A single verse can reframe a whole day. We open with Matthew 4:10—“Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only”—and let that command guide a full arc of praise, confession, intercession, and practical devotion. The morning moves from gratitude for ordinary gifts to a bold request for a clean heart and a steady mind, then widens to cover our youth, our elders, and the leaders shaping church and community life. The aim is simple and serious: align our hearts with God and let His Word lead every decision.

We press into the needs of the next generation, asking God to guard them from violence, addiction, and despair while teaching us to mentor with love instead of judgment. Then we honor the wisdom of older saints and call for mutual respect that bridges the gap—mentorship that flows in both directions, ministries that see the value of every age, and a church culture where memory and momentum move together. From there, we pray for faith leaders to stand on truth without compromise and for civic leaders to act with integrity, transparency, and compassion. We ask God to expose corruption, break strongholds that distort choices, and give decision-makers a genuine heart for people.

If temptation and fear have been loud, the devotional offers a clear strategy: fight with the Word. Jesus didn’t argue; He quoted Scripture—sharp, decisive, and powerful. We challenge ourselves to memorize, speak, and believe God’s promises, because authority begins where God has spoken. As we look toward the weekend, we ask for anointing in our services, divine appointments with people searching for a church home, and courage to invite them into a community of faith. Join us, be strengthened in prayer, and carry “It is written” into every battle you face. If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with a friend, and leave a review to help others find the prayer they need today.

Welcome And Scripture Focus

SPEAKER_00

Good morning. Welcome to Morning Prayer. Today is October 24, 2025. It's an honor and it's a privilege to be here with you today. Our scripture for today is Matthew the fourth chapter, the tenth verse. It reads, Jesus said to him, Away from me, Satan, for it is written, Worship the Lord your God and serve him only. Amen. And we're going to go for the Lord in prayer. Oh Father, we thank you, Lord. You are the air that we breathe. We thank you, God. You are good, Lord. You are everything that we need, God. We thank you. We thank you, Lord, for your heart towards us. We thank you, God. We thank you, Lord. We thank you for how excellent you are in all of your ways. We take a minute to express how good you are. Lord, if we had 10,000 tongues, we would be unable, Lord, to justify, to justly say how good you are. Oh God, because you're better than that, God. You're better, you're greater than that. And Father, we magnify your name. Father, we give your name all of the praise this morning. Lord, we give your name all of the credit this morning. Thank you for waking us up. Oh God, thank you for our right minds. Thank you for food on our tables, clothes on our back, God. Oh God, thank you for our mind to seek you. Oh God, we thank you. We thank you, Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We praise your name. Hallelujah. We lift you up, God. Thank you for bringing us down through the week. Thank you for being good, for preserving us, God. Oh Lord, thank you. Hallelujah. Thank you, God, for shielding us from our adversary. Thank you for keeping us, God, against the attacks of the enemy. God, we thank you. God, we thank you. God, we thank you. Hallelujah. We thank you today. Hallelujah. Have your way, God, as we're praying to this morning, Lord. Have your way. Oh God, I pray that you'll touch your people this morning. Lord, I pray that they will be edified during this time of prayer. I pray, God, that you'll speak to our hearts and speak to our minds in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray that our getting up would not be in vain. But God, that you'll have your way. That you'll have your way, God, that you'll bless your people for their sacrifice. That you'll bless your people for their diligence in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray that you will wash us in your blood, God, and create in us a clean heart, Father. Renew a right spirit within us, God, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we don't want, hallelujah, to be doing the wrong thing. We don't want anything to keep us or separate us from you. God, we don't want to be walking through this journey and be in error, God. God, we don't want to miss heaven off of the small things. So, God, we pray even now, Father, that you'll forgive us of our sins, of our iniquities. God, if there is a habit or anything in us that is not like you, oh God, something that we continue to reach for, something that we continue to do. God, I pray that you will make it plain to us, that you'll open up our eyes to see it in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we don't want anything standing between us. God, we don't want anything, hallelujah, to be in the way of us following you, in the way of us doing what it is that you have planned for our lives. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. I thank you, God, for how you are mighty, oh God, how you're mighty to save, how you're mighty to keep us, oh God. Oh God, I thank you for your keeping power today. I pray that you'll keep your people. I pray that you'll keep them in perfect peace. I pray, oh God, that you'll allow our minds to be stayed on you, Father. Help us to trust you the more. Help us to turn to you the more, God, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you because you are tried and true. Oh God, we thank you, Lord, because of the great things that you have done. Oh God, the things that we've seen with our own eyes. Oh God, the things that we've read about in the Word. Oh God, we thank you, Lord, because you are more than enough. You are more than enough, God. You're more than enough, Father. Oh God, we thank you, Lord, that any area that we have in our lives or where we're struggling, God, you're more than enough for that area. Oh God, you're more than capable. You're more than able. Oh God, hallelujah, to work miracles, God, in deserted places. Oh God, to work miracles in places that have been uncharted in wilderness. Oh God, you are able to do it. And God, we call upon the name of Jesus. Oh, you are our rock. You're our fortress. You're our deliverer. In you we trust, God. Oh God, you're a way maker. You're a miracle worker. You're a promise keeper. Oh God, you're the wheel in the middle of the wheel. Oh God, we call on you, Father. Hallelujah. And in you, there is no failure. There is no defeat. Oh God, we call on you. Hallelujah. And God, we submit our lives to you. God, we submit our plans to you. God, we submit our ways to you. God, we serve you today. We humble ourselves as servants, God, and we serve you, God. We serve you, Father. Oh God, have your way in the name of Jesus. Oh Lord, I pray this morning. I pray, God, that you'll continue, God, to touch, Lord, to touch the generation coming up. I pray that you'll touch our youth. I pray, God, that you'll preserve them. I pray, God, that your hand of protection will be upon them, God. In the name of Jesus, we cancel the assignment of the enemy that comes against our young people. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, keep them off the streets, Lord. Oh God, keep them away from illicit drug use, God. Oh God, keep them pure, oh God. Sustain them, oh God. Sustain them, Father. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you, Lord. Oh God, for giving us how, Lord, to pass the baton to the next generation. Oh God, giving us how, God, to train up a child in the way that they should go, knowing that when they are old, they will not depart from it. Oh God, help us, Lord, to train the next generation. Help us to pour into the next generation. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, help us to not stand in judgment of their flaws. Oh God, but help us, God, to embrace them lovingly and to teach them and show them the way, God. To show them righteous living. Oh God, to show them holiness, oh God. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. I thank you because you are an intergenerational God. Oh God, you don't just care about the next generation coming up. Oh God, you don't care just about the current generation. Oh God, you care, Lord, about all of the generations. Oh God, I pray, Lord. Oh God, even for those, Lord. Oh God, those that are of the older generation. Oh God, those baby boomers, God. Oh God, those ones that were born, oh God, and have wisdom and have seasoned, oh God, throughout the years. Oh Father, I pray, Lord. I pray, God, that you'll show them their value in the ministry. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, and I pray, Lord. I pray, Father, that you'll help, oh God. Help those that are younger to respect those that are older. And help those that are older to respect those that are younger. Oh God, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray that you'll clear the air between the generations. I pray, God, oh Lord, that you'll allow, Lord, oh God, the generations in the church to begin to interact differently. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. I thank you, Lord, for mentorship taking place. I thank you, Lord, for wisdom being imparted. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. I thank you, God. Oh God, that you said in your word. Oh God, that the older would teach the young, oh God. Oh God, give the older to teach, oh God. Give the older to continue to reach, Father, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. I thank you, God. I pray, God, that you'll allow, Lord, ministry to still see, Lord, the value in the older saints, God. Oh God, give ministry to continue to see. Oh God, the value in the younger generation. Oh God, everyone in their rightful place. Works your divine will. Oh God, works your divine will in ministry in the kingdom of God. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. I pray for our leaders today. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray, Lord, for our faith leaders today. I pray, God, that you'll give them to stand, to stand on the word of truth. Oh God, to stand uncompromisingly in the name of Jesus. Oh God, knowing that they are men and women, that they are in this mortal body, Lord. Oh God, and that they sometimes might fall short or they sometimes might become sidetracked. Oh God, I pray for the faith leaders that are struggling to stay on track. I pray that you'll strengthen them, God, to lead your people. Allow them to not become a stumbling block. Oh God, to your people in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray, Lord, that you'll give them the desire, Lord. Oh God, to live right, God. Oh God, give them to remember that whatever is done in the dark, Lord, comes into the light, Father. Oh God, you expose us and you chastise those that you love. And so, God, I pray, I pray that they'll have a mindset where they know that there's nothing that they can do to escape the judgment of God, to escape the eyes of God. Oh, God, give them to walk, Lord, respecting, Lord, respecting how sovereign you are and how omnipresent you are in the name of Jesus. Oh God, give our faith leaders to make decisions, Lord, that are good for the body of Christ, to make decisions, God, that are good for our churches and our communities. Oh God, I pray that you'll touch our community leaders in the name of Jesus. Oh God, even our political leaders, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we pray the strength of those that have rule over us. We pray for their strength. We pray for their integrity. Oh God, we pray for their salvation in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray, Lord. I pray, God, that you'll endow them with wisdom. Oh God, that you'll give them a heart for the people of God and give them a heart for the people in the name of Jesus. Oh, we come against corruption. Oh, we come against hallelujah, secret deals done in secret rooms. Oh God, we come against it in the name of Jesus. Father, I'm asking, Lord, oh God, that shall break every chain and every fetter, God, oh God, that shall break every wall of the enemy, that shall bring down every stronghold and every strong man. Oh God, bring down every principality in the name of Jesus. Oh God, that is affecting the decision making of our leaders, of our political leaders. In the name of Jesus. Oh Father, we pray this morning that your will will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Oh God, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Oh God, give us to be instruments of your peace. Oh God, give us to be a walking, talking epistle. Give us to be, Lord, a light and a witness in this dark world. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray that you'll continue to preserve, to preserve and to heal our bodies. In the name of Jesus. Oh Lord God, you're able. Oh Lord God, you're able. The blood of Jesus prevail over our lives. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I ask this morning that you'll continue to bless and keep, oh God, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, some have gone through tragedy and trauma. Oh God, some Lord are yet going through some of the hardest days and times of their lives. Oh God, I pray that you'll pick them up. I pray that you'll uphold them. I pray that you'll encourage them. In the name of Jesus. I pray for their strength this morning. I pray for their strength this morning. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, someone is in mourning and grieving this morning. I pray for their strength, God. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, come have your way. Oh God, come and dry every weeping eye. Oh God, come in, Father, and light the way. Oh God, light the way. Make the way plain, Father. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you. We thank you for being in our midst. We thank you, Lord. Hallelujah for being here as we're praying. Oh God, I'm asking, Lord, oh Father, that you'll continue to keep us, that you'll continue to be our need supplier. That you'll continue, oh God, to be the one that exposes the enemy in our lives. Oh God, to continue to be the God that has given us victory. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. I thank you, God, for giving us relationship with you that we've never had previously. Strengthening us, God, to walk in strong relationship with you, to walk in close proximity with you in the name of Jesus. Oh God, give us strength. Oh God, give us strength. Oh God, give us strength. Oh God, give us to be resilient. Oh God, be us hallelujah. Give us Lord. Oh God, to continue, Lord, to be tenacious and to go after you in the name of Jesus. Oh God, give us to seek you with all of our hearts, God. Oh God, that we might find you. Oh God, that we might find you, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Oh Father, we thank you now. We thank you, God, even as we are preparing to go into the weekend. If it be your will, God, we thank you in advance. We thank you for your anointing, for your power, for your hand moving in our ministries, for your hand moving, oh God, for you having your way in our services. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, put someone in our path that we can invite to church. Oh God, put someone in our path. Oh God, that has been praying and wondering where they should go, where they'll be able to find a community of faith. Oh God, some are praying and looking for a church. I pray that you'll connect us with those people in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we pray. We pray, Lord, that your church will thrive. Oh God, every ministry that is called by your name. Oh God, I pray, Lord, that it will thrive in the name of Jesus. Oh Lord, have your way. Have your way. Give us to be witnesses, not just in the building, but God, give us to be witnesses everywhere that we go. Oh Father, we thank you now. In Jesus' name we pray. Thank God and amen. Thank God and amen. Our scripture for today was Matthew the fourth chapter in the tenth verse. Jesus said to him, Away from me, Satan, for it is written, Worship the Lord your God and serve him only. Hallelujah. And our devotional is called Fight with the Word. When Jesus was tempted, he didn't argue. He quoted Scripture. Sharp, decisive, powerful. If Jesus used it in battle, so should we. Memorize it, speak it, believe it. Victory often starts with it is written. Hallelujah. We thank the Lord for the devotional. You can find our devotional on our Facebook and Instagram page at Healing Words C-O-G-I-C. Victory starts with the words, it is written. It is written. Whatever the word of God says, whatever God has promised us, we thank God because that means that He has given us authority in those areas. That means that He has given us power in those areas, supernatural power. We thank the Lord, hallelujah, that we are not just helpless, we're not just blowing in the wind, but that God has given each one of us the ability to thrive, the ability to go forward in His Word. And so memorize it, speak it, and believe it. Amen. There's a great emphasis on the word that we've been talking about this week. So God is definitely calling us deeper into Bible study, deeper into studying the Word of God. And so we're going to do that with all of our hearts and with all of our capability. Amen. We thank the Lord for Pastor Mark Bayman Jr. and the Healing Word family. We thank God for them today. I thank God for each one of you, each prayer warrior that takes the time to come in and to pray in the morning. Thank God for you. Thank God for you and your prayers and how you continue to push this ministry along. We thank God for each and every one of you. And we thank God for those that will be listening on the podcast later on. We thank God for you and we pray that this prayer blessed you. And we're going uh steadily into a weekend if the Lord uh is willing. We'll go through the weekend, Saturday and Sunday. We won't be here. Um, we will return on Monday if the Lord is willing. All right. So take care of yourself, take care of your loved ones, and let the Lord use you. Have a wonderful weekend. God bless you.
