Have you ever felt like there’s a barrier between you and God? In today’s reflection, we look at the significance of the temple curtain being torn in two at the moment of Jesus’ death. It wasn't just a physical event—it was a divine declaration that the separation between God and humanity was removed forever.

Join us as we explore what this means for us today, moving past shame, guilt, and the pressure to “get it together” before we approach the Father. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we have direct access to God. Let’s stop rebuilding the walls He has already torn down.

Key Highlights:
The Significance: Why the curtain was torn from top to bottom (God reaching down to us).
The Sacrifice: Understanding that Jesus removed the barrier entirely, not just cracked the door open.
The Challenge: Identifying the "curtains" of shame or fear we hold onto and learning to walk in the freedom Christ purchased.
Reflection Question: What “curtain” have you allowed to remain between you and God? Is it shame, hidden sin, or the fear that you aren't good enough?

Daily Challenge: Spend ten uninterrupted minutes in prayer today. Come before God with honesty—no hiding, no pretense—and thank Him for the direct access you have through Jesus.

It was woven with fine linen with blue, purple, and scarlet threads. But if you're looking for some online community, we've got that too. Go to restoringwarriors.com. All right, click on join the group and we'll direct you from there. All right, let's dive back into it. We're in Matthew 27. This is verse number 51 today. At that moment, the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split. All right, the the the moment, okay, the moment that Jesus breathed his last, something extraordinary happened. And not just at the cross, but outside the temple, but inside the temple itself. All right, the massive curtain separating the holy place from the most holy place was torn completely in two. And this wasn't some ordinary curtain. It stood nearly 60 feet tall. Picture that, a curtain that's 60 feet tall. It was woven with fine linen with blue, purple, and scarlet threads, and it was so thick and heavy that Jewish tradition described it as extraordinarily difficult to tear. More importantly, is what it represented. It represented the barrier between a holy God and a sinful humanity. All right. And only the high priest could ever pass beyond it, and only once a year with the spl with the blood of a sacrifice. And notice that the curtain was torn. All right, it was torn from top to bottom. God was the one reaching down. Humanity didn't force its way into God's presence. God opened the way Himself through the finished work of His Son. And at the same moment, the earth shook and rocks split. Creation, it responded to the death of its creator. While heaven declared that the separation caused by sin had been removed forever. And as men, we carry a lot of things. We often carry shame, we carry a lot of guilt, and we carry this belief that we have to get our lives together before coming back to God, before we approach Lord, the Lord. All right, but this torn curtain, it tells a different story. All right, Jesus didn't simply crack the door open. No, he removed the barrier entirely. Because of his sacrifice, we can come boldly into God's presence. Not because we've earned it, but because Christ made a way. All right, I want to challenge you here with the daily challenge today. Today I want you to spend 10 uninterrupted minutes, okay? Uninterrupted, meaning turn all the music off, turn the distractions off, set a timer for 10 minutes. And I want you to set that aside for prayer today. All right, and come to God with complete honesty. He sees it anyway. All right, so you shouldn't you can't hide anything from the Lord. So come to him with complete honesty, okay? Don't hide behind guilt or pretend to have it all together, but thank Jesus for giving you direct access to the Father and bring him the very thing that you've been hesitant to surrender. I want to pray with you. Heavenly Father, thank you so much for tearing down the barrier that separated me from you, the sin barrier. Lord, thank you that through Jesus I no longer have to approach you in fear or shame. Lord, help me stop living as though a curtain is still standing. Give me the confidence to draw near to you every single day, Lord, trusting completely in what Christ accomplished for me on the cross. Lord, teach me to live in freedom, access, and relationship, right? The relationship that you purchased for me in Jesus' name. Amen. I thank you so much for tuning in today.
