In this episode of The Dataliction Podcast®, John Staub and Travis Hall talk with Josh Eldridge, a business coach at Painter Growth who owns a construction company in Knoxville, Tennessee. Josh is an Air Force veteran and a former pastor who lost his house and his first business, carried well over $100,000 in debt, and spent a November on scaffolding pulling brick off a wall with a sledgehammer. He explains why he tells people to build on their strengths instead of repairing their weaknesses, how he measures impact by earned trust rather than by goals he can keep moving, and what he does on the days he is not okay. He also talks openly about the months after his service when he did not want to be alive, and about the small thing that got him to the next morning.
