Hey everybody, my name is Varun Rajan, and welcome to the Push-Pull podcast. This is going to be a show where we interview mid to senior level professionals about their careers, learn their stories, and specifically dig into the transition points of their careers and understand the motivations behind those points of change. So why push pull? One of the things I used to do both as a career coach and as a hiring manager in the past was ask people specifically about their push and pull factors when it came to their career transitions. Why did you go from one job to another? I found that really digging into the motivations behind someone's transitions helped me learn a lot about that person. But also help me learn a lot more about myself. Have I been as intentional as this person in the transitions that I've made in the past? I've had a lot of career transitions going from finance to tech and within tech, education, healthcare, and career coaching, I've worn a lot of different hats. And I've found that it's really important to understand what I'm running away from and running towards both of those things are actually incredibly important at making sure that I find work that is fulfilling. It's super important to understand that every time you're making a decision to pivot or move from one thing to another. You are facing a very discrete set of trade offs I'm super excited because I am starting off talking to a whole bunch of friends, former colleagues, bosses, mentors anyone that will talk to me about their career and feels like they have a story to tell. If you are interested in listening, please do follow, subscribe wherever. Also, if you have a story to tell, if you are actually interested in walking through your career, and especially digging into what those motivations were like as you went from one part of your career to the next please reach out. And so yeah Push Pull podcast. I'm really excited to do this
