Storming The Gates Podcast Episode with Bishop Eugene Taylor
Storming the Gates with Dr. Teresa Goggins
In this riveting conversation, Bishop Eugene Taylor welcomes Dr. Teresa Goggins, founder of Lady T Goggins Ministries and pastor of Thy Kingdom Has Come International Ministries. With nearly three decades of ministry experience, Dr. Goggins reveals the hidden distinction between prayer warriors and intercessors, explaining why this difference matters in spiritual warfare.
Well, god bless you. This is Bishop Eugene Taylor, and we're so blessed to have you on the Storming the Gates podcast where we're teaching believers to walk in victory that God has for their life and every attack of the enemy that they will walk in victory. Listen, I'm so excited on tonight. This is a special broadcast and I know you say I say that every week, but this is a special podcast because I've got special people on the line today.
Speaker 1:I've got the one and only a woman of God that I appreciate, a ministry. She's an anointed woman of God, she's a powerful woman of God and her name is Dr Teresa Goggins. She's an intercessor, a pastor, a spiritual mother, a mentor, a coach, an international preacher. She's the founder of Lady T Goggins Ministries. She has an open door mentoring program, trained to Conquer. She also pastors, along with her husband, dr Thomas Goggins. They pastor Thy Kingdom has Come International Ministries and they're doing a phenomenal job. She has many other accolades, but I want to let you know, more than all of those things, she is a woman of God. God bless you, dr Teresa Goggins. I am so blessed to have you on the line today. God bless you.
Speaker 2:Absolutely, Apostle. I am so honored and humbled to be here in your presence and for storming the gates. Listen, we can come up with a better title than that one, because it's definitely time to storm them.
Speaker 1:That does it, that does it. You know the Lord gave me this vision a while ago. You know I knew I was going to do a podcast, but I wanted a podcast that would strategically show people how to stand against the attacks of the enemy and I was going to call it Prevailing Prayer Ministries, because that's my personal ministry. And about three o'clock in the morning I was telling my wife. I said I don't know what I should call it. At three o'clock in the morning the Lord spoke to me, said storm in the gates. I ran in the kitchen. She was up. I said baby, I got it, I got it, I got it. So on, tonight, dr Goggins, you and I are here to storm the gates.
Speaker 2:Absolutely. Let me ask you a question.
Speaker 1:Tell me what's going on. Who is Dr Teresa Goggins? Tell me something about Dr Teresa Goggins.
Speaker 2:Absolutely. I am first a child of God. I am a vessel of God's honor. I am totally submitted to the Holy Spirit. At this point in my life, I am the youngest of seven children. I have been blessed being in the kingdom of God and with that benefit I am a wife and a mother of three and have been in ministry for many almost 30 years now. But most of all, if you remember anything about me, I love God with all of my heart and my soul. So that's a little bit about me.
Speaker 1:That's an awesome thing. That's an awesome thing and, like I said, I've watched your ministry for years and I thank God for the sincerity and the passion that I feel when you minister. But you told me about you, tell me something about your ministry. And when I say ministry, the church, your personal ministry, and I told you before we came on, I want you to tell them about that Train to Conquer conference annually. Listen, yeah, in 1997,.
Speaker 2:Apostle, listen, yeah, in 1997, apostle, one of the passions that that ignited my heart was prayer. And in 97, I started a prayer ministry at 6 am in my home in the basement, and women would come from all over and we would pray for hours at the time. And so many times I just want to be in the presence of God through prayer. So I develop a passion for prayer very early and I said, well, god, you can leave me right here and I'll be satisfied just in prayer. But that prayer birthed out so many different ministries over time. And so one of the things that God told me to build a sea of intercessors. One of the things that God told me to build a sea of intercessors, and it was so important when we're talking about storming the gates.
Speaker 2:We got to storm them with trained intercessors so many times the body of Christ. We are called to do it, but we need to be equipped and spiritually trained on how to storm the gates.
Speaker 2:And so he put on my heart, I mean about 12 years ago, to start this spiritual warfare conference. God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth. And one of the things that God dealt with me very early on was the heart of an intercessor. You must train them to have my heart, and I went through all kind of stages of God showing me his heart, and one of the things I was reminded of that the heart is like Grand Central Station. It is constantly things going in and out and a lot of times things are coming through our heart and they're not coming to stay, they're coming to transfer and go to another place. And it's all about the heart of the intercessor is how we're going to function spiritually in the vision of the body of Christ. And I was like God, that's a lot. And he said but you got to train them. The condition of their heart is going to show and manifest what type of intercessor they become for my kingdom.
Speaker 2:And so we've been training for 12 years, with a conference in September, the end of September, the last weekend of September. Every year we go, domestic and international. We take this conference around the world, teaching people not only the art of prayer. I love that about you because you teach the art of prayer, not only the art of prayer. I love that about you because you teach the art of prayer, not only the art of prayer, but what the spiritual warfare and intercession is all about. And mainly, what's the difference? And how do I find my place to function in both? And from there, apostle, it birthed out church prayer. That prayer chamber birthed our ministry 18 years old. I sat on the side of my husband, where he's the senior pastor, I co -pastor and we've been pastoring for 18 years now. So at Thy Kingdom has Come. So God is doing some great things, being birthed out of the prayer chamber.
Speaker 1:You know, and I heard you say just now, what's the difference? Just like, as you're talking, you're talking about an intercessor. You know, many times when I teach, I teach on the difference between an intercessor and a prayer warrior, because they are certainly certainly different. You know, some people pray and they think, just because they're praying, they're operating as an intercessor. But that's another level of commitment, that's another level of warfare.
Speaker 2:That's another level of intensity that goes along with the intercessor Coulding on the behalf of another. That means he or she is interposing their self in a crisis between parties, a crisis, a circumstance, difficulties. An intercessor will stand between that and they will pray for that particular intervention, that God will intervene and deliver that particular person or country or nation from that particular situation. So it's a standing in the gap.
Speaker 2:Now, when you deal with spiritual warfare, spiritual warfare is the rejection of satanic forces. The rejection of satanic forces it's the binding, the commanding, the loosening, the illegal violating. It's those things. So when we're teaching intercessors spiritual warfare, we begin to train them that there's going to be some time when you stand in the gap between something and you're going to get opposition, what do you do? You don't back up because you get opposition from the enemy. How do you? So then at that point, the intercessors, prayer life should shift into spiritual warfare, which is conflict, and that conflict you have to go to war with the forces of darkness that's holding that person in that particular incident or crisis, and so it's so much training that goes within that when it comes to prayer. But yeah, prayer warriors and intercessors, they're totally different. And even Apostle, my daughter.
Speaker 2:She's 35 now, but she was eight at the time and she woke up crying and she said Mom, I saw you dead in the closet and so, as a child, she was freaking out. I said, no, baby. What that means is mom has to die to her flesh for this call. That's on my life, and it's going to happen in my prayer closet. So there's a dying that comes to the intercessor's life, and you have to die to all manner of flesh. Not that we become perfect, but we have to have our flesh under subjection at all times, and so that's one of the things that we run into with intercessors they want to mingle in the world and mingle in spiritual things, and you can't do both.
Speaker 1:God uses dead vessels, he uses dead people. People don't understand that. John 12 and 24 except the seed fall into the ground and die, it doesn't bring forth any food. If you're going to operate in the ministry of intercession prayer. The Lord spoke to me in September of 1996. I was watching something on TV and I saw a powerful move of God and I said God, I want to see a move like that. And he said you've got to become a man of prayer. And in 1996, I've been preaching about seven years. This year makes 36 years that I've been preaching.
Speaker 1:Well, the Lord spoke to me and said you got to become a man of prayer. Audaciously, I said I am a man of prayer. I wasn't a man of prayer, I was praying, he told me. He said you're not a man of prayer. He said you're praying. But he told me something. He said you're going to have to be a spiritual Nazarite, he said. I want you to understand the Nazarite. He said he couldn't drink any strong drinks, be around any dead things or cut his hair. The Holy Ghost spoke to me and said none of those things are sin, he said. But because of the call that you have on your life, you've got to go the extra mile.
Speaker 1:I began to consecrate myself before the Lord. That was in September. In October I went on a fast for 30 days, a simple fast, one meal a day. I was walking the sanctuary, but after that we begin to see signs, wonders and miracles operating in our ministry. One of the things that I want to say if you're operating an intercessory ministry, prayer ministry, and you're operating in that type of grace, you can't do that and desire to fit in and be accepted. I want to talk to you about that, dr Teresa Gargan. Intercessors, even prayer warriors, you can't fit in. All right, it's in your hand. Let me hear it.
Speaker 2:Absolutely, and you're not going to fit in Everywhere you go. You're going to feel like you're out there by yourself. One of the things that God trained me over years was I need you to have a praying spirit. A lot of times we think intercessors just stay in the closet, on their knees, on their faces. No, he trained me to have a praying spirit. So men should always pray and never faint. So you become an intercessor by how you make sure that the Holy Ghost is not only conducting you all day, every day, with the praying spirit. Because even now, apostle, if you say let's go into prayer, because you and I have a spirit of prayer, a praying spirit, we're not going to hesitate.
Speaker 2:We're right in there, intercessors. When you walk in the world today, people, when you can walk into a place and go right into prayer and intercession, people are like, oh, oh, she deep, she does. No, it's not that I'm deep, it's that my spirit is always in a posture of prayer. It's always that means that I can't do everything, I can't go everywhere. It's always that means that I can't do everything, I can't go everywhere.
Speaker 1:That means that there is a separate Guess what. I can't even say certain things that others can say that the Holy Spirit will convict me so fast.
Speaker 2:I'm weeping and crying on my face because you don't want to grieve the Holy Spirit. And when you've been with it and you dwell in that place of his presence, he trains you of what not to say, what not to wear, what not to go around. Nothing personal, who you like and don't like. It's just things that your spirit cannot entertain or be in front of. And I've been called weird, crazy. I've been called it all and I'm OK with it because I understood when I was younger. I'm like I know I couldn't be crazy because I work in corporate America making over 100 grand a year. So I'm not crazy. I couldn't maintain a high level job and travel like. I'm not crazy. But the enemy will make when you hear the church. Now, church call me crazy, but corporate America would call me to pray.
Speaker 1:But the word called you peculiar.
Speaker 2:Peculiar, exactly, but they would call you, but I've been called all. But you have to be OK with that. As an intercessor, you're going to sit in high places and it's going to be places that are not familiarity. These are places that God's going to give you authority, and that thing began to change on my life the authority of when you walk in places, what comes subject to the intercessor.
Speaker 2:What comes subject to a praying man or praying woman, even in a high level of corporate. They were calling me the. You know the person, the little manager. We had a crisis. Our CEO died in our company, a mega, a fortune 500 company. They called me at my desk to come in the lobby and pray for hundreds of people. Why? Because with that particular, the authority that you carry as an intercessor to intervene on behalf of others that are in crisis, difficult situation, I have the authority to stand in the gap. Not only do I have the authority, apostle, I have that pathetic. We want to talk a little bit about the prophetic intercessor, which is the prophet praying, the prophetic gifting that has the authority to gain influence in certain environments. So all of those are things that we train during our conference, train to conquer, because some people, like you, know I'm a prophet, but they have no prayer life. I don't, I don't know how you a prophet with no prayer life. I wouldn't even understood the pathetic arena without prayer. I only was.
Speaker 2:It was only revealed to me through prayer I could only see it happening, even the ministry of deliverance that's on my life. I only saw it through prayer. I only saw how to operate through prayer.
Speaker 1:You're using a word that I like authority. I've been teaching some of my ministers and I told them. I said in some prophetic groups, I said you have the anointing, but the anointing is not enough. I said you're gonna have to walk on the authority of it as the anointing, but the anointing is not enough. I said you're going to have to walk on the authority of it, as the anointing empowers you and equips you to accomplish a task. I said but just being empowered and equipped is not. You've got to walk in the authority, the prophetic anointing, the apostolic authority. I said you have to walk in it. I said, and except you walk in the authority of that, I said you're really not going to see the grace of it be completed in your life.
Speaker 1:One of the things that happened after I began to yield my life in prayer, I began to see things happen. I begin to see miracles, people healed miraculously. That's wonderful, that's that's so wonderful. That's great, that's great. But that was something else that came along with that. I began to see demonic manifestations. And I didn't at that time, I didn't have somebody that was able to train me and walk me through it. So when I say I begin to see, we begin to cast out demons. I'm talking about every. It was a certain period. Everywhere I went, demons were manifesting. I'm talking about no matter where I went at. Let's talk a little bit about deliverance ministry. Since you brought it up, let's talk a little bit about deliverance ministry.
Speaker 2:Absolutely. I've seen in my time blinded eyes come open.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:I've seen tumors released. I've seen them dry up. Literally. I placed my hand the Holy Spirit, it just popped on the lady's neck while I'm standing. So all kind of deliverances I've seen take place.
Speaker 2:One of the things I found out with deliverance there's always good and evil. There's always a specialty, if you will use that word, that I believe the Holy Spirit allowed me to operate in. What's the spiritual warfare part of it? There's always going to be good and evil. Where you're going, apostle, and you're praying for the people to be set free by the power of the Holy Spirit, there's an evil right there trying to keep them in that particular bondage. So when you get before the Lord, I said Lord, what is this? He said I'm going to take you through a season. It's going to be a 10 year tenure of deliverance. I'm going to show you what delivers. I'm going to show you what's even holding the people of God I'm going to show.
Speaker 2:So when you start by seeing demons, I mean when I've the first trip and you prophesied this to me, you may not remember this the first, my first trip to South Africa I came in a conference of yours, your prayer conference, and I walked in the back and you said woman of God. I don't even know if you even knew my name at the time. You said God's about to send you to Africa and you are going to see, and you just I mean, it was so profound the word of God that came out of your mouth was confirmation and it was verbatim on what I was walking in. When I get to South Africa, I begin to see, and not only am I seeing, I'm being tracked. I'm being tracked by witches and wallows. I mean, they're following our van, literally.
Speaker 2:Yeah, absolutely, absolutely, absolutely and so when you get to this level, the authority, which means the right to govern, and I want the church to realize that God is the same God in Africa, in America.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:He gives you the power and the right to govern, but your life has to be totally yielded to the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:In order for the Holy Spirit to give you the authority to allow him to govern, because it's not me governing.
Speaker 2:It's the Holy Spirit that's governing the demonic forces. And so when they realized that the authority that was on my life was really the Holy Ghost, you could see them kind of backing up but yet coming, still coming into the services to hear the word. They were they were trying to distract, but God was showing me, from the witches to the trackers, to all the demonic forces. I could literally see that and the Holy Spirit was like don't do the work of the ministry. If we be, if you're walking in that level of authority, which means the right to govern, I have the right to be here.
Speaker 2:This particular, the holy ghost, has the power, of every power. So you can't be hesitant and and afraid of something overtaking you when you know you're working with the one that has all the power. So when you know you have the right and the authority to govern different situations, cast out demons, lay hands on the sick and they shall recover, you walk it in that divine authority and it's going to manifest in your life. And demons and witches, they have no power over it. It took me a long time. They have no power. The power that they have no power over it, they don't it took me a long time.
Speaker 1:They have no power. The power that they have is what you're giving them, absolutely. I've been in spaces where I've seen chairs move, I've seen cabinets open on their own and the Holy Ghost spoke something to me years ago. He said now, what happened that you can't do? He said you move chairs, you open cabinet doors, you lift things up. And I mean, when I say this was, oh, this was more than 30 years ago, the Lord spoke to me. But what happens is I heard you use the word fear. We can never operate in fear when we're operating in the deliverance ministry, because the truth of the matter is that's what strengthens the enemy. Luke 10 and 19 is clear I've given you power over all the power of the enemy.
Speaker 1:What power is exousia, meaning I'm giving you authority over all of the strength of the enemy. You know, I was in Haiti and I've been preaching going on 36 years, but for the last 25 years I've been preaching in different countries around the world. I was in Haiti and we saw signs, wonders and miracles. And let me tell you why. Because when you go into countries like Africa I was in South Africa a couple of months ago when you go into countries like Africa and Haiti, they believe. Now listen, I'm not just saying they believe God, they believe in voodoo, they believe in Obeah, they believe in witchcraft, so they believe it allows them to tap into the spirit realm.
Speaker 1:We saw signs, wonders and miracles and the pastor called me. He said listen, it was a powerful move of God. He said when you come back to church tomorrow, watch this. He said please don't wear your ring. And I said huh. He said oh, wear your ring. He said, because what will happen is, he said, many of the people are coming out of voodooism. He said, and they will attribute the miracles that took place to your ring. He said so I'm at. He said, because of the miracles that we saw, don't wear any jewelry, just come in and let the Lord use you. What I normally do, dr Goggins, when I go into a country, I normally study that country so that I can understand the culture and what kind of spiritual math and what I'm going into. Well, I've been seeing you do a lot of traveling here lately. Tell me about the difference between what you're seeing in other countries and when you come back to our culture.
Speaker 2:Absolutely the love of God. I mean, we just did a three countries, so we did Ghana, nigeria and Liberia, the to get my own self off the floor, but I'm seeing that they are lovers of God.
Speaker 2:I'm seeing that, and not that they're perfect people, but they got their hearts postured towards God and so they love him in a way. It's just not mouth service, it's heart service, and so one of the things that I'm seeing in the Western culture versus those type countries, is the love of God. We're seeing miracle signs and wonders, like you mentioned. We're seeing, I mean, it's nothing to cast out a demon, it's nothing to to see deliverance right there in front of you. We literally see the demon leave the person, the person stand up upright and begin to act according to their original intent, and so we see all of this. And then, but we get back to our culture, which is the Western culture, and we're struggling to just do praise and worship. So there is a demonic realm literally covering most churches, where we don't even want to open our mouths anymore and worship the father in spirit.
Speaker 2:And in truth, I'm seeing the difference, and my husband and I was talking like we feel like we should be worshiping in Ghana. We feel like we should be worshiping in Ghana because, because, but what is it? What has to take place in the church today? Spiritual warfare. We have to take the territories back from darkness, because the Bible talks about in Matthew cause. See, we can plant and we can preach every Sunday, but what type of ground is that word falling?
Speaker 1:on, absolutely.
Speaker 2:And it's something choking that word out. Is that word falling on Absolutely? And it's something choking that word out. It's that word on stony ground. And so you find a lot of times when faith is not operating. The word is choked out in. America because we have so many different things to occupy us, not only naturally but spiritually.
Speaker 1:I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry you're talking so good, no, no, go ahead. Pastor, it's really your fault. You're talking so good. It just grabbed my attention. Listen. Distractions and a spirit of unbelief. That's what I see over here. We're distracted and there's a hovering spirit of unbelief. But go ahead, go ahead. That was your fault. See over here, we're distracted and that's a hovering spirit of unbelief. But go ahead, go ahead. That was your fault, go ahead.
Speaker 2:Any time, apostle, you know we get to go on, but it is. It's the difference of faith operating and it's so many different things that's pulling the believers away. If you look at our younger people now, when I was coming up in the church, I didn't have all of these distractions. Mama said be at church. I don't care if you stayed out till two in the morning, you better be at church. It was no, if I'm going, everything in the house had to go. Now parents come to church and leave their children at home. But one of the things is the lack of faith, and we know the only thing that moves God is faith. Without it it's impossible to please. Miracles manifest in a faith environment. So those are the two things that we're seeing that's different, the distractions we have versus the faith they have. And so those things we're seeing it's literally changing our atmospheres within our churches because of the lack of faith and the lack of watches, what we were distracted with on our social media before we got to church.
Speaker 2:So now we can't get in the presence of, we can't get in the honest of God, because we're, we're in all this.
Speaker 1:And all of this, in all this, and all of this in our spirit, one of my bishops in my fellowship. He was talking to me because when I ride in the car, I don't I don't use the radio at all. Now, that's just me. If. If I'm going to be going for a whole hour, I'm going to use that time to really just spend some time with the Lord.
Speaker 1:I have to have quiet. My radio was off and one of my bishops told me. He said Bishop. He said that's why I hate riding with you. He said you don't want to cut the radio because I realized there's so many things in our society that keep us distracted.
Speaker 1:About 25 years ago I was in London, england, and actually London, england. That was my first time preaching overseas. But the way I was preaching in the famous Westminster we had a powerful conference there and the way of the worship that's when I really began to get a comprehension of the word Kabod. The way of God's glory came in that conference that we begin to see signs, wonders and miracles. When I came back to my church I got angry because some of them were singing the same songs, but it was a completely different spirit, because worship is not about a song. One of the things that I told people the Bible said Abraham is what Isaac he said. He told those two guys we're going up to the mountains to worship. He did not mean we were going up there to sing songs slowly, but he means that we were going up there to worship and really have a God encounter.
Speaker 2:Listen, there's so much I want to say to you, but would you talk about the marriage or the merge of worship and prayer, the marriage or the merge of worship and prayer, oh, wow, I mean to be honest, before I enter into my prayer chamber I have to be outside in worship, because I worship sets me up and positions me to everything. I'm getting ready to walk in his presence before. In thy presence is fullness of joy and at thy right hand are pleasures forevermore. So the worship, it breaks me to a point of the sovereignty of God. And so when worship is that positioning that you go in before you even go to ask him anything, it puts my mind into this apostle.
Speaker 2:I must honor who I come in here to talk to. I got to honor him in the beauty of holiness. I got to honor him for saving someone, a wretch like me. I got to worship and honor him because I was a wretch, I was unfit, I was broken. And so when you go to worship, it's the worth. What is it worth to you, what is he worth to you? So that puts me in a whole nother level. My spirit worship Now you want to really, because sometimes people don't have't really heard me pray. But if I worship for an hour and then you put me on my face, that's a different kind of sound.
Speaker 2:Yes that's a different kind of sound because it's now my spirit understands the word that he has in my heart. So it turns the spirit man, into where the Holy Ghost is now doing the intercession. The Holy Ghost is now doing the interceding. It's no longer this flesh, and now the spirit knows what I ought to pray Come on here. It knows what I ought to be in here praying about anyway, not my agenda. It knows what I ought to be in here praying about anyway, not my agenda.
Speaker 1:So worship opens us up to where we need to be in the realm of the spirit at the time because it reminds us of what God's worth to us in our personal life and bring us to a position of the purpose that he is in our own lives. Worship gets the attention of God. John 4 and 24, the father seek of such. The father's looking for people that worship him in spirit and truth. When we get his intention, then we begin to get his mind. When we begin to get his mind, we begin to get his will. That's why miracles are birthed out in the realm of worship. That's why miracles are birthed out in the realm of worship. You know, we need more than a church that the only thing they know how to do is preach and, mind you, prophesy, Because I'm not just impressed because somebody prophesied. The Bible said give some callings without repentance, but people that really listen to the phrase I'm going to to use, people that really know how to touch God. That's what we need right now. We need more than just good preachers. We need people that know how to touch God. I'm going to release it to you in just a moment. I really this.
Speaker 1:This interview is going so fast. I don't want to stop, but I guess, I guess I'll just throw this in, because it's one of my notes, but I'll throw this in how do we know that we've heard from God? Because a lot of people they say, well, I don't know if this is God or not. Now I'm going to tell you what I say. I say 1 Thessalonians, 5 and 23. May the God of peace sanctify you, Holy Spirit, soul and body. When I teach this, I tell people you've got to have the ability to understand what is being spoken to your spirit versus spoken to your soul. But you do realize you've been doing conferences for years. This is a continual question for many people in the body of Christ. How do I know that I'm hearing from God, Dr Goggins?
Speaker 2:Absolutely. I'm going to go right to Psalms 34 and 15. When I live right, when I live a righteous life I know he hears me the Bible is for the righteous, and so a lot of times we don't want to line our lifestyle up with the Bible and with the 66 books, but we want to be used by God, but we want to live according to the word Psalms 34 and 15 said the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:So not only is he looking at us, then it says that and his ears are attentive to their cry. How do I know he's listening? How do I know he hears me? It's when I live right, when I live holy, when I sacrifice, when I stay in a place of sacredness, fasting, prayer, meditation, reading my word. You know, because you're walking upright. He said no good thing, I hold with them that walk what? Upright? When you know what? Listen when I'm on my consecration, you can't. I know he's hearing me. When I go in there and pray, I know he's hearing me. I know, and that's one of the tricks of the enemy Did God say that You'll hear people say? Did God say that I didn't say anything to you because I didn't know if it was God or not? That's a trick of the enemy. Have faith to believe If you live right. He's got his eyes on you, baby.
Speaker 2:If you walk right with him, he says he's inclining his ear to the righteous man. He hears us. So whatever you're saying, he hears us. Right now, when you're praying, he hear us. Why? Because we live right so I connect. Can God hear me with my lifestyle, absolutely.
Speaker 1:I like it because Isaiah 59 and 2 says your iniquities have called me to hide my face from you when it comes to my iniquities. It causes a separation between us and God and a lot of people one of the things that I do love was symbolic of the Old Testament that their hands had to be clean when they touched things in the tabernacle, even to the point that when the priest would go in he would go from level to level, level to level, but they kept a rope around his waist because if he went into the presence of God and his life was unclean, he would drop dead and they would drag him out of there.
Speaker 1:You know I love to teach on the tabernacle, because the tabernacle shows us how to approach God. It shows us different levels the altar, the laver, the lampstand, the showbread. The altar where he would actually light the altar twice a day, which is a picture of how men ought to always pray. But all of this, ultimately, is to carry us into the presence of God.
Speaker 1:But the enemy doesn't want us to experience that. He doesn't want us to experience that. Before I let you just turn you loose and let you flow I want to ask you a question what is it that we need to understand about spiritual warfare if we're going to move forward in intercession? What does a person and I want to you said for you it was 1997, and for me it was 1996. I want to go back to the and let's not forget about titles I want to go back to the 1997 Teresa and I want to go back to the 1996 Eugene. I want to go back to the 1997 Teresa and I'm going to go back to the 1996 Eugene. What do they need to understand as they get ready to go and embrace this ministry of intercession? What?
Speaker 2:do they need to understand about spiritual warfare, absolutely, totally used by God. Teresa had to be broken all the way down. When I tell you to the point that every time I thought I could get up and start to walk, god would take something else, god said you can't do that he would take, he would just purge in my life, taking everything even so much to the rejection of family. God, when it comes to if he's going to use you as a vessel of interest or give authority over you, to you, over to you, or call you into a place of spiritual warfare, armed conflict, engaging the enemies of this world, listen, you're going to have to be sold out. Teresa had to sell out everything I had to be broken.
Speaker 2:Teresa had to sell out everything I had to be broken. I had to give up everything. I had to cry and pray this prayer Lord, if nobody go with me, I'm going to go. I literally had to give. That girl was so broken I would come out and look normal. But when I was in that prayer place and you got to love spending time with God, and once I found the time, I mean hours and hours. And when I turn off the watch, to stop saying what time is it?
Speaker 2:I'm in here because of the experience.
Speaker 1:Right right.
Speaker 2:I'm in here because of the presence of God. I'm in here because every time I come out, I'm better. Every time something changes, I become a better wife, I become a better mother, I become a better teacher. Every time I stay in this place, I become better. So I fell so in love with it, and so that's what you have to do and understand. And, mind you, in 97, I had no clue what I was doing.
Speaker 1:Right, right right.
Speaker 2:He said build a sea of intercessors. And I asked God, what is an intercessor? Right, right, I had to go study what it was and as I was studying he was causing me to live it out. So some of some people come to our conference and they'll see the deliverance. They'll see different things, but those are things I saw years ago in dreams and visions and when I would trance out I would see these taking this prayer conference to international waters and I'm like little me, surely you couldn't be giving that to me. And all of those things have manifested over time. But the main thing is sold out. If you're coming over here to the intercessory land you got to sell out. You got to sell out mind, body and soul, spirit. Everything got to be sold out to God, Nothing being held back from him.
Speaker 1:He uses I like to use the term Davidic people, people that are like David.
Speaker 1:You look at Saul. The Bible talks about how Saul was anointed. The Bible says he was anointed with a flask of oil, a flask of oil, a flask of oil, a flask of oil. A flask of oil. A flask of oil. A flask of oil. A flask of oil, a flask of oil, a flask of oil. The horn it came off of an animal, meaning something had to die for that oil to begin to flow. If the oil is really going to flow in our life, there are things in us that have that they must. They must die if we're really going to walk in the grace that God has for our life. Listen, I've enjoyed my interview with you. I'm going to pull myself off of the screen. I'm going to release you to whatever you feel like the Lord is saying to the body of Christ. People are listening to you and they're going to continue to listen to this podcast. I want you to speak into their life what you feel, as though the Holy Spirit is saying right now.
Speaker 2:It is completely in your hand praise God and glory to God in the highest. Listen, it has been an honor and a privilege to be with you today. But I am literally thinking about for you today John 10 and 10, and it talks about the thief he come to kill, still in his drawer. But God Jesus, he came that you might have life and have it more abundantly. I am literally living in the abundance of Christ. One of the things that, in order to get to that abundant life, is to understand the love of God. It's to understand that Jesus loves you unconditionally. God, the Father, jesus the Son. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that you and I may have the right to eternal life. And then Jesus followed the will of the father and submitted unto death that he will be resurrected. Here we are in holy week and I want you to know on this afternoon listen, he loves you unconditionally. There is no place that you can lay and put your bed that he won't come and rescue you. His love is ready to rescue you, no matter where you are in your life.
Speaker 2:You could feel like you're in the worst part of your life, the worst that nobody loves you. Matter of fact, some of you could be giving up on life, but I'm telling you, because of the love of Jesus Christ for your life, he gave his life that you may have the right to eternal life. And I want you to, wherever you are, wherever you're watching this, never forget the love that was shed on Calvary for you. Now let me tell you about this something If you ever experienced the love of God in your life, you'll never seek it from a person. Once you experience the love of Jesus Christ, the love of God in your life, you will never seek it from man, because you will be totally fulfilled when you realize that you are just that special to him, that you are just that important to him. He loves you unconditionally and he loves you so much that he wants you to be saved. He wants you to be saved so that you may have an eternal peace and live with him forever.
Speaker 2:Listen, believer, I am here to encourage you today. No matter, don't forget to commune with him, because the love of prayer and the love of God it causes you to commune with him. It is because of his love that we are found seeking and wondering where is God's presence, where's the allness of God today in our lives. I'm telling you that's the love of the father drawing you in. It is the greatest thing that you could have in your life today. Not money, not things, not cars, not houses, but the love of God, that same love that saved you one day, that same love that will raise you, that same love will make sure that you spend eternal life with him.
Speaker 2:Listen, I love you so much on this afternoon. I want to just pray with you on this afternoon and begin to intercede with you on this that the best is yet to come in your life. Listen, we're standing in the gap, literally as intercessors for your families, for your countries, for the nation that God will get glory out of every situation that you encounter on today. I believe that miracle signs and wonders are coming to them. That believe, listen, we're in our greatest hour. Believer, god bless you.
