Not every open door is a God door, and that single line can save you from years of striving. We start Morning Prayer with 1 Peter 5:6, asking for the kind of humility that stops performing and starts depending. When we humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand, we learn how to wait without fear and how to trust that He can lift us up “in due time,” not in panic time.

We pray honestly about our reflex to take over, fix everything, and push outcomes, especially with big decisions in ministry, business, work, family, and finances. We ask God to give us wisdom and direction, to mature our faith, and to help us consult Him before we step out. Waiting becomes more than a pause, it becomes obedience, clarity, and preparation for what we keep asking God to do.

From there, the prayer widens into real needs: laying down worry and stress, crying out for deliverance, and asking for strength in a perilous time of war. We intercede for leaders who need wisdom and for families carrying grief across the United States and other countries. We also pray for healing in bodies and minds, and for protection over our loved ones, our churches, and our communities.

Welcome And Scripture Focus

SPEAKER_00

Good morning. Welcome to Morning Prayer. Today is March seventeenth, two thousand and twenty-six. Our prayer this morning, our scripture this morning is first Peter five and six. It reads, humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. First Peter five and six in the NIV version of the Bible. Amen. And we will go before the Lord this morning. Scripture aim and and the general aim is for humility and for the ability to wait on God. Amen. Father, we adore you and we exalt you, Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Be exalted in the heavens. Be exalted in the earth, oh God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. All glory belongs to you. All power belongs to you. All praise belongs to you, Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We exalt you. Hallelujah. We call you holy. We call you righteous. We call you mighty. We call you our Lord. We call you our Savior. Hallelujah. We call you our Master. Oh God, we call upon the name of the Lord. We lift up the name of the Lord this morning. Hallelujah, Father. I pray even now that you'll wash our hearts, wash our minds, O God. Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we ask you to forgive us of our sins, Lord. We ask you to forgive us of every wicked way in the name of Jesus. Oh Father, hallelujah. Our prayer this morning is that you'll break the chains of the enemy. Our prayer this morning is that you'll deliver us, oh God. Deliver us, oh God, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, set us free, oh God, from everything, everything that is pulling us in the direction that is opposite from where you want us to go. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you today. I thank you, Lord. We thank you for giving us the words of prayer. We thank you, Lord, for giving us to pray, oh God, to pray your heart, God, to pray your will, Father, this morning in the name of Jesus. Holy Spirit, have thine own way in the name of Jesus. Holy Spirit, have thine own way in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we ask this morning, oh God, that you'll give us the strength, oh God, the strength to humble ourselves, the strength to wait on you, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, our nature, oh Lord, is to do everything that we can, to do everything in our power with the situation. Oh God. Our hallelujah habit, oh God, is to go after things ourselves, Lord. Oh God, help us, Lord, to become dependent on you. Help us to humble ourselves in how we go about doing the things that we need to do. Help us to ask you, Lord. Help us to consult with you, Lord, before we step out, Father, in the name of Jesus. Oh God, especially when it comes to big decisions. Oh God, especially when it comes, Lord, oh God, to ministry, especially, oh God, when it comes to business. Oh God, give us to humble ourselves. Give us to realize that we don't know it all. Give us to realize that we cannot do it all. Oh God, but that we need the hand of Almighty God, that we need the know-how of a mighty God. Oh Lord, not only do we need you, God, oh God, but we want you in our affairs. We want you in our day-to-day. We want you, oh God, in our work. We want you, oh God, in our family. Oh God, we want you in every facet of life. In the name of Jesus. Oh God. We don't want to confine our faith to just the church. Oh God, but Lord, help us to believe, Lord, that you can give us wisdom, oh God, that you can move us forward, oh God, even in our work. Oh God, even with our families. Oh God, even in our finances. Oh God, you are Lord of all. And we ask, Lord, hallelujah, that you'll pour into us, Father. Oh God, give us to see, Lord, a glimpse of your will for our lives. Oh God, that we may have direction and order in what we're doing and what we're putting our energy to in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you, Lord. We thank you for maturing us. Oh God, we thank you for building up our most holy faith. Oh God, we thank you, Lord, for the perfecting and the trying of our faith, God. Oh God, we thank you today. Oh Father, I pray that you'll strengthen your people. Strengthen us, oh God. Oh Lord, to not just stand in the fight alone. Oh God, but to cry out to heaven for help. Oh God, to cry out to heaven for deliverance. Oh God, to cry out to heaven for whatever it is that we need. In the name of Jesus. Oh wonderful Savior. I thank you today. I thank you that there is no problem that we can have that you cannot solve. I thank you, Holy God. Oh Lord, that you're able, oh God. Oh, you're not just Lord in the church, but you're Lord over all things. Oh God, give us to bring our burdens. Give us to bring our problems. Give us to bring our issues to you, Father. In the name of Jesus. Give us to bring them to you in prayer. Oh God, we lay at your feet every worry and every care. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, have your way in our situations. Have your way in our lives. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, we thank you this morning. I thank you for every listener, for every family that is represented here today. Oh God, I pray. I pray that you'll keep us. You'll keep us out of trouble, God. I pray that you'll keep us and give us wisdom today. In the name of Jesus. Give us self-control today. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, help us, Lord, to be everything that you want us to be. Help us, Lord, to be everything that you're calling us to be. In the mighty name of Jesus. Oh Lord God, we need you. Oh Lord God, we want you. Oh Lord God, make a way out of nowhere. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I pray, Lord. Oh God, as we're going through this time, this perilous time. Oh God, this time of war. I pray, Lord, that you'll strengthen us, oh Lord. Strengthen our relationship with you as never before. Oh God, give us to give our burdens to you. Give us to not carry the stress, but to give everything over to you. Oh God, we pray for our leaders. Oh God, we pray that you'll give them wisdom. Oh God, we pray, oh Lord, hallelujah, that you'll move on their hearts and their minds. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, we pray for every family. Every family that has lost a loved one. Oh God, even in the war. Oh God, not just in the United States. Oh God, but from other countries. Oh God. Oh Lord, I pray. I pray for their grief. I pray that you'll meet them in their grief and that shall soothe it in the name of Jesus. Oh God, we're asking that you'll do what no other power can do in the name of Jesus. Oh God, help us this morning. Help us, oh God. Oh Lord, to trust you and to rely on you in the way that the Word of God prescribes. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, I thank you and I praise you for this is the day that the Lord has made. I pray, oh God, that you'll put running in our feet this morning. I pray that you'll give us to do whatever our hands find to do and to do it with a spirit of excellence. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Lord, oh God, that you'll heal bodies today. Oh Lord, even as we are praying, even as we are here on the prayer line, I pray that you'll move on bodies. In the name of Jesus. Move on the mind, oh God. In the name of Jesus. Oh God, wherever there is ache, wherever there is pain. Oh kind Father, we ask that you'll restore. We ask that you'll heal in the mighty name of Jesus. Oh God, we need you today. Oh God, we need you today. We need you to make it through the day. Oh God, we need you to be victorious in our day. Oh God, we need you. Oh God, care for us. Oh God. Cover us under your blood and protect us. Protect our families and our loved ones in the name of Jesus. Oh, we cancel the assignment of the enemy in the name of Jesus. We cancel the assignment of death in the name of Jesus. Oh, the blood of Jesus prevail over these your people. The blood of Jesus prevail over these churches, oh God. The blood of Jesus prevail over our minds. In the name of Jesus. Oh yes, God. Every plan of the enemy be destroyed this morning. In the name of Jesus. We exalt you, oh God. We exalt you, Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus, have your way in the name of Jesus. Oh God. We ask for all of these things. And we're thanking you and we're praising you. In Jesus' name. Amen and amen. Amen. I honor the presence of the Lord here, his anointing. We thank God for it. We thank the Lord for all that he has done, all that has been said up to this point. I'm going to read just the summary of our devotional this morning. The name of our devotional this morning is The Power of Waiting. The key scripture is humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, which is 1 Peter 5 and 6. And the description reads: Not every open door is a God door. Sometimes the holiest thing you can do is wait. Plus God's timing. He knows when you're ready for what you're asking for. Amen. Amen.
