the Warrior Path before we dive into today. So, the Warrior Path, this is a six-week transformational program that we've put together at Restoring Warriors. All right, this is designed to guide men into creating foundational habits that lead to their calling that God has placed on their life. We're going to look at things like scripture and prayer and uh fitness and family and fellowship. And we're really going to prioritize those foundational things that really bring us closer to a relationship with the Lord. Our next session starts July 27th, and then we've got another one in September and another one in January. So there's multiple opportunities to join us. Go to restoringwarriors.com, click on the Warrior Path up at the top, and it'll direct you to a page where you can find out all about it and get registered. All right, let's dive back in. Matthew 26, verse 75. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus has spoken. Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times. And he went outside and he wept bitterly. Alright, so Peter's greatest failure was followed by one of the most important moments of his life. Not because he denied Jesus, but because he responded with repentance. When the rooster crowed, Peter remembered exactly what Jesus had said. It hit him all in that moment. The weight of his compromise hit him all at once, and then he started weeping. He wept bitterly. These weren't tears of embarrassment, these were tears of conviction. Peter realized how far he had drifted from the courage that he previously thought that he possessed, but this moment, it wasn't the end of his story. God often does his deepest work when we finally stop defending ourselves and honestly face our sins or our shortcomings. When God exposes an area of compromise, pride, anger, addiction, or disobedience. And in those moments, the enemy wants us to go hide in shame. All right, but Jesus, he invites us to repent and to return. Peter's failure here, it became the foundation for his restoration because he allowed conviction to lead him back to Christ. And the same is true for us today. Now pull out your journals. I want you to take five or ten minutes. I'm going to ask you a reflection question and just kind of journal what comes up during this uh during this time. Where in your life is God calling you to stop making excuses and to start honestly repenting? I've had a daily challenge today is to spend 10 minutes today in honest prayer. Ask God to reveal any area that you've been compromising and confess it without justification and without excuses. All right, let's pray. Heavenly Father, Lord, thank you so much for loving me enough to convict me when I'm drifting off the path, Lord. Give me the humility to repent quickly and the courage to return to you. And Lord, restore what sin has damaged in my life and help me walk faithfully alongside of you. It's in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Hey, thank you for tuning in today, man.
