Waiting is perhaps one of the hardest spiritual disciplines we face—and yet it might be where God does His most profound work in our lives. Good morning and welcome to Morning Prayer. Today is September 17th, 2025. Today we're going to pray about waiting on the Lord being patient. Our scripture today is Psalm 27 and 14.

Prayer of Praise and Thanksgiving

Speaker 1We're grateful, god, we appreciate all that you have done for us, lord, we appreciate this new day. We appreciate, god, hallelujah, how you've kept us from dangers that we've seen and the unseen dangers. Lord, we thank you, hallelujah. Lord, we realize that we would have never made it this far without you and we thank you, god. We thank you, god, we exalt your name. We exalt your name, hallelujah. We exalt your name, hallelujah. Strength to Wait on the Lord
Speaker 1Father, we're praying even now, lord, that you'll forgive us of every sin and every iniquity. In the name of Jesus, oh God, lord, we pray that today you'll give us to embrace a clean slate, god, in the name of Jesus, and to not sit in places of condemnation. Oh God, we thank you that, hallelujah, when we confess our sins, you are faithful to forgive us, god and God, we pray now that you'll cleanse us, cleanse us from the inside out, lord, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, wash us in your blood. In Jesus' name, oh God, we're thanking you now, lord, for being new creatures in you, for walking in the newness of life. God, we thank you right now, god, hallelujah, for not only washing us and forgiving us, but for strengthening us to move out of what we've been in, god. Strengthening us, lord, to move past the things that continue to hold us captive. Oh Lord, we thank you. We thank you that today is not yesterday. We thank you that today is not yesterday. Today is not yesterday. God, we thank you for the strength to overcome. In the name of Jesus, oh God, I pray even now, lord, I pray for those that have been in prayer, those that have been waiting on you, those, oh God, that have received even a word of prophecy that they're waiting to manifest. Oh God, I pray for them today, waiting to manifest. Oh God, I pray for them today, I pray. I pray that you will strengthen their hearts, lord, that you will strengthen their resolve. God, give them to be strong while they wait. Lord, oh God, give them to not waver in their faith. Lord, oh, oh.
Speaker 1Father, you said that a double-minded man is unstable in all of his ways. Lord, you also said in your word, lord hallelujah, that if we waver, god, oh Lord, hallelujah, you said that we ought to not expect anything from you. Lord, oh God, help us to be constant and consistent in our faith. God, in the name of Jesus, god, where we wavered yesterday, we thank you for strength today In the name of Jesus. Help us to accept what we cannot control and to give it to you, lord, and to leave it with you, father, and to leave it in your hands, continuing to believe, continuing to trust. In the name of Jesus, oh God, we thank you for giving us the strength and the courage to let you handle situations, oh God, even things that we know that we can get into ourselves and hallelujah, and straighten it out from what we think. Oh God, give us strength to wait on you. Oh Lord, especially when your spirit is tugging on us and telling us to be still. Oh God, especially when, hallelujah, we're finding it difficult to hold our peace. Oh God, give us the strength to wait on you.
Speaker 1In the name of Jesus, I pray for that person this morning, oh hallelujah, that wants to retaliate, that wants to tell someone hallelujah about themselves that wants to hallelujah, tell someone off. I pray for them, god, in the name of Jesus. I pray, lord, that you'll give them to hold their peace. God, in the name of Jesus, and let you fight the battle. Let you fix it in the name of Jesus and let you fight the battle. Let you fix it In the name of Jesus.
Speaker 1Oh God, in our waiting, give us to not be weary. Oh God, give us to not be weary in that well-doing. Oh God, give us, lord, to remember that you will not let anything slide. God. Oh God, you have seen everything. Oh God, you are El Roy, the God that stands, sees. Oh God, you see everything. Oh God, you hear every private conversation. Oh God, nothing is hidden from your knowledge. Oh God, even the things that our enemies are saying and doing. Oh Lord, you hear it and you know it.
Speaker 1Hallelujah, you even know the state of their heart toward us, and, god, we thank you that, just like a good father. Oh Lord, not only do you protect us, god, but, lord, hallelujah, you go in, lord, and you, lord, repay. Lord, you repay the evil that has been done towards us. Oh God, you said vengeance is mine. I shall repay saith the Lord. Oh God, we thank you.
Self-Control and Kingdom Mindset
Speaker 1Oh God, we thank you that you have not forgotten, you have not forgotten Lord, have not forgotten, you have not forgotten Lord. But Lord, you see and you know, and you even understand, oh Lord, the turmoil that has been caused in our lives. God, you see it. Oh God, I thank you today. Give us the faith to trust you, give us the faith to allow you the space to do what you want to do in the situation. Oh God, you can fix it far better than we can. Oh God, you can fix it far better than we can. Oh God, oh Lord, we thank you and we say fix it Jesus, oh God, fix it, fix it, god, fix it, god, just like you said you would in your word. Oh God, fix it In the name of Jesus, oh God, I thank you for fixing our relationships.

Speaker 1Oh God, some of us may have gone ahead of you and tried to fix it and tried to do what only you can do. Oh God, I pray that you'll forgive us for stepping out of line. Oh God, I pray that not only will you forgive us, oh God, but, lord, that you'll take control of the situation. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, oh God, we thank you. We thank you, lord, that even in our mess-ups, that you are still good. Oh God, even in our mess-ups, you are still faithful. Oh God, we thank you. We thank you for strengthening us, lord, to have self-control today. In the name of Jesus.
Speaker 1Oh God, a fruit of the Spirit is not just the gift of tongues, but a fruit of the Spirit is also self-control. Oh Lord, we thank you for giving us self-control with the things that we feel we can't help, the things that we feel that we have no control over. Oh God, we thank you for putting that area under the blood of Jesus. Oh God, hallelujah, if it be our mouths that we can't control, we can't help but comment. We can't help but tell someone off. Oh God, we thank you for self-control and holding our tongue. Oh God, we thank you for self-control.
Speaker 1Oh God, even in doing the things that you have told us to do, oh Lord, when our bodies don't want to cooperate, oh God, when our minds don't want to cooperate, lord, we thank you for self-control In the name of Jesus. Oh God, self-control, lord. Oh God, I pray for it. Oh God, I pray for your people, that you'll give us, lord, hallelujah, not to act unseemly, but God to give us self-control. In the name of Jesus, holy Spirit, help us. Holy Spirit, help us. Holy Spirit, help us In the name of Jesus, oh God, I thank you, lord, for giving us a kingdom mindset.
Speaker 1I thank you, lord, for giving us to not just look at ourselves and our own God, but, lord, to look at the implications of our actions on the kingdom of God. Oh Lord, we represent you in a time where so many people have fallen. Oh God, we represent you in a time where the reputation of the church is being tainted, is being slandered, is being laughed at. Oh God, we represent you in a time where good example is needed. Oh God, give us the strength. Oh God, give us the strength. Oh God, give us the strength. Oh God, give us the strength, not just in Sunday services, not just during Bible study, but, god, give us strength down through the day, down through the week. In the moment, oh God, in the moment of temptation, through the weak, in the moment, oh God, in the moment of temptation, oh God, give us strength, lord, to have victory over it. Lord, in the name of Jesus, god, I'm thanking you even now, Lord. Oh God.
Speaker 1You said in Habakkuk, lord, that though the vision tarry, wait for it. Oh God, regardless of how long it's been, oh God, if you said it, it shall be. Oh God, if you said it, then it is so. We declare that the word of God that has been spoken over our lives, that it is fruitful, that it is coming to pass, that it is so in the spirit realm, that it is manifesting in the natural realm. We declare it in the name of Jesus, oh, we declare it, oh, hallelujah, because of an immutable thing that God is not capable of lying. Oh, he's not capable of lying.
Speaker 1And so, god, we thank you for your word that has been spoken over our lives. Oh God, we thank you even for the prayers that we have sent up. Oh God, we thank you for having heard our prayers, having heard our requests, having listened to us, god, having sent the help that we need, oh God, we thank you. Oh God, we thank you, we thank you, god, that not one request hit the floor, oh God, but that it ascended to an open heaven.
Speaker 1Oh God, you hear us. Oh God, you hear us. Not only do you hear us, god, you're attentive to us. You don't tune us out, god, but you hear us, oh God, we thank we, thank you, we thank you, god, for the manifestation In the name of Jesus. Oh God, we're thanking you, lord.
Declarations of Faith and Favor
Speaker 1Even while we wait, even while we wait, we praise your name. Even while we wait, we say thank you, oh God. Even while we wait, god, oh God, even while we wait, god, oh Lord, we lift up our expectation in the name of Jesus. Oh, we speak the word of God that eyes have not seen and ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, the things that God has prepared for us. Oh God, it's mind-blowing what you have prepared for us. Oh God, it's mind-blowing what you have prepared for us. Oh God, it's mind-blowing what you're doing for us.

Oh God, I'm thanking you even now, lord Hallelujah, that you're able to do exceed, oh God, our minds can't conceptualize how you're going to do it and how big it is. Oh God, we thank you. We thank you, god, for the great things you're doing for your people, for the great things that are in store for your people. Oh God, we thank you even for the greatness that is coming from your people. Oh God, we thank you even for the greatness that is coming from your people.

I'm thanking you now, god, for a people that understands the times and the seasons of God. I thank you now, god, for every preacher, for every evangelist. God, for every missionary, for every apostle. Oh God, I thank you now, god, oh Lord, for every individual in every capacity, every visionary. God, I thank you. I thank you for the fruit that's coming from them, god, I thank you for the fruit that's coming from your people. I thank you for the fruit that's coming from them. God, I thank you for the fruit that's coming from your people. I thank you for every author. I thank you, god. I thank you, lord, for every one of them.
Speaker 1God, in the name of Jesus, oh Lord, I thank you, oh God, that, even as we're waiting on you, you're enlarging our territory. You're enlarging our borders, god. Speaker 1I declare this morning, hallelujah, that you are not finished with us yet. You're not done. You're not done with us. I thank you that you're not what we want to be, but we're not what we used to be, and you are not done with us, god, we thank you. We thank you that, if we woke up on September 17, 2025, that there is yet purpose for us. If we're drawing breath, there is yet purpose for us. If the blood is still running warm in our bodies. There is purpose for us, oh God. We thank you, lord, for giving us to walk in purpose. Oh God, thank you, lord. Thank you, lord, for giving us to wait if we don't understand the assignment. God, oh Lord, we thank you. We thank you that you're faithful, lord. You're faithful God, oh Lord, I pray even for that one Lord that may have missed out, oh God, on what you said.
Speaker 1God, I thank you even now, Lord, for confirming and reminding them, oh Lord, of what it is that you have them to do, for laying it on their heart afresh. God, in the name of Jesus. Oh, some worry about having missed a season, some worry, some worry about it. God, but, lord, I thank you. I pray now, god, that you'll lay it on their hearts afresh. God, in the name of Jesus, that you'll put them on a plain path, god, oh Lord, that they're able to follow you and do what it is that you're telling them to do in this season.

I thank you, god, hallelujah, that the blessings of the Lord shall overtake them. I thank you, lord, hallelujah. Hallelujah for favor, favor that extends the credit store Favor, oh God, favor beyond what their bank account says, oh God, favor that causes men and women to bless them, oh God, I thank you. I thank you, god. I thank you, lord Hallelujah, for giving your people to be the lender and not the borrower.
Speaker 1We thank you for supernatural debt cancellation, oh God. We thank you, lord, for coming under agreement, lord, oh Lord, where we thought we had debt that would never come off. Oh God, thank you for agreements and favor that we're able to handle, oh God, we thank you, oh God, we thank you, lord, oh Lord, for taking the yoke and the burden off of your people. In the name of Jesus, lord, we thank you for jobs, lord. We thank you, lord, for jobs being created just for us. Lord, oh God, we thank you for jobs, lord. We thank you, lord, for jobs being created just for us. Lord, oh God. We thank you, lord, for those that are launching out into business, god. We thank you, lord, for them prospering. Lord, as they put you first.
Speaker 1Lord, in the name of Jesus, lord, I pray this morning and we're thanking you for healing, oh God. Healing of every ache, every pain, god, every headache, every migraine, lord, oh Lord, every issue of blood, god, oh Lord. Thank you for healing from diabetes, thank oh God. And low blood pressure, oh God. We thank you, oh God, that whatever we have, you're able to heal. We thank you for your healing. We thank you for your healing. We thank you that by your stripes we are healed.
Speaker 1Oh, we thank you for the blood of Jesus covering our bodies, covering our bodies, oh, covering our bodies, and making us well.
Speaker 1In the name of Jesus, oh God, even that arthritis, even those hips, god, even those knees, even those ankles, even those wrists and elbows, knees, even those ankles, even those wrists and elbows, god, we thank you. We thank you for healing, god, in the name of Jesus, oh God, we lay it all before you today. We lay it all before you today. Oh God, we thank you for this day, we thank you for this time. We thank you, lord, for this season. God, we're asking, lord, that you'll cancel the assignment of the enemy. In the name of Jesus, oh God, let there be no distortion, no distraction, oh God. We thank you, lord, for victory today. Lord, that the enemy will not cover ground on us, lord, but Lord, that he will flee in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you for protecting our children, protecting us, protecting our loved ones, covering them and hiding them under your blood. In Jesus' name we pray. Thank God and amen. Thank God, Hallelujah. Thank God, hallelujah.
Speaker 1We are declaring the word of the Lord in this time, the word of the Lord in this time. We're walking in everything that the Lord says that we are supposed to have or that he has given to us. Amen, we're walking in it. And so, in that, yes, we ask the Lord for some things, but the promises of God, we just speak them over our lives, we speak them into existence. We speak those things that be not as though they were Hallelujah. We are declaring things Hallelujah and we are looking for God to move in those areas, amen. So our theme today is waiting on God. Our devotional description reads waiting on God doesn't mean nothing's happening. It means something divine is happening behind the scenes. Psalm 27 and 14 remind us to be strong, take courage and trust his timing. Your weight isn't wasted. Amen. We thank the Lord for that excerpt from our devotional.
