The battle isn't yours—it belongs to the Lord. This powerful morning prayer session dives deep into the liberating truth that God fights for us when we surrender our struggles to Him.

Starting with the profound scripture from 1 Samuel 17:47, we explore how God doesn't require swords or spears to deliver victory. Whether you're facing giants of addiction, wayward children, health challenges, or seemingly impossible situations, this prayer time reminds us that our human strength has limits, but God's power knows no bounds.

Through passionate intercession, we press into God's promises, claiming divine intervention for every battle you're facing. "Many are the afflictions of the righteous," but God specializes in bringing His people through the valleys of life. We pray specifically for those battling addictions, declaring freedom through Christ's blood that "reaches to the highest mountain and flows to the lowest valley."

Protection prayers cover your children, your travel, your work, and every area of your life. We claim divine favor that goes beyond what money can do—favor that causes others to prefer you, to give to you, and to support your endeavors.

The devotional reminds us that Monday isn't something to dread but an opportunity to witness God moving in our lives. His victory comes not through worldly weapons but through our obedience, our faith, and His limitless power.

Welcome to Morning Prayer

Speaker 1

Good morning, welcome to Morning Prayer. We are thanking the Lord, honoring Him and praising Him for keeping us as we slept. Today is June 30th 2025, and we're just thanking the Lord for giving us another day. The church mothers used to sing a song that said just another day, that the Lord has kept me. We thank God for keeping us and allowing us to assure another day and the New International Version of the Bible. It reads All those gathered here will know that this is not by sword or spear, but that the Lord saves, for the battle is the Lord's and he will give all of you into our hands. Amen.

The Battle Belongs to God

Speaker 1

I did mess up that scripture. I'm going to read it one more time as it is written here All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves, for the battle is the Lord's and he will give all of you into our hands. Amen, and the word of the Lord is blessed. Let us go before the Lord this morning. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Lord, we praise you, we love you and we exalt you. We give you glory and honor. Hallelujah, hallelujah, have your way here, have your way here, have your way here, have your way here, lord. Have your way here, lord, have your way here. Oh, bless your name, oh, bless your name. Oh, bless your name. God, have your way here, have your way here, move like you want to move, move, and these, your people, move here on the line in the name of Jesus. We say yes, lord, we say yes, lord, we say yes, lord, oh, shaka, we want you to have your way in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we come to you, giving you glory and praise, thanking you, lord, for opening our eyes. Lord, thanking you, lord, for bringing us into another day. Thank you, lord, for the start of another week. Lord, god, we thank you. God, we thank you. The day was not promised to us, god, we thank you. The day was not promised to us, god, we thank you, oh God, regardless of how we feel in our bodies. God, we thank you. Thank you for another day, father. I'm asking even now, father, that you'll touch us, lord, and prepare our hearts and our minds for the day. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you because, lord, we know that if you lead us, lord, that you will lead us and we will not. Hallelujah, fall victim. Hallelujah, we will not be in a place where we're uncovered. But, god, if you lead us, oh God, we go into the day prepared. And God, we thank you, god, we thank you for preparation today.

Pressing Through Life's Challenges

Speaker 1

In the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray, lord, that you'll clean our hearts and clean our minds. In the name of Jesus, wash us, lord, wash us, lord, wash us over again. In the name of Jesus, oh God, forgive us of our sins and of our iniquities. In the name of Jesus, oh Jesus, oh Lord, I pray, god, I pray for your people. Lord, lord, your word says that many are the afflictions of the righteous. Oh God, oh God, I know that many are going through, I know that many are enduring trials, many are enduring challenges, oh God, whether it be outwardly, lord, with things that are happening outside of them, or God, whether it be internally, with things going on in their minds, but God, all the same, lord, they're going through trials, they're going through tests, they're going through hard situations. Oh God, many are finding themselves in the valley of life, lord, oh God, some may be on the mountaintop, but many are dealing with uncertainty and dealing with the low of life. Father, I ask that you'll strengthen them, strengthen them. In the name of Jesus, oh God. Strengthen their faith, lord. Strengthen their faith, god. Strengthen their trust in you, lord, in the name of Jesus. Help them, lord. Give them strength, lord, to fight on. Lord, in the name of Jesus. Give them strength, lord, to keep believing. Lord. Give them strength, lord, to keep on moving forward. In the name of Jesus. Give us strength, god. Give us strength, god, oh God, to keep pushing, to keep pressing. Oh God, to keep pushing, to keep pressing, oh Jesus, the word of God. It declares that I press, I press toward the mark of the high calling which is in Christ Jesus. We're pressing, we're pressing. You called us God and we're pressing. You called us God and we're pressing. We're pressing to meet you At the point of destiny. We're pressing to fulfill Every vow that we made to you, oh God. We're pressing, oh God, to take up our cross and to follow you. We're pressing to do your work. We're pressing to be a good example. We're pressing. We're pressing. We're pressing for our families. We're pressing, oh God, I pray that you'll give strength for the press, god, in the name of God. Strength for the press, god in the name of Yahweh. No-transcript. Lord, we thank you. We thank you even in the midst of the trial. We thank you, oh god.

Speaker 1

We understand that the battle belongs, not belong to us. The battle belongs to you, lord. And so, god, we thank you for bringing us through, for fighting this battle for us, for fighting this battle for us. You showed us in your word that you will fight for your people. There was battles that were won without swords, without spears, without bow, without arrow. There was fights that were won, battles that were won by superior enemies. Oh, it was superior enemies, people that the Israelites were afraid of, oh God, because they trusted you, Lord, you fought the battle and oftentimes gave them the spoils, gave them the goodness, the treasure of their enemy.

Speaker 1

Oh God, the battle is not ours. The battle belongs to you. Oh God, we thank you because we understand that sometimes it's not even about us. We understand that sometimes it's only for your glory. We understand that sometimes it has nothing to do with us, nothing to do with our behavior, nothing to do, letting you down. But God, oh, hallelujah. We know that some things you have just ordained to be, some trials you have just ordained to be, you take no pleasure in it, but you'll bring us through it. You will bring us through it, you will fight for us and cause hallelujah others to see your glory. My battle, lord, fight my battle Lord. Fight my battle, lord. Fight my battle, lord.

Speaker 1

Some of us are battling an enemy even in our homes. Oh, fight my battle, lord. Fight my battle, lord, in the name of Jesus, fight our battles in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we're asking, we're asking that you'll fight for us. We're asking, oh God, that you'll cause the enemy to retreat in the name of Jesus. Retreat in the name of Jesus. Shut down my mother. Who shall cause the enemy to retreat?

Speaker 1

In the name of Jesus, oh Lord, I pray for your people. I pray God. I pray for wayward sons and wayward daughters. In the name of Jesus, I pray, lord, I pray God, that you'll return them, oh God, even as the prodigal son, lord, oh, who went away to indulge in riotous living and came back home after he had lost it all, came back home more humble, came back home more ready to be who his father had intended him to be, oh God, I pray, lord, oh, that the prodigal daughter will return, that the prodigal son will return.

Breaking Addictions Through Prayer

Speaker 1

In the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray for your people. I pray God, and we come against every addiction In the name of Jesus, every addiction in the name of Jesus, oh God. Oh, whether it be alcohol or cigarettes or cannabis, whatever it may be. We come against every addiction In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, your blood prevail, your blood prevail. Your blood prevail. Break the yoke of the enemy. Destroy the yoke. God. In the name of Jesus, shaman the soul. In the name of Jesus, we declare and we plead the blood of Jesus. Oh, the blood that was shed on Calvary, oh the blood that came from the stripes on his back, oh, the blood that reaches to the highest mountain and flows to the lowest valley. The blood prevail over every addiction, over every mind-altering substance.

Speaker 1

In the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray, lord, that you'll do it for your people, that you'll do it for their children, that you'll do it for their children's children. In the name of Jesus, lord, I pray. I pray for the health of your people. I thank you for their wellness, god. I thank you for their mental health. I thank you, god. I thank you, god, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. I thank you, god, that they, oh God, will prosper and be in good health, even as their soul shall prosper. Oh God, I thank you, oh God, for turning the doctor's report around. In the name of Jesus, oh God, make them have to go back and look again. Make them have to go back and reassess the situation. Make them have to go back, lord, and change the report. Oh God, that your name be glorified. In the name of Jesus, I pray for your people, I pray for their day, I pray for their week. In the name of Jesus.

Oh God, favor with man. God, give them favor in the name of Jesus, lord, we're blessing you and we're thanking you. Oh God, we thank you now In Jesus' name. Thank God and amen, hallelujah.

Speaker 1

We're thanking God even now, thanking him for a Monday, a Monday. Sometimes Mondays can be depressing. Sometimes, when people get up on Monday, they're not happy about the day because they know that they've got to go to work or they've got obligations to keep. But we thank God for Monday, hallelujah. We thank God for Monday, for another day, for another chance for us to see the hand of God move in our life.

Speaker 1

We thank him for today, and so our devotional for this for today, for Monday, it's called the Battle is the Lord's. The battle belongs to the Lord. Words the battle belongs to the Lord. I'm just going to read a small piece of it. It says your struggle may not look like a giant on a battlefield, but the pressure, fear or opposition you're facing might feel just as impossible. Don't forget God doesn't need worldly weapons to win your war. He works through your obedience, your faith and his power. Amen, aren't you glad to know that God does not need our weapons? He does not need our weapons to win the war. He needs our obedience and our faith that he may work through his power and then taking the Lord.
