The Power of Guided Speech: Harnessing Words for Divine Purpose

Every word we speak has power. The Morning Prayer for August 27th, 2025 takes us on a profound journey exploring how our words shape our reality, relationships, and spiritual journey. Centered on Psalm 19:14, we seek divine guidance for our speech, praying that the words of our mouths will be acceptable to God.
Navigating relationships often means controlling our speech when emotions run high. We explore how God grants us grace to speak kindly even when frustrated, allowing us to cast our burdens on Him rather than lashing out at others. The prayer reminds us that our words carry tremendous spiritual weight - just as God spoke creation into existence, we too have been given the power to speak life or death into situations.
The heart of this episode features powerful declarations over different aspects of our lives. We speak life over marriages, declaring love and contentment. We proclaim excellence and resilience over our children. We speak revival and godliness over our churches and nation. These aren't merely positive affirmations but spiritual acts aligning with God's purposes for our lives.
When we understand the tremendous power in our speech, we begin using our words more carefully. We cancel negative assignments, plead the blood of Jesus over strongholds, and thank God in advance for breakthroughs we haven't yet seen. This episode will transform how you view your words, helping you speak healing instead of hurt, building bridges instead of barriers.

Speaker 1Morning. Welcome to Morning Prayer. Today is August 27th, 2025. Today we are going to pray that God will guide our words, that he'll guide the words that we speak. And 14 in the New King James Version. It reads let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19 and 14. And we're going to go before the Lord in prayer this morning. Thank you, lord. Thank you, lord Hallelujah. Thank you, lord Hallelujah. Thank you, lord.
Speaker 1We praise your name, we praise your name, lord, we praise your name. We praise your name, lord, we thank you. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Who is like the Lord? There is none like you, hallelujah, oh, bless your name, god, hallelujah. You, hallelujah, oh, bless your name, god, hallelujah, hallelujah, oh God, hallelujah, I lift you up. I praise you, hallelujah. We lift you up, lord Hallelujah, hallelujah, we praise your marvelous name, hallelujah. We praise your excellent name, god, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, lord Hallelujah, oh God, we thank you, lord Hallelujah, hallelujah, thank you for allowing us to assemble together another time. Father, father, we thank you, lord Hallelujah. It is you, lord, that opened our eyes this morning. It is you, god Hallelujah, that gave us breath. Oh God, this morning, lord, we thank you, lord, we thank you. Oh God, hallelujah, we thank you for how attentive to us you are, lord Hallelujah, you never forget about us. Oh God, you never forget about us and we thank you, god. We thank you, lord Hallelujah, that you see about us daily. Oh God, we thank you, lord Hallelujah, that we can count on you and depend on you. Father, oh God, I pray this morning, lord Hallelujah, that as we are coming together in prayer, father Hallelujah, hallelujah, that Holy Spirit would lead our prayers and guide it in the name of Jesus. Oh God, guide the words of our mouths. This morning, oh God, we're asking, lord, that you'll guide the words that we speak. Lord, in the name of Jesus, oh God, even in this time of prayer, father, guide our words in the name of Jesus. Oh God, hallelujah, we thank you, lord, we thank you, god, lord, for giving us, father hallelujah, a path forward. God, oh God, I pray, lord, that you'll guide our words, lord Hallelujah, as we encounter our loved ones this morning, in the name of Jesus, oh God, oh God.
The Power of Words in Relationships
Speaker 1Sometimes, lord, we don't speak to each other as we should. Oh God, sometimes, lord, our mood, god, and the things that are going on with us, oh God, oh God, they cause us, lord, to be harsh, lord, they cause us, god, hallelujah, to be short with one another. I pray, god, I pray that you'll help us, god, that you'll give us grace. God, lord, to give each other grace in the name of Jesus, oh God, help us to extend grace to one another in the name of Jesus. Help us, oh God, to have patience with one another.
Speaker 1In the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray. I pray that you'll give us to not lash out our frustrations on one another, but, god, I pray that you'll give us to cast our frustrations on you this morning, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, you are strong enough to handle our frustrations. You are strong enough, oh God, to handle, oh God, what is going on with us emotionally. Oh God, I ask, lord, that, even in this time of prayer, god, oh Lord, that you'll begin to lift the burden, oh God, from the shoulders of your people. God, oh Father, the things, lord, the things that cause them to be afraid, oh God, the things that cause them to worry, oh God, I pray, lord, that you'll attend to those. In the name of Jesus, oh Father, I pray, god, that you'll guide these words, oh God, these words that we speak from our mouth. God, in the name of Jesus, lord, guide our words, father, even in our workplaces, lord, even in our interactions, lord, that deal with our work. Father, I pray that you'll guide our words. Oh God, season our words with grace. In the name of Jesus, father, help us to not be people of negative report. God, in the name of Jesus, help us to be people of good report.
Speaker 1In the name of Jesus, oh God, give us, lord, how to speak life, lord, even when things don't look like what we want them to look like. Oh God, I pray, look like. Oh God, I pray. I pray, lord, that you'll give us to understand the weight of our words. Oh God, give us to understand that the power of life and death is in our own tongue, oh God, god, oh God. Our words have weight in the spirit realm. Our words have weight, oh God, in the natural realm. Oh God, help us to understand the importance of what we say and to speak life, oh God, even when situations look dark. God, in the name of Jesus, oh God, I thank you. Oh God, in Genesis you said, oh God, that you spoke into the darkness, you spoke into the void, oh God, and things began to form. Oh God, the earth, the stars, o God, and things began to form. O God, the earth, the stars, o God, the sun, the moon, o God, the sky, the seas, o God, everything that we see. O God, in nature, o God, lord, you formed it by the words of your mouth, god, oh God. I thank you, lord, because God, you have made us, lord, to be like you, lord, oh God, help us, lord, to understand the power in our words. Father, Help us to not forsake, oh God, the power in our words. Father, oh God, I pray today. I pray, lord, that you'll turn us around. God, in the name of Jesus, oh God, where we've been speaking death over a situation, where we've been speaking doom over a situation, oh God, give us, lord hallelujah, to find a good report about the situation. Oh God, give us, Lord hallelujah, to keep words to ourselves. God, if it's not good. Father, in the name of Jesus, the name of Jesus, oh God, even when we talk about others, oh God, oh God, the things we say about others, oh God, help us. You, lord, I thank you for this power that you have given to us. Oh God, I thank you for this power that you have given to us, lord, oh God. The great power, oh God, to speak those things that be not as though they were, oh God. You've given that to us, lord, god, give us to respect that God and give us how, lord, to walk in it. We thank the Lord this morning for his presence for this time of prayer, and we're going to prepare to go into our time of devotional.
Speaker 1So, even as I am grabbing our devotional for those that want to read our entire devotional, for those that want to read our entire devotional, it is on our Facebook page and our Instagram page. Monday through Friday, there's a devotional there that tends to go hand in hand with our prayer, amen. And so it is found at Healing Word C-O-G-I-C on Facebook and Instagram. So our scripture was let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, o Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19 and 14.
Speaker 1Our description of the devotional for today reads Lord, guide my words, let them heal, not hurt, build, not break. Reflect you in all I say, amen, hallelujah. We want God to give us to have healing words, amen, hallelujah. We want God to help us to have words that build up and not destroy things, unless if it is the plan of the enemy, amen. But we want God to give us to have words that build bridges, amen. And so we're asking the Lord to continue to guide us in how we speak and what we say. Amen. I pray that you will have a beautiful day today, a God-filled day today. Ah, yes, before I go, I thank the Lord for Pastor Mark Bayman Jr, pastor of Healing Word Ministries. I thank the Lord for our Healing Word family. I even thank the Lord for you that prayed for us, prayed with us and for us this morning. Have a wonderful day.
