Koby Jeffers is the owner of Kava Roots in Billings, MT and is a former MMA Amateur World Champion.

In today's episode, shot late-night at the new Kava Roots location in Billings, we covered a wide range of topics from Koby's childhood growing up on an island to his philosophies on living a limitless life.

Koby was raised on an island called Ambergris Caye in Belize, and spent his summers on the ranch in Montana. Koby credits his upbringing for his diverse world perspective, where he grew up spending time at humble friends' homes made of plywood boxes above the (crocodile-rich) lagoon, while also sitting in on his father's real estate development meetings with high-profile investors.

After moving back to the states in 7th grade and graduating high school in America, Koby had a successful amateur MMA career and went on to start businesses in a number of fields and is currently owning and operating Kava Roots (a modern kava bar in Montana) and a real estate development operation in Belize.

In this conversation, we got to cover a ton of topics including the Curse of Competence, advice our 80 year old selves might give us today, and setting a high standard for both business and life instead of optimizing for one or the other.

This episode was a real treat to make, and the 12 a.m. start time on the kava bar's stage was well worth the conversation we got to have. I hope you enjoy this one as much as we enjoyed making it
