Peace With God Begins Today

Peace doesn’t appear out of thin air; it’s a promise anchored in Romans 5:1, and we press into that promise with focused, fervent prayer. We start by asking for words when our own run dry, binding fear and anxiety, and remembering God’s track record when doubt tries to rewrite the story. As we name what hurts and what’s heavy, we also name who God is—steady, present, and able to do anything but fail.
From there, our prayer widens to the world. We intercede for Jamaica after the hurricane, lifting those who have lost homes, work, and stability. Job’s restoration becomes a lens for hope, not as a slogan but as a petition for real rebuilding—double the portion for those left reeling, comfort for minds under stress, and provision that shows up in the right hands at the right time. We ask for wisdom and integrity for leaders, for pruning of selfish agendas, and for truth that serves the public good. Through it all, we hold to the conviction that God’s promises are still yes and amen.
We also ask for daily bread—healing for bodies, help for finances, and the manna of enough for today. In a world of wars, rumors, and noise, we ask to live as clear witnesses: grounded, guided, and covered. We end with gratitude for community support, the friends who stand in the gap, and the simple grace of pressing forward together. If this prayer met you where you are, share it with someone who needs peace, subscribe for more daily encouragement, and leave a review to help others find this space of hope.

Oh God, help us, Lord. Help us to continue to believe that you're still that type of all-powerful God that you were then, Lord. Oh, we declare from our mouths that you can do anything but fail. God, you can do anything but fail. God, you can do anything but fail. Oh Lord, we pray for Jamaica today. Oh God, having been hit, Lord, by that hurricane, Lord. In chapter 42 of Job, we began to see, Lord. Oh God, you giving him double. Oh God, double what he had before, God. Oh God, you blessed him, Lord. And you outdid yourself. Oh God, you did more than what you did previously. Oh God, you doubled his portion, God. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. And I pray for those, Lord. Oh God, those, even those people of God that are in Jamaica. Oh God, that you'll double their portion. Oh God, those that are down and out. Oh God, double their portion. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray this morning. Oh God, that you'll continue to direct our leaders. Oh God, I pray. I pray that you'll give them a mind of wisdom. I pray that you'll give them a mind to understand. I pray that you'll give them a heart for the greater good. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, prune off, oh God. Oh Lord, every individual that is just there for selfish gain. Oh God, prune off, Lord. Every individual that distorts the truth, Lord, and causes it to be that the public is not represented properly. Oh Lord, I pray, God, oh Lord, that shall come against God, that shall come against. Oh God, every attack, Lord. Oh God, every situation. Oh Lord, that is being talked about in private rooms. Oh God, I pray, Lord. Oh God, that shall allow your people, oh God. Oh Lord, to be able to thrive, oh God. To be able to thrive, Lord, in spite of what our leaders are doing, in spite of what it looks like today. Oh God, I thank you. Oh God, to get just enough for each day. Oh God, I pray. I pray that you'll allow those that are lacking to begin to have enough for the day. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, and even as they have enough for the day, help them to believe that you already have tomorrow worked out. In the name of Jesus. God, I thank you. You're an excellent God. You're an awesome God. You're a mighty wonder. And I thank you. Oh God, the devastation in the land, Lord, the wars on the earth and the rumors of war. Oh God, the corruption in the earth.
