What if the key to unlocking supernatural breakthrough has been right in front of us all along?
The power of gratitude extends far beyond polite "thank yous" and holiday traditions. When we dive deep into 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – "give thanks in all circumstances" – we discover a radical spiritual practice that transforms our hardest seasons into pathways for divine intervention.
This morning's prayer journey takes us through the remarkable story of Paul and Silas, who while imprisoned and chained, chose to sing praises to God. Their worship wasn't just admirable – it literally broke their chains and opened prison doors. Their example reveals how gratitude functions as more than a pleasant attitude; it's a spiritual force that invites supernatural breakthrough when we feel most trapped.
We all experience those moments when life throws curveballs – when depression creeps in, when negative thoughts spiral, when circumstances feel overwhelming. Yet gratitude offers a powerful reframe: "Gratitude isn't just about what's going right; it's about who is still with you, even when it's not." By shifting our focus from our problems to God's presence, we position ourselves for peace that transcends understanding.
Through heartfelt prayer and biblical exploration, we unpack how developing an "attitude of gratitude" helps us see our trials as divine setups rather than devastating setbacks. Every challenge becomes an opportunity to strengthen faith, develop patience, and prepare for purpose. Even in sickness, uncertainty, or difficulty, thanksgiving becomes our weapon against despair.
Join us in this transformative practice of intentional gratitude – not because our circumstances are perfect, but because God's faithfulness remains unwavering through it all. Your breakthrough might be just one "thank you" away.

Amen, and our scripture for today is 1 Thessalonians, the 5th chapter and the 18th verse in the New International Version of the Bible. In the new international version of the Bible, it reads give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Amen, and we are asking the Lord this morning to give us to have a grateful heart, to be grateful. Amen, and let us go before the throne of grace.

And, god, I pray this morning, lord, that you'll touch your people this morning, in the name of Jesus, oh God, I thank you because you're not afar off, but, lord, you are close to them, lord, you are there with them, god, oh God, and you know every situation that they are encountering. God, you know what's happening, lord, but, god, you also care about what's going on. And, god, not only do you care about what's going on. Father, oh Lord, you're strong enough. Touch your people, god, and meet them at the point of their need.

God, oh Father, you covered us.

We thank you God, oh God, everything that we are we owe to you, father, oh God, we thank you today, oh God, we thank you, lord, oh God, give us to not have, oh God, a heart of complaining, but God, give us to have a grateful heart. We thank you, lord, that you heal issues of blood. We thank you, lord, oh God, that you can work a miracle.
Speaker 1God, for all that you've done, lord, for all that you've shown us that you can do. God, we realize that there is so much more that you can do than what we know, god. But, god, what we do know is that you never fail. We thank you that you never fail. We thank you that you will not fail us in our time of need, that you will not fail us in our time of sickness.
Speaker 1Oh God, I thank you, father. I'm asking Lord, I'm asking, father, that you'll change our perspective in life. Lord, in the name of Jesus, god, give us to not be limited, god, by negative thinking. But, god, I pray, I pray, father, that you'll give us, lord, to look at every season as a setup. Lord, give us to look at every season, lord, and to see. Lord, give us to look at every season, lord, and to see, oh God, that you are setting us up, lord, to walk in our purpose, to walk in our victory.

In the name of Jesus, oh God, not because I am powerful, god, but because you are powerful, not for what I've done, but for Calvary, god, oh God, for Calvary, lord, and the blood that was shed for our freedom. I declare freedom, oh, come on and declare it in your home. I declare freedom, freedom in the spirit, in the name of Jesus, freedom in the spirit in the name of Jesus, oh God.

The Power of a Grateful Heart
Speaker 1I pray this morning, lord, oh God, for coverage, god, coverage, god, in the name of Jesus, god, I thank you, we thank you today. We thank you today, hallelujah, we thank you, lord. This is the day that you have made. You've made this day, oh God, we thank you. We thank you for today, Lord. God, I pray that we treat our moments as precious gifts. Oh God, I pray, lord, I pray God, that we treat these moments and not take them for granted. Lord, I pray, lord, that you'll have your way and your move in us and through us. In Jesus' name, we pray, thank God and amen. Amen, hallelujah, hallelujah.
Speaker 1I honor the Lord this morning. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I honor the Lord this morning, hallelujah, thanking the Lord for feeling his spirit, for feeling his spirit. It's a privilege, hallelujah, it's a privilege to feel the spirit of God. It's a privilege, thank God, for being with us this morning. We know that God is always with us, but thank God for us being able to feel his spirit. Hallelujah, to feel that he is there. Hallelujah, all right, and so hallelujah.
Speaker 1This morning let's deal with the devotional. The devotional this morning is entitled the Power of a Grateful Heart. The Power of a Grateful Heart. Our scripture was 1 Thessalonians 5 and 18. Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah.
Speaker 1And a description of our devotional is that gratitude isn't just about what's going right. Gratitude isn't just about what's going right. It's about who is still with you, even when it's not. Amen. Today, choose thankfulness. Today, choose thankfulness, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
Speaker 1I am a witness that life can throw us some curveballs. Amen, life can throw us some curveballs. We can find ourselves in low points in life. We can find ourselves not just in low places, but thinking low. Amen, hallelujah. Sometimes sadness overcomes us, sometimes depression overcomes us. I don't know about you, but every now and then I have a good, old-fashioned pity party. Amen.
Closing and Labor Day Wishes
Speaker 1Begin to think about what's not going right and the things that I would have, should have, could have done differently, hallelujah. Sometimes we have moments and days like that, but understand that the Bible tells us to give thanks in all things and all things give thanks. And what we love, what I love about gratitude is it begins to elevate our minds, it begins to bring us higher, even in God, it begins to give us, to recall to our mind, the things that God has done for us. Hallelujah. The word of God says this. I recall to my mind. Therefore, I have hope Hallelujah. Therefore, I have hope Hallelujah Because I've thought about what God has already done instead of the situation that I can't seem to see my way out of. Amen, hallelujah. And so we are intentionally being grateful today, intentionally being thankful today, because, yes, we may be going through, we may be, but God has been good Hallelujah. God has been good, Hallelujah, and we thank him for that. Amen. So, at this time, we are preparing to leave the line, we're preparing to go.
