When life's challenges seem overwhelming, where do we turn? The anniversary of September 11th reminds us that even in our darkest moments, prayer serves as both anchor and compass. Today's powerful episode explores Romans 12:12—"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer"—revealing how these ancient words offer profound guidance for modern struggles.

Prayer transforms from a daily ritual into a heart posture that sustains us through every season. We discover what it means to acknowledge God in all our decision-making rather than compartmentalizing our spiritual life. The conversation explores how rejoicing in hope isn't naive optimism but spiritual resilience that carries us through depression and discouragement. For those feeling forgotten or labeled the "black sheep," this message brings particular comfort, affirming God's intimate awareness of every struggle.

As political tensions rise and uncertainties abound, we're reminded of God's sovereignty over all earthly powers. Nothing surprises Him, and no situation is beyond His reach. Through heartfelt prayers and personal reflections, we learn how developing a prayer-centered heart positions us to experience peace regardless of external circumstances. "Your heart was made to stay close to His"—this simple truth becomes transformative when embraced daily. Listen now to discover how constant prayer might change everything about how you navigate life's challenges.

Remembering September 11th

Speaker 1

Good morning and welcome to Morning Prayer. Today is September 11, 2025, and we are here this morning not only to pray, but also to remember those that were seized and that were destroyed at that time. So we are remembering those that are affected today. Many people's lives changed forever on that day and we're holding them up in prayer. Today.

Rejoice in Hope, Be Patient

Speaker 1

Our prayer focus is that God will give us a heart of prayer, and we are coming from Romans, the 12th chapter and the 12th verse in the English Standard Version of the Bible. It reads Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12 and 12. All right, and we're going before the Lord this morning. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. We praise you, god. Hallelujah, hallelujah, mighty God, we give you praise. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Thank you Lord, thank you Lord, thank you, lord, hallelujah, we lift your name on high. God, hallelujah, we lift your name on high. Oh God, I'm praying this morning that you'll be a present help. I pray, lord, that you'll have your way even as we're praying this morning. Holy Spirit, you're welcome. You're welcome here. You're welcome to lead this prayer. You're welcome to lead this prayer. You're welcome to touch. You're welcome to lead this prayer. You're welcome to lead this prayer. You're welcome to touch. You're welcome to deliver. You're welcome, hallelujah. You're welcome to heal. Have your way. Oh God, we thank you for this day. We thank you for your mighty hand. We thank you, god, for how you keep us, how you keep us even as we're slumbering, even as we're sleeping. Oh God, we thank you that you watch over us, you protect us. God, you keep us in the palm of your hand and we thank you of your hand and we thank you, oh Lord. I'm asking that you today, god, that you'll hold your people, oh God, in your hand. Hold them closely. God, in the name of Jesus, god, I pray, especially God, for those this morning that are struggling with the memory of 9-11. God, I pray, lord, that you'll hold them up, that you'll uplift them. Oh God, in the name of Jesus, oh God, I'm praying, lord, that you'll strengthen them. In the name of Jesus, oh God, I thank you because you're able to heal broken hearts. You're able to heal broken hearts. You're able to heal broken minds. God, you're able to do it and, lord, we're asking that you do it today, in the name of Jesus, I pray, god, that you'll give us a praying spirit. I pray that you'll give us a heart of prayer in the name of Jesus. I pray that you'll give us a heart of prayer in the name of Jesus, oh God. You told us, lord, to be patient in tribulation. You told us to be constant in prayer. You told us to rejoice in hope.

Speaker 1

God, oh Father, we're asking, lord, hallelujah, to be constant in prayer. We're asking God to seek you for practical guidance every day, oh God. We're asking you, oh God, to give us to not be just those that wake up in the morning and pray and then go about the day, doing things however we want to do them, doing things however we want to do them. But, god, we're asking that you'll help us to be led in our decision-making. Help us to present things to you, father, in the name of Jesus, oh God, you said in all of our ways to acknowledge you. Oh God, acknowledging you in all of our ways, oh God, hallelujah, putting you in all of our ways, oh God, hallelujah, putting you in front of everything that we want and desire and asking for your will to be done. Lord, you said, if we acknowledge you in all of our ways, that you will direct our paths. Oh God, we want our paths, god, oh Lord, to be pleasing. We want our paths, god, oh Lord, to be pleasing. We want our paths, god, hallelujah, to be successful, oh God. We want our paths, lord, to be blessed. So, god, help us, lord, help us, father Hallelujah, to remember you as we make decisions. Help us to acknowledge you as we go through the day.

Speaker 1

In the name of Jesus, oh God, we thank you. We thank you, lord, because you let us know that tribulations were a part of life. You let us know, god, that trials are a part of life, are part of our existence. God, you told us to be patient in tribulation. Oh God, I pray.

Speaker 1

I pray for that one, lord, I hallelujah, that one that the enemy is causing to feel that they've done something wrong. Oh God, the one that the enemy, hallelujah, is trying to make doubt. God, give up on God. I pray for them today, hallelujah, I pray, lord, that you'll produce patience in their tribulation. I pray, Lord, that as you're strengthening them, as you're molding them, as you're making them through these trials and through these tribulations, god, that you will help them, lord. Help them to remember that you love them and that you have not forgotten about them. Oh God, help them to not take it where they feel forgotten about. God, help them to not take it in such a way that they feel forsaken. But, god, I pray. I pray that they'll allow you to carry them through, to carry them through the situations.

Speaker 1

In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I ask this morning that you'll give us Lord to rejoice and hope. God, in the name of Jesus, oh Father, I pray. I pray that you'll not give us to be given to depression, father, oh God, but I pray, lord, that you'll help us to still be joyful, to still rejoice. Lord, knowing that the fight is fixed. Oh God, knowing, lord, that we win. Oh God, knowing, lord, that you're bringing us out in victory. Oh God, knowing, lord, that you're bringing us out in victory, oh God, knowing, lord, that you are our hope. God, oh Father, that you're with us and you're fighting the battle. God, god, help us, lord, to rejoice in hope.

Speaker 1

In the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray for those, oh God, who have been depressed, who are depressed, oh God, those, lord, hallelujah, that even the thought of today weighs them down. Oh God, I pray for their deliverance today, the name of Jesus, oh God, not that they'll forget what has happened, oh God, or the things that they've encountered. Lord, oh God, but, lord, that they will accept it. Oh God, oh Lord, that they'll accept what has happened by your hand. Oh God, in the name of Jesus, oh God, help, oh Lord, oh God, help, oh Lord, help and lift up their head.

Speaker 1

God, today, in the name of Jesus, oh Lord, I pray, I pray this morning, lord, that you'll touch lives today In the name of Jesus, that you'll turn lives around In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you, oh God, I thank you, lord, for prayer. God, I thank you, lord hallelujah, for our communication with you, for our communion with you. Father, oh God, we ask, lord, that you'll give us Lord to walk. Lord, in peace.

Speaker 1

Today, in the name of Jesus, oh God, help us to say that, yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with us. Oh God, you are with us. Oh God, you are with us everywhere that we go, everywhere that we are. God, lord, you are there with us and God, we thank you for it. Father, I ask, I ask, lord hallelujah, that you'll bring us closer, draw us in closer to you.

Speaker 1

God, in the name of Jesus, draw us in closer to you. God, in the name of Jesus, lord, your word says that when we draw nigh to you, that you draw nigh to us. God, oh God, close to your heart, Father, oh God, close in your will.

God, in the name of Jesus, oh God, we cancel the assignment of the enemy that comes against the people of God, that comes against us to delay us, to deter us, to kill, steal and destroy. Oh God, we cancel, hallelujah, every trap of the enemy. We cancel, hallelujah, oh God, anything that he has tried to set up. Oh God, oh Lord, to be in the way today. We thank the Lord for this time. We thank the Lord for prayer. We thank the Lord that in prayer, we begin to remember. We begin to remember the vastness of the God that we serve. We begin to see that the big situations that were worrying us, we were worried about hallelujah, are not big to God, hallelujah, but that they are God-sized or God is still in control of them. He's able to do what no other power can do. Amen. Thank you for bearing with me this morning, for praying with me this morning. Amen.

Speaker 1

We thank the Lord for our devotional today. Our devotional today is called A Heart of Prayer. A Heart of Prayer, and the description is Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12 and 12. Prayer isn't just something we do. It's the posture of a heart that trusts God in every season. Keep praying, even when it's quiet, even when it's hard. Your heart was made to stay close to his Amen. Your heart was made to stay close to the heart of God, amen. So we thank the Lord. We thank the Lord for how awesome he is, how mindful of us he is, amen. And we thank God for this time of prayer. We honor Pastor Mark Bayman Jr and the Healing Word family.

Closing Devotional: Heart of Prayer

Speaker 1

I thank the Lord for those that have gotten on the line this morning and prayed with us and even began to pray, for those that will listen to the replay of the prayer. We thank God because through him and in him, this podcast does get distributed and it does go out to those. I mentioned earlier this week that last week we had 125 downloads, 125 people that had access to the prayers that we were praying that week, and every week we get a number of how many, a number of how many downloads we have, and it seems to be steadily increasing and we thank the Lord for that. We thank the Lord for those that listen to the replay. We pray that you are blessed. We pray that God's hand would be with you and upon you. Amen. All right, loved ones, we'll talk to you tomorrow, if the Lord is willing, have a wonderful day.
