Joy doesn’t dawdle; it shows up on time. We gather around Psalm 30:5 and trace a clear line from night to morning, from ache to assurance. The conversation begins with a choice to seek God first—before inboxes, meetings, and the rattle of a busy week—because priorities shape perspective. That small act of obedience reframes our day, and it opens the door to practical requests: wisdom for hard conversations, restraint for our tongues, and a steadier spirit when emotions want the last word.

From there, we zoom out to storms both literal and personal. Recent winter weather becomes a living parable of covenant and memory, reminding us that God’s promises hold even when streets are slick and plans are fragile. Gratitude turns outward as we pray for those without warm shelter, asking for tangible mercy and safer roads. We move through family life with open hands, asking for guidance as parents, partners, and friends. And we stretch the prayer across generations—Boomers to Generation Alpha—naming a God who remains faithful while culture shifts and technology sprints ahead.

The heartbeat of the episode is a simple devotional: the storm has an expiration date. Pain tends to slow time and fear tries to make “now” feel like “forever,” but Scripture insists that sorrow does not outlive God’s joy. We name the ways we wander and the wounds we cause, then welcome the gentle Shepherd who leads us back and binds what’s been hurt. Along the way, we share community updates about an upcoming location shift for Healing Word Ministries, looking ahead with hope for deeper impact and a wider welcome.

Good morning and welcome to morning prayer. Today is January twenty-sixth, two thousand and twenty-six. We thank the Lord for allowing us to be here another week. And then God has been gracious to us. Our scripture this morning is Psalm 30th chapter in the sixth verse. It reads, For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Amen. We're going to go before the Lord in prayer. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Father. We thank you, O Lord, for another day. We thank you, O God, for waking up, oh God, clothed and in our right minds, O God. We thank you, God, for giving us a mind to get on the prayer line, a mind to seek you, Lord, a mind to go after you, Father. A mind to put you first, Lord. We thank you, God, that we give you the first fruits of our work week, Lord. Oh God, we thank you, Lord, because your word says, seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you. God, we seek you first. We seek you above everything else. We seek you above promotion. We seek you above earning, oh God. We seek you above, hallelujah, the issues that we are going through. God, we seek you first, Lord. Hallelujah. We put you, God, in your rightful place as first. And God, we believe, Lord. We believe that as we put you first, God, that you'll do what you said you'd do, oh God, and that you'll allow for all the other things in our lives to come into perspective. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. I thank you for giving us revelation this morning, giving us how to deal with matters, giving us a different way to approach things, God. Oh Lord, there may be things that were wearing us out on last week. There may be issues, oh God, that were wearing us down on last week. But God, we thank you that today is a new day. God, we thank you that today we walk into it, Lord. Hallelujah, holding your hand, Father. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. I thank you because, Lord, you'll allow us to see, oh God. You'll give us discernment, oh God. You'll give us how, oh God, and what to do. We thank you for the wisdom, oh God. We thank you, Lord, for wording our mouths, oh God, as we deal with other people, as we deal with situations. Lord, we don't want to say anything, Lord, that would be displeasing to you, God. Lord, we don't want to do anything that would be a misrepresentation of you. Oh God, so we thank you, Lord, for wording our mouths. We thank you for helping us to keep our emotions in check, Father. Oh God, we thank you, Lord. We thank you, God, hallelujah. We know that we are not perfect, oh God, but we know that we serve a strong God. We know that we serve a God that is able, hallelujah, to give us to triumph over situations and hardships, Lord. Oh God, you are able, oh God, hallelujah, to give us, Lord, the victory every time. And so, God, we put our hand in your hand as we walk through the day. Oh God, and we say, Lord, have your way. Oh God, I pray, Lord, God, I pray, hallelujah, and I thank you, Lord, for how, in spite of the storm, Lord, in spite of all that has happened, oh God, within the last 24 to 48 hours, Lord, how you covered us and protected us, Lord. Oh God, I thank you, Lord. I thank you because even the storm passing over, Lord, oh God, even storms passing over, allow us to remember the faithfulness of our God. Oh God, you are the God that set the rainbow in the sky. Hallelujah, to allow man to know that you promised, Lord, to keep us, oh God, that you promised that you would not destroy the earth by rain. Oh God, by flood. Oh God, you are still the God of covenants. You are a covenant-keeping God. And we thank you, Lord. Oh God, we thank you, Lord. Hallelujah, that even through these winter storms, oh God, you've given us a roof over our heads. We thank you, Lord, that you've given us a place, oh God, to lay our head, Father. We thank you, Lord, that you're keeping us warm, oh God. Oh Lord, we thank you. Oh God, we thank you, Lord, for how you keep us, Lord, how you keep our cars on the road, how you keep and protect us, Lord, day after day. Oh God, your faithfulness is so great. Great is your faithfulness to us. Great is your covenant and your commitment to us. Oh Father God, we pray. We pray this morning, hallelujah, and we're thanking and praising you. We're thanking and praising you, God. Hallelujah. We thank and praise you, Lord, for every storm that you've brought us through, for every battle you've seen us through. Oh God, we're thanking you, God. Thanking you for our many blessings, Lord. Thanking you, oh God, hallelujah, for our families, God. Thanking you, Lord. Oh God, for what you're doing in our families. Thanking you, God, for giving your spirit, oh God, to lead us and how we deal with our families. Oh God, how we parent, oh God. Oh Lord, how Lord, how Lord, we're committed, oh God, in our relationships in our families. Oh God, we thank you, Lord, for guiding us. Oh God, and giving us what to do. Hallelujah. Even with family. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray. I pray for every generation, oh God. Every generation, Lord. Oh God, I pray, Lord, you were God to the baby boomers, oh God. Just like you'll be God to the millennials, God. Just like you'll be God to Generation X, oh God. Just like you'll be God, hallelujah, to generation Alpha, oh God. Oh Lord, Veda, oh God. Each generation represented, Lord. God, they're different, Lord. But God, you're the same, God, and somehow you deal with us accordingly. Oh God, I pray, Lord. I pray that every generation know the faithfulness of God. Oh my thank you, God. I pray that every generation knows the faithfulness of God. Oh God, in the twilight of our years, help us to see the sweetness of God. Oh God, in our youth, God. Give us to see the faithfulness of our God. Oh Lord, every phase of life. Oh God, as things around us change, as the world changes, as the culture changes, oh God, I pray. I pray, Lord, that you'll give us to cleave to the solid rock of our salvation. Give us to lean on the solid rock. Give us to depend on the solid rock in the name of Jesus. Oh, all of the ground has proven to be sinking sand. Oh God, all of the ground, all of the ground has hallelujah proved to be inconsistent. Oh God, but Lord, you remain the same and you remain a man of your word. Oh God, we thank you today. We thank you, God, that the promises of God are yes and amen. Oh God, your promises towards us, your heart towards us. God, they hold up, Lord, down through the years. And we thank you, God. Hallelujah. Oh God, you don't have to be so good. You don't have to be so mindful. But we thank you, God. We thank you for who you are and all of your glory. We thank you that you choose to be good to us. We thank you, God, that you choose to forgive us. We thank you, God, that you choose to never leave our sides. Oh, God, though we are like wayward sheep. Oh God, though we get distracted, though we walk off course, though we walk away from the path. Oh God, you gently guide us. You gently bring us back. Oh God, into the fold. And you love on us and care for our wounds, oh God. Even the ones that are self-inflicted. Oh God, I thank you today. I thank you, Father, that day after day, moment after moment, second after second, you continue to be faithful. Oh God, I thank you, God. We thank and praise you, God, because you're so good. You're so good to us. We thank you for that word that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Oh God, some of us are due some joy. Oh God, some of us have been weeping for a while. Oh God, we thank you for the joy that comes. We thank you for the joy. Hallelujah, that comes in the morning. Oh God, have your way. Have your way in us today, Lord. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, and camp around us. Your angels keep us, oh God. Keep us as we go. Oh God, your angels, oh God. Cover us, oh God, and protect us, Lord, from the things that we cannot see. Oh God, have your way. Oh God, have your way in the name of Jesus. Oh Lord, I pray. I pray for each individual represented on the line today. I pray that you'll show yourself mighty and that you'll show yourself strong in the name of Jesus. God, whatever the situation is, oh God, whatever the sickness is. Oh God, whatever the struggle is, I pray that you'll show yourself strong in the name of Jesus. God, I pray that you'll bless these. Bless these on the line. Bless these that will tune into the replay. In the name of Jesus. I pray that you'll be Lord to all of us. I pray that you'll be God to all of us. In the name of Jesus. I pray that you'll supply every need according to your riches and glory. In the name of Jesus. Oh Father, we ask all of these things and we bless your name. In Jesus' mighty name. Thank God and Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. We thank the Lord. Thank the Lord for our time of prayer. Hallelujah. Going into our devotional. The devotional this morning is called The Storm Has an Expiration Date. The scripture for his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalm 30 and verse 5. The devotional reads, Storms often feel endless while we're in them. Pain distorts time and fear convinces us that this is forever. But Scripture reminds us that storms are seasonal and have an expiration date. God has never promised the absence of storms, but He did promise that sorrow would not outlive his joy. Mourning is not a suggestion, it's an appointment God keeps. What you're walking through is real, but it's not permanent. The night has a limit. The storm will pass. Amen. And the prayer attached to the devotional is Lord, help me trust that this season will not last forever. Anchor my hope and what you've already promised. Amen. Amen. We thank the Lord for our devotional. It can be found on our social media outlets, which is free to you. It's free for you. You can go in and you can uh type in at Healing Word C-O-G-I-C and it will pull up our devotional. We thank the Lord for this day. We thank God again for how he has preserved us. There might not be snow everywhere, but there's quite a bit of snow in New England where we're located. But God has kept us and we thank the Lord. We thank the Lord and it's still we still have a promise of a bit more snow, but we thank the Lord that He is allowing us to be somewhere warm and someplace where we have shelter. Everybody does not have that testimony, but we thank God for what He's doing in our lives. Amen. And we pray for those. We pray for those that are struggling without, and we do all we can in that realm. Amen. Amen. I thank God for our prayer warriors this morning. I thank God for Elder JC Suttles. I thank God for Dr. Suttles this morning, our prayer warriors. I thank God for uh Pastor Mark this morning, Pastor Mark Bayman Jr., the pastor and founder of Healing Word Ministries. Healing Word, we are on the move. We thank God that we are in the midst of a location shift coming shortly. We'll be sharing the address. We are getting things together. Hallelujah. We're just thanking the Lord for what he's done, for the new thing that he is doing in the ministry. And we pray that on this time around that there be even a greater impact and that God would have his way. Souls be saved, the community be touched. We pray that God will have his way. Amen. Continue to keep us in prayer. Amen. God bless you all. I thank God for you this morning. Have a beautiful day.
