éXō Fleets - Data | Insights | Savings
Welcome to the éXō Fleets Podcast - DATA | INSIGHTS | SAVINGS, where we talk about the real challenges and opportunities facing today’s fleet operators, from rising fuel costs and operational pressure to sustainability reporting and the road to electrification.
Each episode gives listeners practical insights into how mixed-fuel, mixed-class and multi-site fleets can use data to make smarter decisions, uncover savings and build a more sustainable future.
We discuss key topics including mixed fleet management software, fleet fuel cost reduction, fleet electrification planning and reducing fleet total cost of ownership, helping fleet managers, finance teams and leadership understand where costs are hidden and where improvements can be made.
Listeners will also hear more about the éXō Fleets 100 Litre Challenge, a practical approach to identifying fuel savings and operational efficiencies, and the Bright Spark Programme, which supports fleets with electrification planning, sustainability reporting, Scope reporting and long-term fleet transformation.
This podcast is designed to give you the data, insights and ideas needed to reduce costs, improve performance and move towards a smarter, cleaner and more sustainable future for your fleet.

Zero-Emission Logistics Gains Momentum as Hived Expands Beyond London
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode of Plugged In, we explore the rapid expansion of Hived’s fully electric delivery fleet across eight new UK cities, Bath, Bournemouth, Brighton, Bristol, Poole, Portsmouth, Southampton, and Worthing.
Backed by a $42 million Series B funding round, Hived is no longer just a London success story. It's now a serious contender for national last-mile dominance, powered entirely by zero-emission transport.
Our team at ZeroMission breaks down what this means for the logistics sector, from the growing pressure on legacy carriers to decarbonise, to how data, digital twins, and delivery intelligence will underpin the next generation of electric logistics.
We also discuss what fleets and retailers can learn from Hived’s model and how scalable EV logistics is becoming, even beyond urban cores.
Tune in to learn:
- Why Hived’s growth is a wake-up call for traditional fleets
- How to plan for zero-emission delivery at scale
- The role of smart routing, depot charging, and operational visibility
- And how ZeroMission can support your fleet as you prepare to follow suit

Hived, the fully electric parcel delivery company, is making headlines again, this time for taking its zero-emission delivery model beyond Greater London. With its latest expansion, Hived will now operate in eight new cities and towns across the UK: Bath, Bournemouth, Brighton, Bristol, Poole, Portsmouth, Southampton and Worthing.
This move represents more than just geographic growth. It’s a significant milestone in the company’s strategy to build a nationwide, sustainable logistics network. For the logistics industry, this is a powerful signal that zero-emission operations are not only viable, they’re scalable.
Hived’s existing partners include major retail names such as Nespresso, Liberty of London, Gousto and John Lewis. These partnerships, along with a recently secured $42 million Series B funding round, are enabling Hived to compete directly with traditional delivery giants.
Murvah Iqbal, CEO and co-founder of Hived, summed up the impact: “We have big ambitions for nationwide coverage, and this step outside of London will mean people across these new cities will enjoy the same high delivery standards that have driven Hived's growth in the capital.”
At ZeroMission, we see this as a major validation of the electric-first logistics model. It reflects a wider industry shift toward sustainable, intelligent fleet management, especially for last-mile operations. As more logistics providers rethink their fleets, data-driven tools like ZeroMission’s exō platform will be essential for managing vehicle performance, route optimisation, emissions reporting and infrastructure scaling.
Hived’s expansion is not just a win for emissions reduction, it’s a blueprint for how logistics companies can evolve, deliver value and meet consumer and regulatory expectations in an increasingly climate-conscious economy.
We applaud Hived’s leadership and look forward to helping more fleets across the UK and Europe follow this electric road map.
