How Can You Read This? There's No Pictures!
"To be or not be, that is the question." - Hamlet
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..." - A Tale of Two Cities
"When you read a book as a child, it becomes a part of your identity in a way that no other reading in your whole life does." - You've Got Mail
There is something about the written word that sparks imagination and roots itself deep within us. Classical literature is the same but with one exception, that it also presents a vast vocabulary beyond what our modern world offers in today's age. Words that portray images so vivid one can't help but see them clearly. Rich and bold, the classics hold a world that should be ventured into on a regular basis.
The Scarlet Letter is just such a classic. In this episode we delve into this book, its story, characters, themes, and settings in our very first Literature spotlight. We hope you'll come along for the conversation.
