Heif Dogg:

Yo, yo, yo yo. What up everybody. Here we go. This is it, Episode one of Heif Decent. You didn't ask for it, Nobody was demanding this, but here it is anyway. I can't promise the best show in the world, but it'll at least be Heif Decent. And if you're listening, first of all, thank you. You could be listening to a billion other podcasts right now. We don't need another one, but you're here and I appreciate that. Today's just going to be a quick intro. I want to keep it light and short, but I also want to explain what the show is, why I'm doing it and where I'm hoping it goes.

Heif Dogg:

So some of you might know me from Hoagie Time. It's a podcast I did with my boys Money Mike and HT,. Shout out those dudes and that was a fun run. We did it for like a year and a half. We had a great time. We had awesome guests and honestly just laughed our asses off most of the time and still love those guys, Still talk to them all the time and I'll always be proud of what we did with Hoagie Time.

Heif Dogg:

But over time things change. People's schedules just got all wrapped up and it got hard to coordinate everybody and I got to a point where I was like I just want to keep creating. I mean, the last year or so of not having a project like this to work on, something was missing, and it's nice to be back into it. I just didn't want to wait around anymore. I didn't want to rely on someone else's schedule or to need help editing. I wanted to learn how to do that myself or maybe miss out on something fun, because I was waiting for all the stars to align so we could sit down and do an episode. But I just wanted to hit, record and go, and that's what HeftySin is. It's me doing my own thing. If I want to record at 10 pm on a Tuesday, I'm doing it. If I want to have a guest or just rant about how fucking expensive Taco Bell is now or why Billy Joel peaked with the Stranger, I can do that. Total freedom, total control and just fun. I mean, this is not a serious show. I'm not here to change your life or solve the world's problems. We're here for a good time, not a long time. You're going to hear music talk, some comedy, some weird tangents about the Bee Gees or paranormal stuff and some awesome conversations with musicians and comedians and people that I find interesting and just want to chill with. I mean, this is a hang, that's the goal. It's kind of like the thing you throw on during a drive while you're working or just zoning out. At the end of the day, I want this to feel like a break from the noise and there's a shitload of noise these days. So just something heft decent to pass the time.

Heif Dogg:

Put together a long list. I've got a pretty great guest list already shaping up. First guy, the first actual episode, if you're not going to count this one as real, it's one guy from one of my favorite local bands, Fat Mezz. This guy, Dom Levy. He's dropping his first solo record. He just dropped his first solo record this past Friday. It's called Lazy River. We're going to talk about that, Probably going to get into some classic rock talks and Beatles and whatever else comes up.

Heif Dogg:

That's going to be a good one. I'm looking forward to putting that out. Beyond that, I've got musicians, comedians, even a couple of wild cards lined up. I don't want to drop too many names yet, but let's just say if you like Philly music, you're going to hear some familiar voices on this show. If you're into comedy, you're going to hear some of your favorites, that's for sure.

Heif Dogg:

Anyway, that's all I got for today. I just wanted to get the wheels turning, hit record and get the show moving. This is very much a practice in not overthinking. No more waiting. No waiting for the perfect cameras or the perfect studio or the perfect guests, I'm just I'm hitting record and I'm just going to rip and we're going to let this go as it will. But you're on this ride with me. I appreciate you being there. We're good to go for now. So thanks for checking it out. If you stick around, I'll do my best to make it worth your time, or at least it'll be half decent. Got him. Thanks for checking it out. If you stick around, I will see you on the next one. It's Dom Levy from Fat Mez coming up and a whole lot more. Let's have some fun with this. Thank you, Get the fuck off my dick.
