0:00 | 20:13

Start the day anchored in hope, honesty, and a clear sense of season. We open by honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 3—there is a time for everything—then step straight into a heartfelt prayer that invites God’s presence into our breath, our homes, and our decisions. The tone is intimate and practical: we ask to be washed of pride and stubborn habits, to renew our minds beyond the pull of culture, and to become wise stewards who turn blessing into generosity for neighbors in need.

From there, we confront the realities so many are facing: rising flu cases, norovirus alerts, and the lingering effects many still feel after COVID. We pray boldly for protection and full restoration—lungs cleared, energy renewed, thoughts sharpened—because the One who designed our bodies can repair what’s been worn down. Psalm 23 threads through this moment as our steadying promise: even in valleys, the Good Shepherd leads, corrects, and comforts. That assurance frees us to walk forward with courage rather than cower in fear.

The heartbeat of the episode is the Pivot Principle inspired by Isaiah 60:3. Mistakes may be costly, but they are not final when surrendered to God. Like a misrun wire redirected to carry power, past failures can become conduits for wisdom, humility, and testimony. We ask a piercing question: what have you labeled final that God is inviting you to pivot? This is not erasing the past; it’s redeeming it. Your dawn may rise from the very place you thought disqualified you. We end with fresh expectancy for the week ahead, praying over roads, children, workplaces, and the quiet choices that shape our days.

If this encouraged you, share it with someone who needs a reset, subscribe for daily prayer and reflection, and leave a review so others can find this space of peace and purpose.

Opening, Scripture, And MLK Tribute

SPEAKER_00

Good morning, good morning. Welcome to Prayer. I thank the Lord for being here on January nineteenth, two thousand and twenty-six. Today historically marks the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Thanking God for his contributions to our culture and to the world. And we're thanking God for being able to be alive to see another day. Amen. Hallelujah. Uh scripture for this morning I've been looking at is Ecclesiastes, the first chapter in the NIV version. It's actually Ecclesiastes, the third chapter, uh verses one through three. There's a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to uproot. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build. Amen. A time and a season for everything under the heavens. Amen. And we're going to go before the Lord this morning. Hallelujah. Father God, hallelujah. I honor you, Lord. I honor you and your presence here. Your presence here among us. Oh God, you said in your word, lo, you are with us always, even until the ends of the earth. And so, God, I thank you, and I acknowledge you as Emmanuel God with us. I thank you, O God, that you are in every breath that we breathe. You are in the beating of our hearts, O God, and the blood running warm in our body. Oh God, we don't have to cry from afar off, Father. But Lord, you are with us today. And I thank you for being with us, O God. Oh Lord, I pray that you'll comfort hearts today and minds, Father. Oh God, I pray, Lord, that you'll have your way in this time of prayer, that you'll give us the words of intercession. I thank you, O God, that you'll give us, oh God, to pray in the Spirit in the name of Jesus. Holy Spirit, I welcome you. I welcome you to have your way here in this prayer. I welcome you to have your way here in each and every individual under the sound of my voice. Hallelujah. Touch, heal, and deliver today. Hallelujah. Give revelation in the name of Jesus. Have your way, Holy Spirit. Hallelujah, and do what no other power can do. Oh God, hallelujah. We cast down our crowns today, oh God, and we declare that you are King of kings and that you are Lord of our lives. Oh God, we thank you, Lord. We thank you for how good you've been to us, Father. We thank you, Lord, that even when we failed, we thank you, God, that even when we messed up, oh God, oh God, we thank you that even when we deserve death, oh God, Lord, you continue, Lord, to strive with us and love us. You extend your mercies to us every morning, oh God. You extend your faithfulness to us every morning, Father. Oh God, I pray, oh God, that you'll forgive us of sin, oh God. Every sin, oh God, every iniquity, Father. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, wash your children, oh God. Wash us from the crown of our heads to the soles of our feet. Wash us until stubbornness comes out of us. Oh God, wash us until pride comes out, Father. Oh God, wash us until every habit that is not like you comes out of us, God. Wash us until every seed of unrighteousness is pulled out by the root, God, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, your blood prevail over our mind today. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, in the book of Romans, you told us to not be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove that good and acceptable will of God. Oh Lord, help our minds, oh God, to be stayed on you. Help our minds, oh God, to be rooted in the things of heaven. Oh God, help our minds to be rooted in the Word. Oh God, give us to not conform to every whim of the culture, oh God. But God give us to study the kingdom, oh God, and to be kingdom-minded. Ayada Basata Bahia. Oh God. Oh God. Ah God, we thank you that having a mind of the spirit brings life, oh God. Oh God, but having a mind that sows to the flesh brings death and destruction. Oh God, give our minds, hallelujah, to be on the things of God. Oh Lord, that we may have life and life more abundantly in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I bind lack in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we come against every hallelujah demonic spirit that would cause us to struggle in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray that you'll give us to be good stewards over our finances. And God, I pray that you'll bless us to live abundantly, oh God. Give abundance to come in, Father, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray that your favor would be upon your people. Oh God, favor. Favor, oh God, as they pursue the things of God. Lord, I pray that you'll drench us in favor. Open doors that no man can shut, God. Do what no other power can do, Lord, in the name of Jesus. God, we thank you. We thank you, Lord. We thank you, God, that as you deal with nature, and you're faithful, oh God, to the birds of the air, oh God, you give them a place to rest. Oh God, you give them something to eat. As you're faithful to the lilies of the field, you adorn them, God. You clothe them, Father. So shall you be faithful to us. Oh God, I thank you. I thank you, oh God, for keeping a roof over our heads, for keeping clothes on our backs. Oh God, food insecurity has been a major thing, Lord, over the last year or so, God. Father, I thank you, Lord, for there being food on the tables of your people in the name of Jesus. I thank you for blessing us to be a blessing. I thank you for letting our pantry be so full that we can open it up and be good to our neighbors. I thank you, God. I thank you, Lord, for giving us to walk in abundance, God, that we may be light, that we may be witnesses in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you. I thank you that you can trust us. I thank you that you've taken us to a place where you can trust us. Oh God, I pray, Lord, that you'll give us, Lord, to seek you and to become that much more trustworthy in the name of Jesus. Oh God, that you can bestow upon us, Lord. Oh God, the keys to the kingdom. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you, Lord. I thank you, Father. I thank you for touching bodies today. I thank you, Lord. Hallelujah. Oh God, the flu has reached peak levels, oh God. Oh God, there's a neurovirus, Lord. Hallelujah, that is going out throughout the land. Oh God, the centers for disease control, they're warning people, Lord. Oh Father, I pray, Lord, that you'll keep your people in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray that you'll keep us from the flu. I pray that you'll keep us from rogue viruses. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you, because it is you that have numbered our days. It is you that numbers our days. Oh God, I thank you that you keep us, oh God. That you keep us, oh God, and that you don't slumber or sleep. Oh God, keep us, oh God. Keep us healthy, oh God. Oh Lord, some of us have already contracted the flu. Some of us have already contracted these viruses. I pray that you'll go into the body, oh God, and that you'll bring restoration in the name of Jesus. Oh God, folks have been saying that after COVID, they've lost their strength. Oh God, they're saying that after COVID, oh God, that they don't breathe like they used to breathe, that they don't think like they used to think. Ayada Bashaya, but I serve a God, I nenabokus, that is a healer, oh God. And I pray that you'll heal us, oh God. Heal us of every trace of COVID. Oh God, heal us of every trace of virus. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, when you heal, Lord, I thank you for restoring us back to health, restoring our breathing, restoring our minds, restoring us, oh God. Oh Lord, back to how we were previously. In the name of Jesus, we thank you, oh God. Oh God, if we can have it, you can heal it. You created the body. Oh God. You created every cell in our bodies. Oh God, you created our immune system. Oh God, you created the lungs that we breathe with. Oh God, you created it, Father. Oh God, restore it back to its way, oh God, to the way that you intended it, Father. In the name of Jesus. Lord, I thank you. I thank you, Lord. Your word declares in Psalm, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Hallelujah, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Oh God. Ah, God, I thank you that even though we walk through troubling times, even though we walk through dark days, we fear no evil. Because we see the shepherd out in front of us. Your rod and your staff, they comfort us, God. Your dominion and your authority, they comfort us, God. You being Lord of all comforts us, God. And God, you go before us, Lord, and you bring comfort throughout the days. Oh God, give us to put our trust in you. Oh God, give us to delight in you. Oh God, give our minds to think on you more in the name of Jesus. Oh God, when worry creeps in, give our minds to begin to think and to thank. Oh God, give us to begin to think of how good you've been and to thank you for it. Oh God, give us to begin to think on your goodness and thank you for it, God. Give us to become so caught up in the thank you, oh God, that worry begins to leave in the ayah notabo. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you for the start of another week. We thank you, God, for a brand new day with brand new mercies, oh God. I thank you that yesterday is not today. That today is a new day. I thank you that this week is not last week. Oh God, it's a new week. Oh God, give us to walk in expectancy. Give us to walk in joy. Oh God, give us to walk expecting. Oh God, that you'll provide for us, that you'll cover us, that you'll keep us, that you'll be good to us, God, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, I have fainted Arabashaya, lest I see Anamamashaya, the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Give us to walk in your goodness and in your mercy in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you. Father, I pray that you'll have your way in us and through us, O God, as we go throughout the day, cover us under your blood, keep our cars on the road, oh Father. Hallelujah. Keep our children and our children children, Lord. Oh God, we are in your care. In Jesus' name we pray. Thank God and amen. Thank God and Amen. We thank the Lord. Hallelujah. We thank the Lord. Hallelujah. Though we go through troubling times, trying times. Hallelujah. That good shepherd is out in front of us, leading the way, leading us even in the darkest of days. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Our devotional today is called the pivot principle. Hallelujah. Isaiah 60 and 3 reads, Nations will come to your light, the kings to the brightness of your dawn. Hallelujah. It reads, mistakes have a way of convincing us that our story is over. Regret whispers, you ruined it. Shame declares you've gone too far. But God introduces another concept, the pivot. And life, some missteps cost us relationships, time, credibility, or comfort. God never denies the cost, yet He also never wastes the lesson. Just like a misrun wire can be redirected and supply power. God repurposes surrendered mistakes into conduits of wisdom, humility, and testimony. The pivot does not erase the past, it redeems it. What once looked like failure becomes illumination for someone else's past. Your dawn may come through what you thought disqualified you. And a question for reflection, it asks what mistakes have you labeled final that God is inviting you to pivot? Amen. Where have you made a mistake in life where you felt that it was final? But God is inviting you to change it into a testimony, to change it into something that would be empowering to someone else. God is inviting us to pivot. Hallelujah. To turn the page and to use whatever we have within us to bring him glory. Amen. Thanking the Lord for our prayer warriors on the line this morning. I thank God for Elder JC Suttles. I thank God for uh Dr. Suttles this morning. Thanking God for them. Thanking the Lord for the listeners, those that tune into the podcast as well as those that uh get on the line in the morning. Thank God for you. Thanking the Lord for Pastor Mark Bayman Jr., the pastor of Healing Word Ministries. And I thank God for the Healing Word family. Amen. Uh we are preparing to leave this morning, but we're not leaving the presence of God. We're going in the presence of God and keeping it with us all throughout the day. Amen. And I will see you on tomorrow, 6 a.m., if the Lord is willing. God bless you and have a beautiful day.
