The recent NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway ended with Ty Gibbs earning his first career Cup Series victory in a dramatic overtime finish. Gibbs held off hard-charging drivers Ryan Blaney and Kyle Larson after a late caution reshuffled the field, winning by just 0.055 seconds in one of the closest Bristol finishes in decades. Larson dominated much of the race and swept the first two stages, but Gibbs’ decision to keep track position late proved to be the winning move.
