Quest for Silver with Mr. T
Our Podcast focuses on the number two songs from the twentieth century. No number one songs. Although some charts do not always agree with each other there can be exceptions - for example, The CCR never had a single release in the USA that reached the top of any chart, whereas the CCR in Canada most assuredly DID reach the top with a few of their releases. The bottom line is that we are playing songs that we remember and like alot. The premise is however that for the most part they missed the centre of the target as far as sales and chart recognition. You and I know that they are still crowd pleasers and as far as that goes YOU are the crowd and if you like these songs we want you to let us know. Give us a text 306-227-4229.

Dance with the music by Sly and the Family Stone is our first number 2 song this hour with The Beatles up next and Lady Madonna. Gene and Debbe did a duet with a tune called Playboy from 1968 and on their heels is Georgie Fame and the song about the infamous duo Bonnie and Clyde. Kenny Rogers began his musical career with The First Edition and recorded their first big hit "I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in". They were not the first to record the song however - Jerry Lee Lewis was first followed by Teddy Hill and the Southern Soul but it is mostly remembered as a success by Kenny Rogers band.
