Episode 17- Dr. Smith
Dr. Jennifer Smith | Physician • Adventurer • Explorer
Dr. Jennifer Smith’s journey has been one of passion, exploration, and dedication—both in medicine and in life. After earning a BSc in neuroscience from the University of Alberta, she took time to work and travel before beginning medical school at St. George’s University in Grenada. Her clinical training took her across the United States, with rotations in New York City, Miami, Baltimore, and Oakland, before completing her family medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
Now based in beautiful British Columbia, Dr. Smith serves her community at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. When she’s not caring for patients, she’s embracing the outdoors—mountain biking, skiing, camping, and cycling to work. A true adventurer at heart, she has also kite surfed and backcountry skied. She and her partner are raising two energetic little boys and dream of one day spending a year in Mexico, fully immersed in the culture and language.
A life fuelled by curiosity, care, and adventure—Dr. Smith continues to embrace every challenge with passion and purpose. ✨🏔️🚴♀️ #DoctorOnTheGo #AdventureAwaits #NatureHeals
