Hello everybody. Welcome to Connected at the Wheel.
SPEAKER_01Hello. I feel like I should learn Italian after today.
SPEAKER_04Um, bonjour, no.
SPEAKER_01I think I said that on our preview.
SPEAKER_04You did.
SPEAKER_01But ciao is goodbye, right?
SPEAKER_04Ciao's both. It's kind of like aloha.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I did not know that.
SPEAKER_04Ciao, Bella.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Italia Forza. Forza Italia.
SPEAKER_01Forza Kimmy.
SPEAKER_04Forza Italia. Kimmy Antonelli.
SPEAKER_01Kimmy for Pope.
SPEAKER_04Pray for us.
SPEAKER_01Kimmy for Pope. Kimmy for Pope.
SPEAKER_04So what do we what do what are we doing? We're reviewing.
SPEAKER_01I think we just gave it all away.
SPEAKER_04The Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
SPEAKER_01Yep. Tafosi was strong.
SPEAKER_04Well, no, the Tifosi was not strong.
SPEAKER_01Well, Tafosi's the fans.
SPEAKER_04Tafosi's the Ferrari fans.
SPEAKER_01Well, they were still out there in force.
SPEAKER_04Well, they weren't Ferrari fans aren't their power isn't behind the great. Kimmy Antonelli.
SPEAKER_01Today it was.
SPEAKER_04I don't know about that.
SPEAKER_01But their second greatest joy happened today.
SPEAKER_04Kimmy Antonelli made 26 overtakes today. I think that is more than the last five Monaco races altogether.
SPEAKER_01It could be. I mean, all drivers. It really is.
SPEAKER_04Seriously.
SPEAKER_01That's a pretty safe bet. Oh. Yes.
SPEAKER_04Should we do a race rating?
SPEAKER_01Um, sure.
SPEAKER_04Okay. We're gonna go three, two, one rate?
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Ready?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Three, two, one, ten. Did you give it a ten?
SPEAKER_01I think I did.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It was a great race. It was a fun race.
SPEAKER_01It was fun to watch.
SPEAKER_04There were battles non-stop. There was not, I think there were two laps that something didn't happen.
SPEAKER_01Right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It's like that was that was fabulous. That was just a lot, a lot, a lot of fun. I wouldn't be quite as happy if Russell had maintained his lead.
SPEAKER_01Sure, it was the yo-yo passing, but it did make it entertaining to watch.
SPEAKER_04Yep.
SPEAKER_01It did. And the right guy won. So.
SPEAKER_04Exactly. So to recap the race, young Kimmy Antonelli qualified in sixth, I believe. Sixth. And had to take multiple good drops due to engine changes.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_04And started in 19th place.
SPEAKER_01He would have so mind you. If nobody else took engine penalties and stuff, I think he would have actually started 22nd.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because um Alonzo and Alban and Lawton. Alonso and Law Albin too? I didn't know that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Alonso and Lawsen started on the pit lane. Right. And then, yeah, Alban is the only person who was all or only person in front of them between Antonelli and him. So he must have also started on the pit lane. So yeah, Kimmy started from 19th. Piastri also started with a grid penalty because of impeding.
SPEAKER_01Yes, he impeded Lawson when in qualifying. Right.
SPEAKER_04And so he he dropped, he he finished, he qualified in third place, but he started the race in sixth. And then um, yeah, and then Alonzo and Lawson started in the pit lane, as I mentioned. So we start the race? Sure. Who's in first place? Who's on pole position? Let's remind everybody in case they don't remember. Pierre. I think it was a dream. Pierre Gasley in the Alpine.
SPEAKER_01I know.
SPEAKER_04In the Pepto Bismol pink car.
SPEAKER_01Blue car, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um, okay, so do you think that he woke up with dreams of winning this race? Of course he did. He did. I'm sure he did. It was probably pretty busy. So right before the race started, I said to you, hey, let's make a let's lay some wagers. How long does Gasly stay in the lead? And your answer was less than a lap.
SPEAKER_01And I said, I I originally wanted to say first lap. I said, I'll be different. I'll say lap two.
SPEAKER_04You said two laps. And I had said I thought he'd be down in third to fourth. I didn't think he was just getting passed by one driver. So um and what happened? Well, let's see. Gasly gets a really good start. So did Russell and Leclerc. Then Lewis and Charles get really close. They seem like they're touching, and then Lewis goes off. Yeah. Flames Charles pushed him off. Max makes his way up to fourth. He'd started in fifth?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Sixth. So he just jumped up one place.
SPEAKER_04And then Lewis was down in P9 and then P10 after getting pushed off. So he wasn't out. He just got back in. Um then.
SPEAKER_01Then we were on the track.
SPEAKER_04Russell takes the lead on lap two.
SPEAKER_01First corner, yes. So I won a dollar. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Well, we didn't actually wager the give the amount. How about if I make you some kebabs?
SPEAKER_01You were doing that anyways.
SPEAKER_04Um LeClaire passes Gasly immediately after that, and then Gasly passes Leclerc. By lap two, Kimmy Antonelli, who started in 19th place, is up to 13th place.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04Shouldn't be shocking. Probably passed Stroll, Perez, Botas, Sonoda, Okan signs. So, you know, we got the Cadillacs in there. We got Sonoda who doesn't, it's the second race of the season. Ocon, who really hasn't done anything special.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_04And then Signs, who, you know, isn't just in a really crappy car. So nothing really surprising there, but still exciting. Um, Max passes Charles on lap two.
SPEAKER_01He did.
SPEAKER_04Uh, and then lap three. Charles and Oscar start to scuffle.
SPEAKER_01Was that a lap three? Mm-hmm. Why was I thinking that was a second lap?
SPEAKER_04It was lap three. Unless it was right as they came into lap three and it changed right after. Uh, Charles and Oscar were scuffling, and then Charles lost control and spun off the track. Originally we thought Oscar caused it.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, because we couldn't see it on camera.
SPEAKER_04Right, but they showed it later and it was single car.
SPEAKER_01All by himself.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh. All by my so there's a yellow flag, and then there was a full red flag.
SPEAKER_01So Charles pulled a little clear.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Maybe I was lap two. I don't remember because I kept thinking that Russell was on those tires for 51 laps. But was it only 50 laps? I don't know. Semantics. Right. Um, so Russell's to the front. Colo Pinto at that point was in third in front of Max, which is he passed Max? Mm-hmm. At that point, Colo Pinto was right in front of Max.
SPEAKER_01Um, oh yeah, he did start. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Then Max did a beautiful pass around Colo Pinto.
SPEAKER_01One of many.
SPEAKER_04Yep. Uh sorry. During the red flag, do we need to talk about tires? Some people change tires. Everybody changes their tires. Everybody changed their tires. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Because both Ferraris had started on soft, and then they came out. And Lewis, well, and Antonelli had started on hard.
SPEAKER_04Hard.
SPEAKER_01And Lewis and Anthony came out on mediums. George started on mediums, he came out on hard.
SPEAKER_04Right. Okay. So everybody was kind of changing up. Now, of note, folks, George Russell came out on hard on lab three. He never changes those tires.
SPEAKER_01Right. So, um, as most Lewis never changed off his mediums.
SPEAKER_04Yep. By lap seven, Kimmy Antonelli is up to P6. Lap seven.
SPEAKER_01There's no denying.
SPEAKER_04That is amazing.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04Verstappen passes Gasly on lap seven. And then we have in the lead, it's Russell Verstappen, Gasly, Hamilton. Top four.
SPEAKER_01Right. But there's in the top ten, there was lots of passing back, forth, back, and forth back.
SPEAKER_04Well, then lap ten, Hamilton passes Gasly, Antonelli passes Gasly. So Gasly is now falling down to his rightful place. He ended pretty well, considering. Right. But uh, let's see, on lap 12, Max takes the lead. At this point, I was fuming. Folks, I finally took Max out of my fantasy team.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_04It just kept shooting me in the butt.
SPEAKER_01But everything. Whatever.
SPEAKER_04Everything. And uh so I finally got him out of there. I made George put George Russell on my team, but I did keep my 2x on Kimmy. So I had George and Kimmy, and then I had Ferrari as one of my teams thinking, oh, they thinking they'd be really good here. Oh yeah. Yeah. So I was at this point when Max takes the lead, I was like, you have got to be kidding me. So um did we ever hear anything about Yuki's starting procedure infringement? It was a flash up there that he was being investigated.
SPEAKER_01Well, they said they're gonna investigate after the race. But as of yet, I still haven't seen anything about it. The only penalty I've seen for the whole race was Sergio Perez for not following course marsh uh Marshall's instructions, race director instructions. He obviously left the track.
SPEAKER_04There was another one, another investigation later for Hulk and somebody Bearman, maybe. I'll I have a note on it later when we get there. So I don't recall ever seeing that resolved. Um all right, so on lap 12, Antonelli passes Hamilton and Kimmy, and he is then two and a half seconds from the lead on lap 12. It's amazing. Lap 13, Antonelli passes PS Street.
SPEAKER_01Throughout the season, Mercedes's been the fastest car, and he has a brand new engine and power unit. He should be, but my god, nobody thought he would move up that fast.
SPEAKER_04Oh, it's that's what I'm just saying. It took 13 laps for him to be one second, 14 laps for him to be one second back from the leaders. Max and Russell, who at that point started battling for the for the lead.
SPEAKER_01Much to Kimmy's liking.
SPEAKER_04Yep. So then I have um oh lap 15, Russell passed Max. So then it's Russell in the lead, Max in second, Kimmy coming up. Um Hamilton and Piastri battled for a while too. Yo-yo'd back and forth. Lap 16, Antonelli passes verstabben. So um he's in second. Yeah, took up to lap 18 for Kimmy to take the lead. 18 laps from 19th place.
SPEAKER_0118 laps, 18 positions.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh. Amazing. So then we get another shot of Piastri passing Hamilton, and it's really funny because even the announcers are like, so that could have happened anytime in the last 14, four races, you know, because in the last four laps, because they just kept yo-yoing back and forth. So it was no telling actually at what point that video was shot. Um, and then Russell and Kimmy started yo-yoing back and forth. Um, Gasly stayed in the mix. So at this point, we're on like lap 20. Gasly passed Norris to get back into sixth place. So kind of still staying up there in the middle of all those top the top cars. Pretty impressive. Um Hulk and Lawson were under investigation for something with the safety car, I believe. And then Lawson also had a black and white flag at that point. So that's is that a track limits flag or is that a warning?
SPEAKER_01Or it's it's basically a warning of something. If you do it again, you're getting a penalty.
SPEAKER_04But we never heard much anything else, really, I don't think. And I I don't think it was it was really going to affect anything major in the race. Inconsequential points at all. Um, lap 23, Russell gets back in front of Antonelli, and then Antonelli's radio comes on.
SPEAKER_01Well, they went back and forth a couple times.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, they were yo-yoing, I said. And then on lap 23, Russell got back in front, and then Antonelli's radio came on and said we need to stop yo-yoing to build a gap on verse 7. Yep. And was Kimmy happy about that? Um, I'm gonna say no. He said, Yeah, then why does he keep passing me? You want me to sit behind him or what?
SPEAKER_01Right. But he did follow team orders and he sat behind him.
SPEAKER_04He did, and then shortly after, I think it was even on the same lap, maybe just a lap or two later, he uh misses the chicane. It's like you can tell when Kimmy gets pissed. He he was um which I agree, I don't think the preference should go to George.
SPEAKER_01I mean This is where we agree to disagree because ultimately the team wants the top positions that they can get, no matter what order their drivers are in.
SPEAKER_04But I also think when you have a driver that is this obviously in the lead, there are but it's hard when your other driver is second in the place. Well, we're gonna talk later about how Kimmy was almost out of the race. I mean, could have been at that one moment near the end of the race. And right that is a that is a team mistake. You don't, I don't know. I I say you let him through, he's winning. Because I mean, if you were Kimmy, wouldn't you turn around and be like, you know what? Any team will take me next year.
SPEAKER_01So go ahead. Any team would, but ultimately they sign your checks. You have to obey your bosses.
SPEAKER_04Uh I just don't, yeah. Anyway, so he came on, Kimmy was not happy. Um sorry, just trying to figure out where I am. Then we had a lap 28, we had a yellow flag, stroll radio, stop the car, hydraulic issue. So Aston Martin continuing to wow us.
SPEAKER_01We have we ever even found out what happened to Alonzo, because he also no, I have no idea what happened to Alonzo.
SPEAKER_04I don't, I don't think. Maybe maybe I have a note about it. I'm not sure. It didn't stick out in my mind. So um, so then during the yellow flag, Antonelli gets the note to box. Sorry everybody, my phone just rang.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and that was the theme of the Golden Girls. You didn't write it.
SPEAKER_04If you were wondering, it's thank you for being a friend. Um so Antonelli gets the note to box.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_04And then over the radio, I don't know if the timing, maybe it was just a timing of the radio message, but JP came on and said, Antonelli, just drive slower. Ride slower through the corners. And so he's like, you know. Oh, Bono came over, sorry, and said, Anton, you know, you you just basically he was saying, take it easy, you don't have to drive so fast, you can take it easy in the corners. And I'm thinking Max is on his butt. Well, you two you started driving slower through corners, you're getting past.
SPEAKER_01Didn't they say that before they pitted?
SPEAKER_04Well, yeah, so it it kind of he said that as you saw the box box come up, and it was kind of the timing of the messages on the TV, right? We're kind of the same time. Doesn't mean that's the truth of the time, you know.
SPEAKER_02Well, true.
SPEAKER_04He could have said that to Antonelli two laps earlier. I don't know. But um, I just thought it was an interesting comment because Max was right there. Wasn't like they had a gap.
SPEAKER_01Right. Could have been a big gap. Like you said, it could have been that delay, then we see the messages.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, exactly. So that just didn't really make sense. So Antonelli and Verstappen both pit. Max put on hards, Antonelli put on mediums, and then they came out. And the order was when they came out, Russell in first, Piastri Hamilton, Norris, Gasly, Antonelli Verstappen.
SPEAKER_01Yes, and Russell already had like a six-second lead. Yeah, he did. Well, because they were in formation under the VSC, and now he lost two people between him and Oscar. So that's why the gap was so big at that point. It's not like he stretched the gap.
SPEAKER_04Right. So that was about lab 29. And then on lab 30, Russell's radio says, I've got massive D-rating in this strat. Are you sure this is good? And they said, Keep the strat, keep the strat. I don't know what that means.
SPEAKER_01It's an engine setting.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I know that in the cooldown room they were talking about it, and Russell was like, What strat? Or Anthony Ellie said, What strat were you on? And Russell said, seven and four. And Anthony Elliott goes, Oh, and Russell goes, What were you on? Eight? And he's like, Yeah. This is very interesting.
SPEAKER_01Russell's like, they're sandbagging me. Probably thinking. Um but mind you, Russell was also on a different tire compound.
SPEAKER_04So in lab 30, Antonelli passes Gasly for fifth. Lab 31, Max passes Gasly for fifth. Then lab 31, Antonelli passes Norris right after I finish saying Norris Ham passing Norris Hamilton and Piastri won't be as easy.
SPEAKER_02Right. I said that.
SPEAKER_04I go, oh, passing Norris Hamilton and Piastri won't be as easy. And you go, and he passed Norris.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um, that's where I have a note that says Perez has a penalty for something escape road five seconds. Really inconsequential penalty.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Lap 33 for Stappen gets in front of Norris. And then Russell is noted for a yellow flag infringement. So this is when we're waiting to see if Russell's gonna get a five or ten second penalty.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, uh it'd probably be a 10. I think they're kind of up them on the yellow flags.
SPEAKER_04Lap 34, Russell Radio comes on. His engineer says, Kimmy, 25.0. And Russell says, just let me drive.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_04Going as quick as I can. I don't know why I said that like Hamilton. Um, lab 35 is when Hamilton went down the escape road and Kimmy gets passed.
SPEAKER_01So it was an easy pass.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Uh so at that point, Russell is 8.3 seconds in front of Piastri, who is 1.9 seconds in front of Antonelli. Okay, so Antonelli's pretty close there. So lab 36, Hamilton Radio. This tire is terrible, man.
SPEAKER_01Because Hamilton is related to Michael Jackson.
SPEAKER_04The tire's terrible, mate. Uh, he was on the medium tire. So we were trying to figure that out because Antonelli had been on medium and put more mediums on, right? And so if the medium tire was so bad, why did Antonelli like them? But you said that it was because Hamilton didn't pick when they did. So when the mediums got older, maybe they got a little less manageable. Um, so Piastri at that point, lap 36. So another uh one lap later, Piastri lost a half second. So he's losing time to Russell. It only took one more lap for Kimmy to get past. So um, and then Verstappen passed Hamilton to P4. So then you have Russell with 8.7 seconds to Kimmy, 1.2 seconds to Piastri, and 1.6 to Verstappen. So they're all really close together. I mean, other than Russell being eight seconds away, but when you've got Super Kimmy coming, it doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_01Eight seconds, 12 seconds. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It doesn't matter, exactly. So around 38, we get Oscar Radio saying that Russell was under investigation, blah, blah, blah. Uh, lab 39, Max gets into P3 in front of Piastri. Piastri had a pretty good race.
SPEAKER_02He did.
SPEAKER_04Considering how lackluster his season's been.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_04Uh, then they got Russell came on the radio asking, are the la times good enough at the moment? And they said currently Kimmy's projected to catch us at the last moment of the race. Um, so lap 40, Russell's only seven and a half in front of Antonelli. Um that's when we get the announcement that there's no penalty for Russell. So he will not be getting a penalty. Um, which at the time I was disappointed in, and now I'm glad because I'm glad there was nothing to help Kimmy. So his win was all his own. Kimmy, no need help. No, he don't. Did you hear my English there? No, he don't. No, he doesn't. Well, um, so then round lab 40s, the PS reinverse stop and start doing their little dance again. I swear to God, those two cars were like in sync with each other today.
SPEAKER_01It's yeah. Well, if you stay in that one second, you get that little boost.
SPEAKER_04That's yeah. Yeah. So then Kimmy's radio comes on, lab 42. Kimmy, we need 24.5 seconds minimum to catch. What'd Kimmy do? I don't know. Well, according to Juan Pablo afterward, when they told Kimmy he needed 42.5, he did a 42.0.
SPEAKER_0124.5.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. When they said you need 24.5, he turned around and did 24.0. I believe Kimmy's fastest lap was his last lap of the race.
SPEAKER_01It was. Which and he had already had like a three-second lead that he built up in a in a lap.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Well, let's get to it. So uh lap 42 Verstappen locks up and takes the escape road. Same thing Hamilton had done, however, he didn't lose any time.
SPEAKER_01So um Yeah, he uh he weaved his way through those bars pretty quickly.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Um, so then we still have it's Russell, Antonelli, Piastri, Verstappen, Norris. Because Norris got in front of Hamilton around that same time. Uh then. We get a Russell Radio on lab 43. The tire is opening up. And I have found myself when the Brits speak, I spell it with a Y.
SPEAKER_01The tires. You know, coincidentally, where was I? I I was at work the other day and I'm driving past, I'm in the neighborhood, and there's a street sign. And I'm in the street. And the name of the street was tire. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_00Back to the subject at hand.
SPEAKER_04Um, so yeah, I didn't know what that meant. I was like picturing his tires splitting open.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_04Tires opening up. I don't know. So um Max gets past Piastri on that same lap lap. And then by lap 44, Antonelli is only 4.2 seconds back. So he's cut that in half in no time. Um lap 44 Russell's radio. Kimmy is forecast to catch us in six laps. So that would put us at lap 50. Yep. Let's see when he catches. Russell's radio comes on, and they say we can see the damage on the tire in the lap time or something like that. No risk, George. Take no risks. And at that point, this is lap 46, Kimmy's two seconds back. Well, William swaps positions. Who cares?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't even understand what the point of that was.
SPEAKER_04And then Albon pitted and had a 4.4 second pit. So um, who knows? Lap 47, Kimmy is 1.4 seconds back. Lap 48, Kimmy is 0.7 seconds back. And Norris passes Piastri. Lap 49, Kimmy goes off into the gravel. Let's talk about this. What happened? Which one was that when he that's the one when he fully went into the gravel and it oh and it got sideways? There's four laps left in the race. He's gaining, he's one point four seconds behind Russell, and suddenly he's in the freaking gravel.
SPEAKER_01Well, there was one time when he cut the chicane, went straight. That's not the time.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01You're talking about it. Yes, okay. So it was in the turn one chicane, turn one slash turn two. I think he was a little over-aggressive and should have waited before he tried to pass Russell.
SPEAKER_04You were like, I wish you would have waited.
SPEAKER_01And it was a last second. He dove to the inside. It was very reminiscent of lap one between Leclerc and Hamilton. Same situation. You know, Russell went a little deep and got on the brakes. So he went a little deep. Jimmy tries to sneak inside. And then on the way out, George kind of just inched him off, kind of like how LeClerc did the Hamilton at the beginning of the race.
SPEAKER_04It's the same moment that Max was talking about in the cooldown room, though, right? Where he he they were looking at it and he goes, Oh, I had that as well, but I didn't go off. The crazy, the gravel from the tarmac. So it sounds like they each actually hit a little bit of that gravel.
SPEAKER_01They said that there was some track degradation at that part, which caused people to lock up and then they would go straight to the escape road. Russell didn't have to take the escape road.
SPEAKER_04It wasn't the spot with the escape road where Kimmy went off on the gravel.
SPEAKER_01What about it?
SPEAKER_04He went off into a big plate of gravel. And then, I mean, it almost looked like he was going to get stranded, but he kept driving. Like that's one thing I think that keeps that makes me happy. When something goes wrong, you don't stop driving.
SPEAKER_01And that car was sideways.
SPEAKER_04I was afraid he I was worried that maybe he hurt his car.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04And I think he did hit the gravel because he came on the radio after that and said, What the happened there?
SPEAKER_01I think he was complaining because George pushed him off.
SPEAKER_04I don't know. We might have to go back and rewatch that. But I do think that that's what that's the point that Max was talking about when he was like, I hit that gravel too. I didn't go off, but that was crazy.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_04Um, I mean, I commented on how much gravel was on the track, and I was surprised they didn't try to go fix it.
SPEAKER_01Did we figure out how much time can he lost right there?
SPEAKER_04About well, he had been 1.4 seconds behind, and when he got back on the track, he was 1.8 seconds behind.
SPEAKER_01Well, he was right next to Russell at that point. So he was well, yeah, you're right. You're right.
SPEAKER_04So he lost about 1.8. Um don't matter though.
SPEAKER_01It doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_04Then Piastri got into fourth. He passed Norris into fourth.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um, lab 50, Russell's radio. They came back on the radio and they said, George, no risks. No risks, George. Sounds like maybe that tire was a little uh I think they're basically saying Kimmy's coming, and you better not crash into each other. Cat lab 50, Kimmy takes the lead. Um, and he gets over one second before before the parabolica or whatever, before the detection, so that he didn't George didn't get the boost.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_04Um and then Kimmy's radio, keep it clean, Kimmy, no risks. This was like the the radio theme of the day was keeping it clean. Well, yeah, and no risk, because it came up again, it comes up from other people. Lab 51. Norris tries uh to pass Pias Street and goes in the grass. Remember?
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Norris radio, he pushed me off. That's really dangerous.
SPEAKER_01And he didn't. Uh Norris went for a gap that wasn't really there.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Um lab 52. Antonelli is during at one point during lab 52, Antonelli was 1.1 seconds in front of George. At another point during lab 52, he was 1.8 seconds in front of George.
SPEAKER_02Yep. Well pressure tires.
SPEAKER_04Um, then Piastri's radio came on. Clean racing, please. Clean racing. That's all right. Yeah. Lab 53, the next lap, he was two and a half seconds in front. And I wrote, take it easy, kid, because he was scaring me. I was I was getting a little nervous that he was gonna end up off the track.
SPEAKER_01He only knows how to drive one way.
SPEAKER_04He crazy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So the the final um 10 finishers were Antonelli, woo-hoo, Russell verspin, Piastri North.
SPEAKER_01No, I think Norris has Piastri.
SPEAKER_04Hold on, let me go back. Maybe I maybe I got that wrong because I wrote that because I just looked at the results.
SPEAKER_01Yes, Norris was fourth.
SPEAKER_04Oh. Oh, yeah, okay. I have that in my final results. It's just not what I wrote in my notes when the race ended. Um Hamilton Gasley, Linblad, Cola Pinto Sonoda.
SPEAKER_01Uh Sonoda made it back up, huh?
SPEAKER_04So, yeah, Sonoda ended up in 10th. Gotta give him some credit there. Linblad looks great. Regularly finishing in the points lately. Um I don't know what what happened to Blossom.
SPEAKER_01He had some tussles with Alkenberg and stuff, and he's down there pretty far.
SPEAKER_04Well, we'll go through. We'll go through where everybody finished. So Antonelli's radio was fun. Poor's like Kimmy.
SPEAKER_01Lawson finished 14th.
SPEAKER_04Okay. So Kimmy's radio, Kimmy, it's like a dream. He said it's like a dream, and then Bono said, Don't worry, we'll give you a pinch when you get back. We'll give you a pinch when you get back. Toto said some something about being an Italian hero and not liking the last one.
SPEAKER_01Like, I have no idea what he said.
SPEAKER_04I think he brought up like the bad result from last year. Like, Toto, why would you do that? And then we get a little girl. Was it Kimmy's sister?
SPEAKER_01I think so.
SPEAKER_04Um, and then we thought it was cute because right afterward, Max walked up to Kimmy's dad and hugged him.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I mean, it was a nice moment. Unexpected.
SPEAKER_04I don't remember what the commentary was at this point, but I have a note that just says, Alex Jakes, shut up.
SPEAKER_01Because he wouldn't stop talking. And he was saying something everything sounds so dramatic.
SPEAKER_04He was saying something like last year, when all the teams were trying to sign Kimmy, but Mercedes had a plan and they gave up on Verstappen to make this future. What are you talking about? Stop rewriting history. Nobody was trying to get Kimmy.
SPEAKER_01The guy likes to hear his own voice.
SPEAKER_04Exactly, but also it wasn't even true. They had nothing to do with but shut up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I oh my gosh. Um he's just annoying. I wish he would get fired.
SPEAKER_04I know. I just he just annoys me like crazy. The stupid things that come out of his mouth.
SPEAKER_01I mean, well, they should they should move him to IndyCar and bring back Buxton. Because I can't stand Buxton in IndyCar. Right. He doesn't belong there.
SPEAKER_04Right.
SPEAKER_01Okay, he was good in Formula One. Switch those two.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Please.
SPEAKER_04I could see it. I can do it.
SPEAKER_01Because I don't care about IndyCar.
SPEAKER_04Right. Um so the only there there was a whole bunch of talk from the cooldown room that they showed us, you know, but the only part I thought was cute was when Kimmy was talking about how scary it was to start in the back.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. He said that first lap was uh kind of hairy.
SPEAKER_04When he said they thought he thought they were gonna massively crash. Yeah. So he's not used to that.
SPEAKER_01Which they used to do a lot, and they've been really clean, especially this year. First laptop. Oh, yeah, there haven't been a lot of happened. You know, first corner crashes used to be a common theme.
SPEAKER_04Um was it just me, or did the crowd boo George when they were?
SPEAKER_01Oh no, the crowd booed George.
SPEAKER_04Okay, I thought so.
SPEAKER_01Now I don't agree with no, and they shouldn't have.
SPEAKER_04I mean I mean I don't like George, but don't boo him.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_04Cheer him because he didn't beat Kimmy.
SPEAKER_01You know? Right.
SPEAKER_04Um I just think that's it's mean. Um, okay, then you pointed out the stupid trophy.
SPEAKER_01Oh god, the the stacked dishware.
SPEAKER_04And I thought you were kidding, because you go, what the fuck? I mean, excuse me. What is up with that trophy?
SPEAKER_01Well, some world-renowned artist came up with this. He just looked in his sink and saw dirty dishes.
SPEAKER_04You said it looks like kitchenware. I was like, be quiet. And then I looked, and it's I was like, oh my god, you're right.
SPEAKER_01There's a coffee cup, there's two cups stacked with a couple bowls stacked on it.
SPEAKER_04So we looked it up, and it it is titled Fragile.
SPEAKER_01No, it's titled Stupid.
SPEAKER_04And it is a tall, precarious stack of cups and small bowls balanced on top of one another.
SPEAKER_01Why? What does that have to do with the Formula One? Racing.
SPEAKER_04It was commissioned by Pirelli.
SPEAKER_01Well, I don't somebody get a tire.
SPEAKER_04Uh and dishware, come on. Okay, it says the fragile appearance is intentional. The artist said it symbolizes how success in F1 is temporary and must be earned again race after race, while also representing the collective effort of the team, fans, and everyone behind the driver.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, give me some of that dope smoking.
SPEAKER_04Okay, then here, in short, the trophy looks like a shiny tower of stacked kitchenware, and fans have been calling it everything from art to the strangest F1 trophy ever.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's stupid.
SPEAKER_04It's like somebody made this thing, and then they were like, here, come up with a way to explain how these dishes are associated with formula.
SPEAKER_01Like I said, they grabbed his head, turned it to the left, and looked into his sink and go, there's my trophy.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, no, very dumb. Very dumb.
SPEAKER_01Get rid of that crap.
SPEAKER_04Um, okay, so really quick, we're gonna go through who did what, and then um we'll do our master class, disaster class, etc. I just want to point out one thing on lap 15. What the heck did Jolian say?
SPEAKER_02Oh well.
SPEAKER_04He said something like, he was talking about Antonelli getting in front, and he said, Yeah, but if you get in front, you're the man causing a parachute and having to go over the fence. Was he talking about the Laguna Seca crash?
SPEAKER_01Oh, maybe.
SPEAKER_04I wonder.
SPEAKER_01No. We'll get to the Laguna Seca.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we will talk about that.
SPEAKER_01I made a note too, but basically he's I don't understand why he came up with the word parachute. That does not make a sense. It's basically you get in front, you're the car that has to cut the hole in the wind.
SPEAKER_04You're the one fighting it, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_04Well, that makes sense, but I didn't know what happened to go over the fence, man.
SPEAKER_01Me neither. Um so needless to say, there was a pretty horrific crash yesterday at Laguna Seca in the Porsche Cup race.
SPEAKER_04Um Manuel Gil, it's probably Hill, it's probably how you pronounce it. Manuel Gill del Real.
SPEAKER_01Right. So he's in his Porsche coming up the hill to enter the famous corkscrew, which they dedicated as the Zenardi turn this week. Lost his brakes, never even made the first turn of the corkscrew, cut like the apex, hit the curb, launched airborne, went straight across the track, hit the fence, which flipped the car over into the trees.
SPEAKER_04It was terrifying looking crash. Um car broke into pieces.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_04He was airlifted out, right? And they say today he is conscious and stable.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_04And it sounds like he's gonna be okay. Hopefully. Thank God. But then you had the video from the other side of the hill, which was crazy because you're just watching cars on the track and suddenly something comes flying through the trees.
SPEAKER_01You see parts flying above the trees, yeah. Like wheels and suspension pieces. You couldn't see the crash happen or anything, you just see parts flying all over.
SPEAKER_04Well, it's just odd how that weird comment from Jolian kind of makes sense. You become a parachute and fly over the fence.
SPEAKER_01Well, I don't know how you made the correlation here. I don't even think Jolian was trying to make that correlation.
SPEAKER_04I'm sure he wasn't. Okay, so let's just uh Lawson started in 22nd, finished in 14th.
SPEAKER_01So I guess he's not bad, but you had three cars drop out, so yeah.
SPEAKER_04Alonzo started in 21st, boomed in 21st.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04Uh Albon started in 20th, finished in 17th. Antonelli started in 19th, finished in first.
SPEAKER_01Yes, record.
SPEAKER_04Stroll started in 18th, boomed in 20th. Perez started in 17th, finished in 18th.
SPEAKER_01It's actually able to lose places.
SPEAKER_04Started in 16th, finished in 19th.
SPEAKER_02Oof.
SPEAKER_04Sunoda did not have a bad day. Started in 15th, finished in 10th. So he climbed five places. He's actually our second best mover of the day with the most climbs.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no. Wait.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I'll go through the rest. There's nobody bigger. 18, 5, and 4 are the only big up. Lawson spirk? Lawson started in 22nd.
SPEAKER_00Where'd he finish?
SPEAKER_04Oh, he did.
SPEAKER_00Okay, wait.
SPEAKER_04I have him, I had that down wrong. I have him as so it's eight. Okay, so Lawson got eight. I I'm sorry, I had that as a DNF.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, thank you.
SPEAKER_04Um okay, where am I? Ota, Sonoda, Ocon. Ocon started in 14th, finished in 16th.
SPEAKER_01He did not have the new Ferrari engine. Behrman did.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01Well neither Cadillac had the new Ferrari engine.
SPEAKER_04Behrman started in 10th and finished in 15th. So much for that. Signs started in 13th, finished in 13th. Hulk started in 12th, finished in 12th. Behrman, like I said, started in 11th, finished in 15th. Bordoletto started in 10th. Finished in 11th. Bordoletto was very down after the race.
SPEAKER_02Really?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I guess he made some mistakes or something, but he was very the team gave me a good car, and I'm upset that I couldn't do more. And you know, it has to be hard because his teammate got so much attention this weekend with Gasly getting pulled.
SPEAKER_01That's not Bordoletto, that's Cola Pinto.
SPEAKER_04That's Cola Pinto, you're right. So I'm trying to picture, was it Cola Pinto or Bordeletto? I saw in the interview. That was so sad. It's Bordeletto.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Lindblad started in ninth, finished in eighth.
SPEAKER_02Good Charlie.
SPEAKER_04Uh V Carb's having a good couple of weeks. Norris started in eighth, finished in fourth. Not bad for McLaren finished up the weekend.
SPEAKER_01I'm wondering if at the end of the race that they did swap positions, which would be right because Lando, with the previous two races, has shown himself he could possibly be a contender in this championship. Possibly. I mean, he's still behind Lewis and George.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. But I mean he'd really have to come on the show.
SPEAKER_01There might have been a little team order there, which makes sense.
SPEAKER_04I mean, I team order letting Norris get in front of Piestri at the end, you mean? Yes. Yeah, maybe.
SPEAKER_01I don't know if they even showed the pass. If it was legit or not.
SPEAKER_04I don't really think so. It just kind of was set at the end. So um Cole Pinto started in seventh, finished in ninth. So still finished in points.
SPEAKER_01And then he went off the track. I need to um during that one restart when he made it up to third, he was racing with Max and this and that. And then he kind of I think he went off the track pretty much the same place that uh LeClerc did.
SPEAKER_04Um it was Cola Pinto who was so disappointed in himself today. Because Gasly had such a good car. And it's gotta be hard because aren't they aren't they like classmates? Not classmates, but you know what I mean, of Antonelli. It's gotta suck. It's gotta suck to watch this kid being so great.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but that goes for every anybody racing, really. Somebody's gotta win, somebody's gotta lose.
SPEAKER_04I know, I know. But when they're your same age, you know, it's just that jealousy has to just eat you alive.
SPEAKER_01Sure. But even for the race, Cole Pinnell made his way all the way up to third at one point.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, he was up there in the middle of it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It's hey, Alpine, they're both coming up. They're both there. They're both, I mean, it's getting exciting. I mean, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Who would have figured they would have had a pole position?
SPEAKER_04Nobody. Nobody. Piastri started in sixth, finished in fifth. Uh Restappen started in fifth, finished in third. Hamilton started in fourth, finished in sixth.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04LeClaire started in third, dumped, finished in 22nd. In a big way. Russell started in second, finished in second, and Gasly started in first, finished in seventh, which I think is as good as Gasly could have done. I mean, I think he finished where he belonged.
SPEAKER_01Alpine was definitely overachieving this weekend.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah. Without a doubt. He had a awesome weekend. Um, looked really good. But so let's do. Well, actually, let's just talk for a second. What do we think is happening at Ferrari this week?
SPEAKER_01Not good things. I don't know. It's they really need to get their house in order.
SPEAKER_04Who is at fault with what happened today? I mean, it was it was it it's a first lap incident.
SPEAKER_01It's a legitimate racing line that LeClerc took by pushing Hamilton wide. However, you really shouldn't do that to your teammate.
SPEAKER_04But should your teammate defer to you if you were there?
SPEAKER_01LeClerc could have given him a little bit more room and still stayed in front.
SPEAKER_04And could Hamilton have given Leclerc a little more room?
SPEAKER_01No, not at that point. Well, when Hamilton made his move, he took the inside of that first round and he gave Leclerc plenty of room. Leclerc never left the track, he didn't push him off the track. So he it's just when then they came out of the second turn, Leclerc's like, and you can see in the replay, he's this way and he does open the wheel up to let his car drift out more. Squeeze.
SPEAKER_04I mean, they didn't have any damage or anything.
SPEAKER_01No, but you shouldn't do that to your teammate. Right. Now, if it was Max Verstappen trying to pass him, yes. It was Leila Norris trying to pass him, yes. That is his right to do that. Just you shouldn't really do that to your own teammate, especially your teammate that's kind of in the championship fight. Well, things can happen, yes.
SPEAKER_04He just made a couple of wins and he's back in the fight, but you can't have weekends like this.
SPEAKER_01My god, is anybody gonna beat Antonelli after what we saw today?
SPEAKER_04It was amazing.
SPEAKER_01Amazing, but don't count the McLaren's out. Everybody said this was not gonna be a good track for McLaren.
SPEAKER_04And nobody knows what to expect next week, and we'll get there.
SPEAKER_01Well, true, because nobody's raced there yet.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01Um, okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Masterclass.
SPEAKER_02Um, Peter.
SPEAKER_04You could give it to Peter if you wanted.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, we gotta go with Kimmy.
SPEAKER_04Kimmy. I gotta say that anybody, Pierre Gasley, Cola Pinto, Lynnblad, all these people who aren't usually up in the front and everything, I think they did a great job. Today there is a lot of movement of cars, right? And the more passing you get, The more opportunity there is to hit cars. And I think that shows that they're great race drivers, is that they can pass each other constantly and not cause accidents.
SPEAKER_01True. But someone who comes from 19th and wins the race has to get master class.
SPEAKER_04Yes, I agree. Disaster class. I believe we could say it in Unison, shall we?
SPEAKER_01Leclair. Who's Unison? Unison. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_04LeCharles Leclerc.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well.
SPEAKER_04The clump. The clump today.
SPEAKER_01So stupid.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't know. Radio check. You got a favorite radio message?
SPEAKER_01Kimmy.
SPEAKER_04Which one?
SPEAKER_01Um, when they basically said, okay, no more yo-yoing.
SPEAKER_04Oh, and he's like, Oh, you just want me to sit behind him?
SPEAKER_01When he's like, uh you might want to tell him what was he doing the whole time.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01You just want me to sit behind him now?
SPEAKER_04I liked we'll give you a pinch. I liked when Kimmy said it feels like a dream.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_04Um, because it's fun that you can win six races, and then this one is so much so exciting because it's at home and um you just took Ferrari out.
SPEAKER_01He didn't take Ferrari out.
SPEAKER_04I know he didn't. Um, Stratmaster.
SPEAKER_01Again, you gotta go with Mercedes with their tire changes with Kimmy.
SPEAKER_04I don't think you can say Mercedes. You have to say Kimmy.
SPEAKER_01I don't think well, but now I have two.
SPEAKER_04I have Kimmy and Max. Right. I think they were smart to change their tires.
SPEAKER_01Right. Now, my question, which they even alluded to a little bit Juan Pablo after, is like, why did George not change tires? He's the lead card, he should be given preference, which is true. Did George decline to take tires? I mean, but also at that point, George was on a different strategy because he was on hards, right? And Kimmy was on mediums. They could have brought George in to change tires and left Kimmy out. I don't know.
SPEAKER_04But we and we all we don't know if George had a say in that or not. I don't agree that the lead driver in the race should be it's always been I think the reason I think Kimmy should be driver number one now. It once he hits 100 points, then do we say okay, he's driver number one?
SPEAKER_01Maybe, but all teams, whatever drivers in the lead of the race, in or in position of that particular race, not points overall, it's usually their option what if they want to pit first or second, whatnot. So if you George was given the option to take tires, and he chose not to.
SPEAKER_04And even if they did and they double stacked, they're still coming out together at the same time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but they were right on tail, so Kimmy would have lost a lot of time waiting for George's car to be serviced.
SPEAKER_04Perhaps. And they both ended up on the podium.
SPEAKER_00So I don't know.
SPEAKER_04There were a whole lot of people out there with 52 lap old tires, which was just kind of insane. And I we we did we didn't check. I think they chose the wrong tires for the race. Because you Perelli chose the wrong compounds, because I don't feel like a tire compound should last 50 laps to keep the race interesting.
SPEAKER_01I don't know which compounds they actually use. Did they use the softest tires?
SPEAKER_04I'm not sure. Yeah, if they were C C6, 5, and 4, there's nothing more they could do.
SPEAKER_01Right. I um and I don't even know how to look at them.
SPEAKER_04I can find it in a second. Well, I'll just have to make you talk about something.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, you want to talk about the dog, cat, strat Snafu.
SPEAKER_04Who you got on Strat Snafu?
SPEAKER_01Oh my did anybody really make a bad strategy decision? I don't know. I mean, who you got? Let me see if I can.
SPEAKER_04I have George Russell and Ferrari.
SPEAKER_01It's easy just to go Ferrari. Yeah. I mean, I don't know if there was any bad strategy. Well, I'll give it to Ferrari on that, because Lewis was on medium tires. How are you supposed to take medium tires that whole distance? I can understand leaving George out on the hards. Mediums, that's more of a gamble. Obviously, he wasn't the only one to take the mediums that far, but I'll go with Ferrari.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Um Ferrari needs to figure something out.
SPEAKER_01Right. Because Lewis could have been on hards, because the Ferraris both started on soft tires today.
SPEAKER_04Today the three tires were the C3, C4, and C5.
SPEAKER_01So they had one softer compound they could have gone.
SPEAKER_04So they could have gone four, five, six.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04Oh, wait. No, they don't have the C6 anymore.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_04They used that for one or two races last year.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_04Right? And then it went away. So they were on the softest tires. Amazing. I wonder what it is about, given that it was so hot, what is it about the track surface at Monza that makes it so gentle on tires?
SPEAKER_01Because it's a high speed course. Okay. So they don't get as much you're not actually. You're running less down force, so you're not scrub, you're not scrubbing the tires as well.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Interesting. Um, so yes, strap snafu. I said Ferrari and George driving the tires for 51 laps. I don't think that I think George probably would have run the won the race had he pitted it.
SPEAKER_01George likes to run those tires long, though.
SPEAKER_04He does.
SPEAKER_01He almost got that win.
SPEAKER_04Yep, and I'm okay with it because I love this outcome.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_04So I don't know if they're showing the pit stop time yet because let's quickly go through our fantasy. So for my fantasy, I mentioned to everybody that I had um gotten rid of Max finally, and I had Kimmy and George as my drivers. I put 2x on Kimmy, and then my extra teams were Ferrari and Audi. I got 185 points. Well, at least provisional points. I don't think the finals are up yet.
SPEAKER_01And well, you got me on that.
SPEAKER_04134 were for Kimmy.
SPEAKER_01Well, I have 177 points.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_01I as well have Kimmy as my driver with two X. And I had Lewis, which I pretty much had these guys. And then I got a bunch of nobodies because I have zero dollars reserved. Ferrari is one of my teams, which hurt Leclerc going.
SPEAKER_04Nine whole points for Ferrari.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I need to get rid of them. Ugh. I just don't know what I can do with them. I'll have to really play around with this.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I mean, Kimmy was just amazing. So um that was that. And then for predict, okay, we have our podium. I had predicted George, Hamilton, and LeClaire.
SPEAKER_01So George Hamilton, the actor?
SPEAKER_04George in first, Hamilton in second, and LeClaire in third.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Um and I had predicted Hamilton for the win, Lando in second, Antonelli up to third.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so I got a whole five points for getting George on the podium. And you got 20 points for getting Kimmy. For getting Kimmy on the podium. That's a much bigger call. Pole position, I had chosen LeClaire.
SPEAKER_01I chose George.
SPEAKER_04Nobody chose Gasly.
SPEAKER_01No, I bet you nobody in all of Fantasyland chose Gasly.
SPEAKER_04Yep. Okay, so who qualifies highest? Cola Pinto or Gazly? I picked Cola Pinto.
SPEAKER_01I took Gasly because I had a feeling we would do so well.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, good on you. You got 10 points for that. How many teams into Q3?
SPEAKER_01We both said six.
SPEAKER_04Yep, ten points. Fastest pit stop. We both said V Carb.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04We don't know the answer. We believe there were only three pit stops in this race.
SPEAKER_01Legitimate pit stops, yeah.
SPEAKER_04There was a Williams pit stop, a Red Bull pit stop, and a Mercedes pit stop.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_04I have never seen Mercedes win the pit stop time. And I know that the Williams pit stop was 4.4 seconds.
SPEAKER_01I mean, there was probably a couple others during the race. You know, Cadillac probably came in.
SPEAKER_04I don't know. I don't know. So many people had like really old tires.
SPEAKER_01We never got the whole big race on the pit stop.
SPEAKER_04And they're still not showing us the fastest right now.
SPEAKER_01And so they would because only there's so few. Right.
SPEAKER_04There were three of them. Who did the fastest? Anyway.
SPEAKER_01But we both took the same team, so it won't make a difference.
SPEAKER_04It wouldn't make a difference in our points.
SPEAKER_01With our intrafamilial battle.
SPEAKER_04Exactly.
SPEAKER_01Um intra familial.
SPEAKER_04How many safety cars will there be? I said two.
SPEAKER_01I said one.
SPEAKER_04There were two, so I got ten points. Aston Martin versus Williams, who's gonna be better?
SPEAKER_01I should have known better. I took Aston Martin thinking they might score a point again.
SPEAKER_04Me too. Zero.
SPEAKER_01Well dumb. That's a disaster class.
SPEAKER_04Most positions gained. What will be the most positions gained? This was a question aimed at do you think Kimmy's getting up there?
SPEAKER_01Well, that's what it said specifically in the question. Oh, it did. This is Kimmy Anthony engine penalties will force the Italian start from the back of the grid.
SPEAKER_04Okay. I did I just said 10.
SPEAKER_01I said greater than 12.
SPEAKER_04And you did, and it was 18.
SPEAKER_01It was 20 points for the greater than 12. But I also put my 2x on that.
SPEAKER_04Yep.
SPEAKER_01So I got it.
SPEAKER_04So you got 40 points for that. Um, fastest lap. I said Kimmy, you said Kimmy.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04You got 10 points, I got 20, because I put my 2x on that one. Big deal. And the number of qualified finishers.
SPEAKER_01Oh, we both said 17, right?
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh. And the answer was 19. So we got a big fat zero. So according to our calculations, I got 25 points and you got 50.
SPEAKER_01That's it.
SPEAKER_04On predict. Yeah, that's a that was a bad week.
SPEAKER_01I got no, it's gotta be better than that. Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait.
SPEAKER_04I can't do this math. Hold on a second. Let me. Sorry, you got ninety.
SPEAKER_03Thank you.
SPEAKER_04I'm like and I got because I put in 10 times two and twenty times two when I put it in there, so it didn't calculate those. So I got 45 points and you got 90.
SPEAKER_01See? Nice. I'm a prediction wizard.
SPEAKER_03Very, very good. Very good. Okay. Is there anything else about today's race to talk about?
SPEAKER_04It has been 60 years.
SPEAKER_0160.
SPEAKER_04Since an Italian won the Italian Grand Prix.
SPEAKER_0160 years no more.
SPEAKER_04Congratulations, Kimmy.
SPEAKER_01Good job.
SPEAKER_04Um, next Sunday, we September 13th, we have the Spanish Grand Prix at the Majring in Madrid. First time we're seeing this track. Is it done?
SPEAKER_01It must be. I sure hope so.
SPEAKER_04Because I know they were struggling. There were some questions about whether it would be ready. New street course, right?
SPEAKER_01No, it's a dedicated track.
SPEAKER_04It is? Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. There might be a lot. There might be one. There might be one little section through some streets.
SPEAKER_04But it's a oh, of course it's a road. Of course it's a road.
SPEAKER_01It's a purpose-built track.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. But I meant like never mind. It's not an oval. Why would it be uh yeah, no, not um I thought I swear to god I thought it was gonna be a street course.
SPEAKER_01I think it's it might be a combination, actually.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Well, I guess we'll we we will do our preview either Tuesday the 8th or Wednesday the 9th, and we'll have much more information about the track for that.
SPEAKER_01Much.
SPEAKER_04Whatever we can find.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04Yep. So is that it?
SPEAKER_01Is that a fun week?
SPEAKER_04Well, that was a good week. Ten out of ten. Yay!
SPEAKER_01I liked it.
SPEAKER_04I enjoyed it. Kimmy Antonelli pray for us.
SPEAKER_01Kimmy for Pope.
SPEAKER_04Kimmy for Pope. Uh the signs that were in the stands. Kimmy for presidents. And they had the Italian flag, and then I don't know what the other one was.
SPEAKER_01I don't know.
SPEAKER_04The other flag was. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Maybe we should get rid of MBS and put Kimmy in that position.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Well, I would be able to no. I wouldn't watch Kimmy race for a few years.
