Episode 19- Dr. Kirkpatrick
Meet Dr. Kirkpatrick, a powerhouse of compassion, knowledge, and deep human connection. As a CCFP-EM trained physician, she’s been serving the Vernon community since 2011—first in the Salmon Arm ER, then at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, and now as a support behind the At-Home Hospice pilot project with the North Okanagan Hospice Society.
In our conversation, she shares her wisdom on palliative care, MAID, and advance directives with such clarity, warmth, and love. What a rare gift to have someone like her guiding end-of-life care, reminding us that dying is not something to fear—but a journey that deserves dignity, honesty, and the support of an incredible team.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Kirkpatrick is an all-in mom, an adventurer, and a seeker of life's most meaningful moments. Whether she’s traveling, exploring the outdoors, or pouring her heart into her work, she brings the same passion to every space she enters.
💛 If you’ve ever wondered what true compassion in medicine looks like—this is it.
