Healing Prayer

Devil Tried It, We Got Dressed

Healing Word Ministries Season 6 Episode 21

Ever feel like you’re stepping into the day underdressed for what’s coming at you? We open the morning by centering on Ephesians 6:11 and then move through a grounded, heartfelt prayer that clothes your mind, heart, and steps with the full armor of God. No fluff, no clichés—just honest praise, repentance that cuts off condemnation, and a clear call to close the open doors the enemy exploits.

We slow down to name the battle lines and then get practical: how to guard your thoughts with the helmet of salvation, wield scripture as a living sword without twisting its meaning, and feed faith until it can extinguish the fiery darts of fear, accusation, and anxiety. You’ll hear how righteousness protects your core behavior, how the gospel of peace steadies your pace amid conflict, and why a stayed focus on Jesus empowers you to walk on the very waters that once felt impossible. Along the way we pray for protection over homes and travel, for provision in uncertain times, and for healing—body, mind, and spirit—trusting God as both Creator and Keeper.

We also ask God to stir dormant gifts, confirm callings, and straighten today’s path so you can move with holy boldness and quiet confidence. If headlines and noise have been eroding your peace, this is a reset: awareness without paranoia, courage without bravado, and hope rooted in God’s word. SPEAKER_00:

Good morning and welcome to morning prayer. Today is October 16th, 2025. Our scripture this morning is Ephesians 6 and 11. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. And we are going into prayer this morning. Father God, we give you glory and honor. Hallelujah. Lord, you're worthy, O God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Have your way. Have your way. Have your way. Have your way. Have your way, Father. Well, we come into your presence, thanking you, O God. You have been better to us than we have been to ourselves. God, we thank you. That even when we don't deserve it, O God, you yet continue to bless us. You yet continue to be God and Lord of our lives. Father, I pray this morning that you'll help us, Father. Help us, God, to have a mind more like yours. Help us to have a heart more like yours. In the name of Jesus. I pray, Father, that you'll give us to turn from every way that's not pleasing to you. Oh God, I ask this morning that you'll forgive us of every sin. God, forgive us of every reproach, God, in the name of Jesus. Lord, wash us in your blood today. We thank you, God, for your forgiveness. Oh God, we thank you for freedom from condemnation. Oh God, we thank you, Lord, that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. We thank you, God, that even in our sins, O God, even after we have repented, Father, that you throw our sins into the sea of forgetfulness and you remember them no more. Oh God, I thank you, Lord, for how merciful you are. Thank you for how merciful and faithful you are. Oh God, we're asking this morning that you'll give us, oh God, to embrace the mind of Christ, O God. We ask this morning that you'll give us, Lord, to, hallelujah, be able to resist the enemy, God, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I ask, Lord, hallelujah, that you'll strengthen us, that you'll strengthen us for whatever the challenges are for the day. Oh God, you know exactly what this day contains. And Father, we ask that you'll give us the strength, oh God, to stand firm. Oh God, give us the strength, God. You'll ask the strength, Father, to push, oh God, to push forward, God, to press forward, oh God, toward the mark of the high calling, oh God. Give us to press forward, oh God. Give us to press and to push, oh God. Oh God, I'm asking that you'll help us, oh God, to not give up when we are challenged. Oh God, but help us, Lord, to put our armor on, Father. Help us to put our armor on, God, and to be ready for the spiritual battle that is ahead of us. Oh God, we're asking, Lord, that you'll touch us today, oh God. That you'll touch us today, Father. Oh God, send your strength in the name of Jesus. Oh God, send your strength, Father. Because without your strength, oh God, we cannot make it. Oh God, we can't make it on our own strength. Oh God, we can't fight this battle on our own strength. Oh God, we'll become burned out and overwhelmed. But God, I thank you, Lord, that in your strength, oh God, hallelujah, we're able to do all things through Christ. Oh God, I thank you that in your strength, God, hallelujah, that you set us up to win, Father. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. Father, I ask this morning, Lord, that you'll help us, Lord, to see the areas of our weakness, the places, oh God, that we have our exposed to the enemy. Oh God, I pray, Lord, that every open door to the enemy that we have in our lives, I pray, God, that you'll give us to see those things, Father. I pray even now that you'll give us, oh God, to see hallelujah, the issues that we have and the things that we've left exposed to the enemy. Oh God, I pray even now, I pray, God, that you'll help us, oh God, to close every door, to close every door that we have allowed him into in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we don't want the enemy to have one foothold in our lives. But God, we're asking that you'll help us to see it, oh God. Oh God, to see those areas, oh God, that we need to tighten up, Father. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I'm asking, Lord, hallelujah, that you'll give us, oh God, hallelujah, how to put on the full armor of God. Oh God, we ask, Lord, that you'll help us. Help us to be strategic and to understand. Oh God, that we are in a battle. Hallelujah, whether we want to believe it or not. Hallelujah, that the enemy is waging war against us. He's waging war against us whether we want to believe it or not. Oh God, help us, God, to realize that we are walking on a battlefield. Oh God, give us to put on the armor of God. Hallelujah. So we are not exposed, oh God, to the weapons of the enemy. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. Oh God, for giving us the helmet of salvation. Oh God, help our minds, oh God, to be saved. Help our minds to be stayed on you. Oh God, help us, God, to have a mind. Hallelujah. Oh God, the mind that realizes that you are Lord of our lives. Oh God, help us, oh God, to have that mindset, Father, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, help us, Father, to begin to focus, oh God, to focus on your word, to focus on your ways. Oh God, to ask ourselves what Jesus would do in a situation that we would normally, oh God, go off the rails. Oh God, I'm asking that you'll help us, oh God, to become more mindful and more aware of your presence, to become more mindful, oh God, of how we decide to do things, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. We thank you, God, for giving us the sword of the Spirit, Lord. Oh God, we thank you for that sword. Oh God, that sword, Lord, that cuts, oh God. The word of God that cuts the enemy. The word of God, hallelujah, that backs the enemy down. Oh God, we thank you. Oh God, because even in the book of Matthew, when the enemy came against you and began to speak into you, hallelujah, began to try to tempt you. Oh God, you backed him down with the word of God. Oh Lord, you told him that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Oh Lord, you began, hallelujah, to use the word God against your adversary. Oh God, help us, Lord. Oh God, to use the sword of the Spirit against the enemy. Help us to use the Word of God. Oh Lord, help us to even be able to detect when the Word of God is being distorted by the enemy. Oh God, knowing that the enemy will try, Lord, to deceive us. He will try to twist the word. Oh God, but help us to realize and to know. Oh God, the heart of what it is that you said, God. Oh God, help us to know, oh God. Hallelujah. Oh Lord, how He has twisted or perverted the Word. Oh God, and give us, Lord, how to rebut that, how to refute that in the name of Jesus. Oh God, help us, God. Oh Lord, hallelujah, to become students of the Word of God. Oh God, give us to study to show ourselves approved, oh God. Oh God, that we may not be ashamed, oh God. Oh Lord, we thank you, God. Oh Lord, that you've given us the word, oh God. The word to guide us. Oh God, the word to fight our adversary. God, you've given that to us. Oh God, help us to cleave to it, Lord. Oh God, help us, oh God, to study it, Lord, as never before. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you, Lord, for giving us the shield of faith, God. Oh God, we thank you. Oh God, that our faith blocks the dart of the enemy. That our faith blocks the arrow of the enemy. Oh God, we thank you, Lord. Oh God, for increasing our faith today. Oh God, even as we are looking to study the word more, God. Oh God, we're knowing, oh God, that the word will feed our faith, God. Oh God, the word, hallelujah, will give us hope, Father. Oh God, we ask this morning, Lord, hallelujah, to give us that shield, oh God, that shield against the enemy. Oh God, that shield, oh God. Hallelujah. That will extinguish every fiery dart of the enemy. Oh God, we thank you for the breathplate of righteousness, God. Oh God, help us, Lord. Help us, Lord. Oh God, to walk righteously, Lord. Oh God, help us, God. Oh Lord, to walk the way that Jesus walked. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, we don't want our chest to be exposed in the battle. But God, we thank you for that breastplate of righteousness. Oh God, we thank you, Lord. Hallelujah. Oh God, for giving our feet, oh God, to be shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Oh God, we thank you, Lord. Hallelujah, Lord, for giving us, Lord, to put on your full armor, Lord. Oh God, your full armor, God, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I'm asking, I'm asking, Lord, that you'll empower us, God, that you'll give us holy boldness, God. Oh Lord, we thank you, Lord, that in spite of the spiritual battle that we are in, God, that you are yet the greatest power, Lord. We thank you, Lord, that just being with you, oh God, causes us to be on the winning side. Oh God, we thank you. Oh God, that we triumph and we win because of your blood. Because of who you are, God. Oh, because of your power. Oh God, we're asking, Father, that you lift us up, oh God. That you lift us up, oh God. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, where we've become tired, where we've become complacent. Oh God, if we have any depression, oh God, lift us up today. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray. I pray that you'll keep the minds of your people. Oh God, in spite of what's happening with the economy. Oh God, in spite of what's happening, oh God, on Capitol Hill. Oh God, in spite of what's happening in the White House, Lord, keep your people's minds, God. Oh God, keep us stay on you. Keep us stayed on you. Keep us stayed on you, Father. Oh God, help our eyes. Oh God, to stay fixed on you. Help our eyes to stay fixed on Calvary in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you, Lord, that when we keep our eyes on you, oh God, that we can walk on water, God. Oh God, even as Peter, Lord, kept his eyes on you when he walked out of the boat, God, he stepped out on water and he walked to you. Oh God, on water, as long as his eyes were stayed on you. Oh God, I thank you. I thank you, Lord, that when we keep our eyes stayed upon you, God, oh God, that we're able to, hallelujah, walk in miracles, God. Oh God, if we keep our minds and our eyes stayed on you, Father. Oh God, we can do anything. Oh God, I'm asking, Lord, that you'll help us, Lord, to drown out every distraction. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, help us, God. Oh Lord, to confront hopelessness with the word of God. In the name of Jesus, I thank you, God, that you will provide for us. I thank you, God, that you will take care of us. I thank you, God, that we can lean on you. Oh God, I thank you that you'll never let us fall, God. Oh God, I thank you, Lord, that you'll never let us fail. Oh God, even times where we think we're failing. Oh God, we thank you, Lord. Oh Lord, that with the enemy bent for evil, you turn it around for our good. Oh God, I thank you today, Lord. I thank you today. Oh God, we're asking, Lord. Oh God, that you'll cover us under your blood and protect us. Oh God, protect us from danger seen and unseen. Oh God, protect us from the adversary. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, cover our homes, God. Cover our loved ones, Lord. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, cover our transportation, God. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you for blessing our going out and our coming in today. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you. Oh God, for stealing the hand of the enemy. Oh God, for destroying every trap of the enemy. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you, Jesus. We thank you, Lord. Oh God, for being, hallelujah, the Lord of our lives. Oh God, we thank you, Lord, that you take care of us and supply all of our needs. Oh God, we thank you. We thank you for healing in the bodies of your people. Oh God, even under the sound of my voice, God. Oh God, release your healing virtues, God. Oh God, heal every ailment, every ache, every pain. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, your blood prevail over sickness, God. Your blood prevail over disease. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, even though doctors may not have a name for whatever it is, God. Oh God, if we can have it, you can heal it. God, we thank you. Oh God, for healing from every condition, Father. Those that we have a name for and those that have no name. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. You're the creator and the maker of the body. Oh God, I thank you that in the fact that you made the body, that you're able to take care of the body as no one else. Oh God, I pray that you'll strengthen us, God. Oh God, strengthen us, Father. Strengthen these bodies. Strengthen these bodies, Lord. Oh God, we have work to do. Strengthen these bodies. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray. I pray, Lord, that our paths would be straight today. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, make our paths to be straight today. In the name of Jesus. Give us to walk directly in your will today. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, help us to not step outside of your will. But God, give us to walk in your will. Give us to partner with you today. In the name of Jesus. We thank you for spiritual discernment. We thank you for giving us to hear in the spirit. Oh God, giving us sight in the spirit, God. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you. Oh God, for enriching us, oh God, even in our spiritual giftings, Lord. Oh God, I pray that you'll stir up the gift that is within us. Oh God, if we're sitting on our gifts, oh God, if our gifts are laying dormant. Oh God, I pray that you'll stir up these gifts, oh God, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we want, hallelujah, to serve you, God. Oh God, to serve you, Lord, even in every gifting and every talent that you've given us. Oh God, we want to produce, oh Lord. God help us, Lord. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you, Lord, because little becomes much in your hands. Oh God, you are the same. You're the same God that took, Lord, a little boy's lunch and fed a multitude with it. Oh God, you're the same God that caused Moses, oh God, to look again at his staff and to see that even with the staff in his hand, you were able, oh God, to use even that, oh God, to use even that insignificant thing, Lord. Oh God, oh God, to work a miracle. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. I thank you, Father, for what you've put in us, God. Oh God, give what you've put into us, God, to grow and to come out of us, God. Oh God, to grow, oh God, and to begin to bless others, Father. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, give us to not hide our gifts. Give us to not think our gifts to be insignificant. Oh God, if we don't know how we are gifted, Lord, show it to us, Father. In the name of Jesus, confirm our giftings. Confirm our callings, oh God. In the name of Jesus. God, we thank you. We thank you, God, because even in our gifting there is purpose. Oh God, even in our gifting, Lord, oh God, our gifts make room for us. Oh God, there's another place, oh God. There's another place, God, in you, oh God, that you're looking to give us access to, even utilizing our gifts. Oh God, we thank you and we praise you this morning. We call you our peace. We call you our joy. Oh God, I'm asking God, hallelujah, that you will continue to be with us throughout the day in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we ask that you'll give us to not walk into this battlefield. Oh God, unclothed. But God, we ask that you'll help us to walk in suited up. Suited up in your armor. Oh God, that the enemy may not have any area in our life that is exposed to Him. God, we ask all of these things. In Jesus' mighty name. Thank God and Amen. Amen. We thank the Lord for this time of prayer. Our devotional today is called Suit Up. Suit Up. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. Ephesians 6 11. The enemy is strategic, but God has equipped us with divine armor to withstand every attack. Each peace, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the word of God is designed to protect and empower us in spiritual battles. We can't afford to walk into a war zone spiritually naked. Every day we must intentionally put on the armor, not in fear, but in faith, knowing we are clothed in divine power to stand firm. Amen. We are clothed in divine power. We're clothed in the power of God to stand firm. Thus, I have actually read you our devotional today. I went ahead and read it. It wasn't that lengthy, but if you want to have a physical copy of it, you could go to our Facebook and our Instagram page and you could view it yourself at Healing Word C-O-G-I-C. Amen. I thank God for you. I thank God for your prayers. I thank God for uh your your input. Your input, your praying with me. Amen. I thank the Lord for Pastor Mark Bayman Jr. and the Healing Word family. And I I said you'll keep us in your prayers as we continue to try to be everything that God is calling us to be. Amen. All right, well thank God for all of you, each one of you, those that are live here in the prayer room, and those that will uh listen on the podcast later. God bless you. We will return tomorrow if the Lord is willing. Have a beautiful day.
