No Seal Can Stop God's Plan | Restoring Warriors Daily Devotional | Matthew 27:64

Have you ever felt like a massive stone has been rolled over the promises God spoke into your life? Whether it's a closed door, a difficult diagnosis, or ongoing opposition, it’s easy to believe that our obstacles are stronger than God’s plan.

In today’s devotional, we look at Matthew 27:64, where the Pharisees tried to secure the tomb, believing they could stop the Resurrection. They learned that no human effort can overturn God’s purposes.

The same God who raised Jesus from a sealed and guarded tomb is still at work today. No setback can erase His promises, and no amount of opposition can stop what He has already ordained.

Became one of the greatest confirmations of the resurrection. Hey, welcome back to the Restoring Warriors Daily Devotional where every day we challenge men to boldly pursue the calling that God has placed on their lives. And we do that a couple different ways. This is verse 64. It says, So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell people that he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the first. Alright, so the chief priests and the Pharisees, they believed that, hey, if they can only secure the tomb, that they could stop God's plan. But God doesn't work that way. Alright, so they requested guards, a sealed stone, and every possible precaution to ensure that Jesus stayed in the grave. Alright, yet yet what they intended to prevent became one of the greatest confirmations of the resurrection. So how often do we feel like there's obstacles in front in our way? And the obstacles in front of us, they're just too great. We see a closed door, we see a difficult diagnosis, a lost opportunity, we see oppression or opposition from others. And it can seem, it can seem on the surface as though somebody's rolled a massive stone over the promises that God has spoken into our lives. All right, but this passage, it reminds us of a really powerful truth is that no human effort can overturn God's promises. Alright, the same God, the same God who raised Jesus from the dead from a sealed and guarded tomb is still working and still alive today. No person can cancel his calling on your life. No setback can erase his promises, and no amount of opposition can stop what he's already ordained. It's already in the cards. If God has spoken it, he doesn't need favorable circumstances to accomplish it. He simply asks us to remain faithful while he does what only he can do. Alright, so I want to hit you with a challenge today. And this challenge is this identify one situation that you've been trying to force your way through. Instead of focusing on the obstacle that's in front of you, spend five minutes thanking God that his plans are greater than anything that might be standing in your way. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you that your plans can't be stopped by people, by circumstances, or by any opposition. Forgive me for the times that I've looked at the size of the stone in front of me instead of the greatness of you, my Lord. Father, help me trust that what you've promised, that you're faithful to complete. Give me peace to rest in your sovereignty and keep and encourage to keep walking in obedience while you're at work behind the scenes, Lord. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
