Faith Beyond Sight: Loving Christ Deeply

Have you ever wondered how to deeply love someone you've never physically seen? This profound spiritual question forms the heart of today's powerful Morning Prayer session centered on 1 Peter 1:8: "Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory."
We journey through the beautiful paradox of Christian faith—developing an intimate relationship with Christ without physical sight. This unseen love produces an inexpressible joy that transcends circumstantial happiness, rooting believers in something deeper and more substantial than what the physical world offers.
The prayer moves tenderly between intercession for new believers and seasoned saints. For those newly saved, we ask for focus amid distractions, spiritual hunger that drives them to Scripture, and connection to ministries of integrity where they can flourish. For long-time believers, we pray for rekindled passion and the same fervor they experienced when first encountering Christ's love.
A significant portion focuses on embracing our identity as "peculiar people"—set apart by God not to blend in but to stand out in ways that draw others to Christ. This peculiarity isn't about being odd for oddness' sake, but about living transformed lives that prompt questions from a watching world. We pray for believers to find confidence and joy in this set-apart identity rather than constantly striving to fit into worldly patterns.
The session culminates in heartfelt intercession for the global church to experience fresh outpourings of God's Spirit—not through manufactured excitement but through authentic divine encounters that transform lives and communities. We ask for churches to be known primarily for God's tangible presence rather than programs or personalities.
Whether you're struggling with spiritual dryness, feeling the pressure to conform to cultural expectations, or simply wanting to deepen your love for Christ, this prayer session offers guidance, encouragement, and spiritual renewal. Welcome and Scripture Reading
Speaker 1Good morning, people of God. Welcome to Morning Prayer. Today is September 12, 2025. Our scripture for today is 1 Peter, the first chapter in the eighth verse in the English Standard Version of the Bible and the English Standard Version of the Bible Okay. And that reads Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory. 1 Peter, 1 and 8. And our devotional thought today, the things that we are focusing on in prayer, is loving Christ more deeply. Amen, and we are going to move in prayer this morning.
Speaker 1Father, we give you praise and honor, we glorify you. Your name is lifted up high, god. We lift your name up high, god, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, lord, you're so worthy, you're so worthy, you're so worthy. God, hallelujah, oh God, we bless your name, we honor you and give you all of the praise. God, you are deserving of it. God, you are deserving of it. Hallelujah, hallelujah, glory, glory, glory to your name, lord, hallelujah, oh God, we pray that you let your glory fill this time of prayer. God, in the name of Jesus, oh God, let your presence be felt here. In the name of Jesus, holy Spirit, have your way, have your way, have your way in the name of Jesus, oh God. I thank you, lord, for your people this morning. Oh God, we thank you for making the wake-up list this morning. Oh God, we thank you, hallelujah, because you have breathed the breath of life in us and we thank you, hallelujah. We thank you, god, for your steadfast love. We thank you for being long-suffering with us. We thank you, god, for your daily loving kindness. Oh God, you are so loving, oh God, you are so attentive. And we bless your name, lord, and we give you glory today, oh, father, we're praying, lord, we're praying that you'll help us, lord, help us to reciprocate the love that you give us, father, help us to love you more deeply.

Closing Remarks and Announcements
Speaker 1In the name of Jesus, oh God, we ask that you'll help us, god, even in the area of our faith, god, being able to love you. God, though we haven't seen you, god, we've seen your attributes, god, we've seen the result of your love toward us. But, god, we've never seen you. God, we've never touched you. Lord, but, god, we pray that you'll help us in the area of our faith, lord, hallelujah, to love you, god, though our eyes have not seen you, though our hands have not felt you. God, we're asking that you'll help us, god, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, remove doubt. In the name of Jesus, oh God, remove doubt, lord, oh God. We're asking, lord, that you'll help us, god, that you'll help us, father. Oh God, remove doubt, lord, oh God. We're asking, lord, that you'll help us, god, that you'll help us, father, oh God, to walk in true relationship with you. In the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray for those, oh God, those that are newly saved, oh God, those that are newly filled. Father, oh Lord, I pray, lord hallelujah, that you'll keep them. In the name of Jesus, I pray that you'll keep them, lord, oh God, give it to not just be a one time incident, god, oh God, give it to not just be Lord, something that they do for a day, lord, because it seems right. But, god, I pray. I pray that you'll give them to be committed, committed to you, committed to growing in you, committed to loving you. God, in the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray that you'll focus them, lord, in the name of Jesus, oh God, the world is loud, oh God, the world has many distractions, oh God, but give them to be able, oh God, to focus on you. Lord, in the name of Jesus, I pray, lord, when they open the word of God, that they begin to be able to digest it. Father, that they begin to be able to digest it. Father, in the name of Jesus, holy Spirit, I pray, I pray that you'll give them revelation in the word. In the name of Jesus, oh God, attach them to ministries that care about the state of their soul. Oh God, I pray that you'll attach them to ministries of integrity. In the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray, I pray that you'll send them somewhere, oh God, oh Lord, where they're going to be able, lord, to grow in grace. In the name of Jesus, oh God, I thank you. Oh God, we thank you because you're yet saving day by day. Oh God, we thank you that you are yet delivering day by day. Your healing power has not become where it is just back in the Bible days, but, god, you continue to heal every day. And, god, we thank you for how miraculous you are. We thank you, god, for what you're doing to show your presence, oh God, here in the earth. Oh God, I pray. I pray for the seasoned saints, I pray for those that have been in the way for a while. Oh God, I pray. I pray that you'll stir them up, god, in the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray, lord, oh God, that you'll give them the same fervor that they had when they first believed. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray where their seeking you has become dry. Oh God, that you'll rekindle the fire. In the name of Jesus, oh God, give their lamp to burn brightly. In the name of Jesus, oh God, I thank you. I thank you, god, for touching them. I thank you, god, I thank you. I thank you, god, for touching them. I thank you, god, for refilling them. In the name of Jesus, holy Spirit, we thank you for a refill today. Oh, we don't just want to be saved, but we want to walk in overflow. We want to walk in an abundance of your spirit, in an abundance of your grace. Oh God, we pray for an outpour this morning, oh God, an outpour on the seasoned saints as well as the new saint. God, oh God, I pray in the name of Jesus, oh God, that you'll move us forward. Oh God, move the seasoned saint forward in their relationship with you. Oh God, even like the newly saved. Oh God, there's yet the temptations of the world, lord, for the seasoned saint, oh God, to contend with. I pray in the name of Jesus, oh God, that you'll give them to be able, oh God, to hone in and focus on their spiritual relationship with you. In the name of Jesus, oh God, I thank you. I thank you that, though the enemy tries to distract us, tries to throw us off, tries to trap us or tries to destroy us, oh God that you have come and you have sent your son. Oh God, jesus prayed for us that our faith fail not. Oh, he prayed for us that the enemy not be able to sift us as wheat. Oh God, we pray this morning, hallelujah, and we ask, lord, we ask for the strength, oh God, to continue moving forward in the faith. Oh God, we ask for the strength, lord, to hold up the bloodstained banner In the name of Jesus. Oh God, even despite the hostility of the world against the truth of the gospel, lord, we ask, father, that you'll to be where we are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Oh God, help us, lord, help us, god, to not hide the truth of God under a bushel, under a bush, under a bush. Oh God, undercover, god. Give us, lord, hallelujah, to share the love of Christ openly. In the name of Jesus, oh God, we thank you, lord. You said that if we were ashamed of you, god, that you would be ashamed of us on the day of judgment. Oh God, take that shame out of us, god. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, help us to delight, lord, to delight in the fact that we are in this world, but not of this world. Help us to begin to delight in being a peculiar people, as the word of God has described. Oh God, we thank you because you have made us different. We thank you because you have made us to stand out, oh God. You've made us, oh God, to stand out that the world may say what is different about him, what is different about her? What do they have that I don't have? Oh God, you've given us to be a peculiar people. Oh God, that your name might be glorified. Give us not, lord, to do everything we can just to fit in, lord, but, god, give us, lord, to be proud of the legacy of living a Christlike existence in the name of Jesus, oh God. Give us to be proud, oh God, and to walk in, knowing that the things that we used to do we don't do anymore. The places we used to go, we don't go anymore. The places we used to go, we don't go anymore. Oh God, give us to accept and embrace the change, lord, that you have allowed to come over us. Lord, in the name of Jesus, oh God, give us to not continue to long, oh God, for the days that we were living sinfully. To long for that acceptance. Oh God, give us, lord, to walk in the newness of Christ, to walk out this new thing, lord, to walk out this new way. God, in the name of Jesus, I pray, lord, that you'll send support. Lord, in the name of Jesus, oh God, we pray that you'll give us godly friends. We pray that you'll give usly friends. We pray that you'll give us, oh God, godly companionship. In the name of Jesus, we thank you, god, for the remnant that still exists. God, oh, we thank you that we are not the only ones that have not bowed to the world. But, god, you have a remnant of people, you have a great cloud of witnesses, lord, oh God, that are yet living for you. Oh Lord, connect us with other believers, connect us with others, lord, that will give us, lord, encouragement to continue walking in our spiritual journey. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, oh God, unify the people of God. In the name of Jesus, oh Lord, I pray. I pray, god, that you'll touch God around the world. Oh God, every church called by your name, oh God, as the doors open this weekend, as the doors open on Sunday, I pray, god, that you'll fill your church. Lord, in the name of Jesus, oh God, add to the numbers Such it should be saved. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray that the ones that we've been praying for, those that may have never stepped foot in the church, oh God, those that may have backslidden against the way, father, oh God, I pray, I pray, lord, that you'll tug on them, god. Tug on their hearts, pull on their hearts, lord. Give them to remember the love that they once had for you. Give them to remember, oh God, the invitation to come into the house of prayer. Oh God, I pray, I pray, lord, that you'll give them to willingly, lord, oh God, begin to move towards a relationship with you. In the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray. I pray that every spirit, lord, that has attacked hallelujah, the body of Christ, attacked the church. God, we bind in the name of Jesus. Oh, every congregation, every congregation called by your name be covered under the blood of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, we cancel the assignment of the enemy that comes against the church. Oh, we cancel the assignment, oh Lord, when one of us falls. Oh God, when one of us has a bad report, it affects all of us. Oh God, the image of the church is not what it used plainly. Oh God, the churches that are called by your name, oh God, let them be marked by your presence. Let them be marked by your presence, god, in the name of Jesus, oh God, your miracle signs and wonders exist in the churches that are called by your name. In the name of Jesus, lord, prove your church to the world. Do it for your glory, god, in the name of Jesus, oh God, do it, god, because the world needs it. In the name of Jesus, oh, there are many that don't believe. There are many that don't think, oh Lord, that your power exists. Oh God, I pray, lord, that you'll show yourself strong, tangibly, god, in the name of Jesus, even as you did in your ministry, oh God as Jesus healed, delivered and set free. Oh God, it showed the power of God. It showed the agreement of the kingdom of God. Oh God, let your churches that are called by your name come into the agreement of the kingdom of God. Oh God, the kingdom of God that promotes the healing of the physical body. Oh God, the kingdom of God that promotes deliverance to the sin-sick soul. In the name of Jesus, pour out your spirit. Pour out your spirit, god. In the name of Jesus. I pray, lord, that you'll become hallelujah. Oh Lord, the major. Pull, god, the pull into the church. Lord, oh God. Not the smoke and the lights, not the music God, the pull into the church, lord, oh God, not the smoke and the lights, not the music, god, but God, give people to come in because they want more of you. Give them to come in God because they see you moving. Give them to come in God because they need something, oh God, that the world is incapable of giving them. Oh God, I pray, lord, I pray that you'll prepare the house of God, that you'll prepare, oh God, the churches, the leaders, god, for an outpouring as never before. Oh God, give us to sit in humbleness, god, as you move, lord, oh God. We don't want to become exhausted within ourselves, but, god, give us the humility that we need to carry the anointing that is needed for today, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, it's not by our power, it's not by our might, but it is by your spirit. It's by your spirit, god, that the things, hallelujah, that are happening within the church, that the power of God is revealed. Oh God, it is not unto us, god, but it is because of you, lord, oh Holy Spirit, have your way. Oh Lord, we won't steal your glory. Oh God, we won't become lifted up. Oh God, we'll remember, oh Lord, hallelujah. We'll remember the Lord, our God. We'll remember where the healing comes from. We'll remember where the deliverance comes from. We'll remember where the power comes from, oh God, give our churches, lord, oh God, so, once again, have the Spirit of God. Be so strong that, when people walk in, they feel you, oh God, they're convicted, oh God, oh Lord. They realize, lord, that they've entered into holy ground. Lord, oh God, let that Spirit, lord, rest and rule in your church. God, in the name of Jesus, god, shift the atmosphere. In the name of Jesus, oh God, purge the church, oh God, of everything that is not like you. All competition and jealousy, all self-gain and self-promotion, oh God, any will or desire that is not of you. God, take it out of the church. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, while you're doing it, Lord, we thank you for giving us to be the church that you're calling for. God, in the name of Jesus, we want to be as the church, lord that is without spot or wrinkle. Lord that is ready, lord, ready for you to return, ready for you to say well done. Oh God, help us to get things in the right place, god that you may move. Oh God, in this day. In the name of Jesus, oh God, I thank you. I thank you, lord. I thank you for your great love. Thank you for your great love. We love you, lord. We love you, lord. We love you, lord. We love you. Lord. Give us to love you more. Give us to love you more than self. Give us to love you more than selfish gain. Give us to love you more, god. Give us to love you more than what your hand can do for us. Give us to love you more. Give us to love you because you loved us first, god. Give us to love you, god, because you loved us at our worst place, oh God, give us to love you. Oh God, because you saw everything about us. You had all the bad information about us, oh God. You saw everything we did wrong and you loved us. So we thank you, god, for John 3, 16, for God so loved the world that he gave his only son, ayah the Boshdaya, that he that who believeth in him shall be saved. God, we thank you. We thank you, god. We thank you for your great love to send your best to us, to give us your best, to give us a piece of your heart, god, we thank you. God, help us to love you more and help our love to be an action word. Help our love for you to be in the way that we walk, in the way that we talk, in the things that we do. God, help the way that we love you, oh God, to begin to show in our character. In Jesus' name, oh God, we ask that you'll do this, oh God, as we're preparing to leave, oh God, as we're preparing, oh God, to go forward. God, I pray, I pray that you'll cover and protect your people. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, keep the cars on the road, oh God, keep those that mean us no good away. God, in the name of Jesus, we cancel the assignment of the enemy. In the name of Jesus, we cover our homes, we cover our loved ones with the blood of Jesus. The blood, oh God, that never has lost its power, the undiluted blood. Cover and protect your people In the name of Jesus. Guard our hearts, guard our minds In the name of Jesus and give us to walk our minds in the name of Jesus and give us to walk directed by you. Oh, in Jesus's name, we pray. Thank God and amen, amen. We thank the Lord for hallelujah bringing us down through the week. We thank the Lord, hallelujah, and our devotional thought today was loving Christ more deeply, Amen. A brief description of our devotional is though we haven't seen him, we love him. Though we don't see him, now we believe and we rejoice with unexpressible joy. Let your love for Christ grow deeper, even in the unseen. Amen, hallelujah. Seeing is not always believing, amen, not always believing Hallelujah. That's why we have faith. That's why we have faith. We thank the Lord for helping us to move forward, to progress, to grow in grace and to grow in love for him. Amen, amen. I thank the Lord for just how he led us in prayer this morning. I thank the Lord for what he's getting ready to do in the body of Christ, hallelujah. And we're just standing on holy ground. We're standing hallelujah in the fact that God will send to us what is needed for this dispensation and this time, and we're just praying that God will allow our hearts to be ready to receive the more of him. Amen. We need more of God. We need more of God not just in this country, but all over the world. Amen. So, that being said, to read the entirety of the devotional, you can access it. You can get a copy of it on our Facebook page and on our Instagram page at HealingWordCOGIC. Amen. We're moving into the weekend. We do not have prayer on Saturday, nor on Sunday, but we come back. We pray live at 6 am Eastern Standard Time on Mondays. Monday through Friday. We're here. The playback is within our podcast healing prayer. Amen. And so we honor the Lord. We honor Pastor Mark Bayman Jr, pastor of Healing Word Ministries and the Healing Word family. Amen. Thanking God for each of you that have taken the time out to pray and to intercede with me today, even down through the week. I thank you for being here, because one of us chases a thousand, two of us chases 10,000. We're able to do more. We're stronger in numbers, and so I thank God for you being here interceding. Amen. God bless you all. Have a wonderful day, have a wonderful weekend. May heaven smile upon you.
