Hello and welcome to the Unqualified Podcast with Leon Wilson. That's me. Thank you for stopping by and the support that you've given me and the amount of time that y'all have watched the programs and and the different episodes. And their families' lives. And the um the position of father is uh something that we should all be uh grateful to be able to step in that role. But also for those who found themselves stepping into that role and and really didn't plan on doing so, and in just being good stewards of what the Lord has allowed you to be able to do. And I I said it this morning about how the chief role of a father is to minister in the home first and and then work your way out. I preached on um Mark chapter 15, um verse 20, verse 21, where Jesus is being led to Galgotha, and they stop and find Simon, who is a Cyrene, who's the father of Rufus and Alexander, and um and he and compel him to bear the cross. And and so um and how that impact um had had an impact on on uh Simon himself, but also on Simon's family. And there's you can look in Romans chapter um 16 that that Rufus is mentioned and and his mama's mentioned. Um we don't know what happened to Simon, we don't know how what happened to Alexander, but you know that that verse in and of itself is is a heavy proof and and evidence that that household got saved because of Simon carried Jesus Christ uh cross. And and so as uh, you know, when you look at something like that and you see the impact that the gospel has on a family, and uh you see the impact that you know family should have on on the gospel or with the gospel and and the fact that you know a father laid down his life effectively and and went and helped the king of kings and lord of lords carry his cross up to where he would be sacrificed for all of our sins, and and then went home and and I pondered on that. I pondered on how that conversation must have gone. And you can look at the uh um the church live stream, it's mercy church packlet on Facebook and uh P-A-C-O-L-E-T. But you can look on the on that Facebook um stream, live stream, and see how I presented that. Um, it's the same way the Lord showed it to me in my mind. Um, but I presented it in kind of like a dramatic way um or a dramatized way of how it must have seemed or must have looked when uh Simon got home and his wife saw the blood that he got from the cross, carrying that cross, um, because it it had to have been bloody. And how he got it on his clothes, you know, Simon, why are you okay? And and you know, whose blood is this? And and how Simon must have had that conversation with his wife and explained to her why he came home bloody. Um, but the question that I asked the congregation, and I asked this to you right now, is what evidence do you have that you've been with Jesus? And that's a stiff question, um, and and it should be. What evidence is there that you have Christ in your life? What evidence is there that you have met Jesus at the cross? What evidence is there that he affects your life, that he's changed your life, that he's operating in your life, and that you are not of your own, you were bought with a price? And is there evidence that that transaction has taken place? And if there isn't, then you have to have um you have to have that internal conversation and and get to the bottom of why you are not showing evidence that you're saved. And uh if you are saved, then there'll be there'll be evidence. Like there's there's gonna be um signs that you are saved. And don't get me wrong, if you know, we start thinking about this whole, you know, are you saved by your works and all this other stuff where you gotta you gotta do certain things to stay saved? Uh, I disagree with all that. I I do not subscribe to that mentality. I think it's a very toxic mentality, um, and and all that. What I will say is this that when my Bible says you're saved unto good works, then it means exactly what it says. There will be signs, there will be something that shows that you're not like this world, that you are different from this world, that you're saved unto good works, which means you're doing good things that because I'm saved, it makes me want to be a um uh to effect positive change in this world that I live in. That said, you know, there's there's a lot of Christians who they get saved and all they want to do is warm up a pew and and if they want to go to church and and you know that's it. They're just that back row mentality, and they're there to check a box. And that's a that's a dangerous situation to uh to find yourself in. And here's why I say that because you are not influencing yourself at that point to stay in that mentality, you're influencing the next generation and those around you to be a stagnant, washed up Christian who is not affecting positive change. Sure, the minimum you need to do is is come to faith in in knowledge of Jesus Christ and and believe with you know believe on him, confess with your mouth, and and you're saved. Sure, you can stop right there, you can warm up a pew, or you can go hang out on the couch until the day you take your last breath. Sure, you can do that. Absolutely. Why not? But why would you? Like that's what bothers me about modern day Christianity is that we find ourselves just wanting to do the bare minimum for Christ when He paid it all for us. Like you you're okay with you know just going and and holding down that pew and not being a part of this church, not sharing the gospel, not sharing your testimony, not um, you know, being the salt and light of this world, and and that sits okay with you. Like that just I I don't see how someone can want to do that. I question whether or not you're saved. And you need to make that right. But then there's the other people who they can't do enough. And and that's how I always I always feel like I'm not doing enough. Like there's gotta be something more I can do. And um, and and that's probably not that's probably the opposite, you know, and I'm sure it it leads to some things that have you know cause a little bit more problems or more trouble than you know than I would like to um imagine. But I think that somewhere in the middle there is someone who, you know, just wants to be about their father's business. So where you know, where do you find yourself? What's the evidence that you're saved? And and Jesus said it like this, you shall know them by their fruits. And there's some people who do their best not to bear fruit. I just don't want to, I'm nobody's role model, I don't want to bear any fruit. And I I worry about that. I do. I think that that's a very toxic way to be, and and we have to pray about that. And we have to get, you know, we have to pray for the Lord to change that. That said, um, I did want to talk um march on on to a different top topic here, and and it's so far uh in left field, and uh I don't want to spend the rest of the broadcast talking about it. I just want to touch on it because it it needs to be talked about. And that is the subject of um the UFOs and aliens and all this other stuff that the government's talking about. Um so the government, quote unquote, has admitted that there are entities or whatever in our um that are on our planet that are um that they say are are from interdimensional or outside of our solar system or something like that. And in a lot of cases, they they're so vague about what they say that it's hard to tell what they are saying. And you know, folks ask me what I think about it all and and all that other stuff, and and I keep my finger on the pulse of a lot of things, and and here's why. Because I'm not gonna get caught slipping when I can when I can help it. Here's my stance on this. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, and that was that. And there is nothing that was created that wasn't created by him, and and that's Bible. So here's you know, here's the bottom line. When when you look at the walk in ministry of Jesus Christ as he walked on this planet, Jesus did not say, hey, there are you know other worlds and all this other stuff. He didn't say anything like that. And had it been within the scope of um, you know, the the Christianity and what we should believe, um, I I don't believe he would have left that out in a way that um leaves too much in the question that could um damage people's faith. But he did talk a lot about spirits, he did talk a lot about demons, he did talk a lot about us and the devil. And this is this is my stance on that until further notice. Any kind of we'll call it anything that we see in this plane of existence that is unexplainable is either a good spirit or a bad spirit, good angel, bad angel, demon or angel. And and you um you can and I'm not saying that there aren't things that we haven't discovered on this planet or even in in around the planet, but when it comes to animals, critters, creatures, birds, you know, all these other things, um, I believe that if it was created, it had to have been created by God. And either it fell with Lucifer or it lives and is in its um, we'll call it in within its um function, proper function. A tree is a tree, and a tree that is outside of its proper function dies and and um can get corrupted and and all this other. Um and that's why you walk around and you see rotten trees, or you see trees that have died and and have been becoming uh become almost like stone and and all that. Like either A, you're good, or B, you're bad. Either you are within your proper function, or B, you are corrupted. And and that's that's that. So um when it comes to aliens and all that kind of stuff, I believe that it's all spiritual. Um there are there some other things that we, you know, physical things that we might not have discovered yet. Absolutely. I'm not so I'm not so uh arrogant to say that I understand everything on this planet. I'm not so arrogant to to say that there's an answer that man has understood on this planet. That's not what I'm saying. In this realm of existence, I do believe, just like Paul mentioned, you know, that about the principalities and powers of the air and all this other stuff, that there are things that are in that are in a plane of existence that we have not seen yet. This Bible mentions a whole bunch of things. And and I believe that if it is mentioned in this Bible, then this it is the truth. And I believe that sometimes when we see the truth in uh in a way that we have not understood the truth before, that it can scare us, that there can be a lot of questions, that we we may not like the answers that we get, but it doesn't mean that the answer's not in that Bible. And it certainly doesn't mean that it's taking God by surprise. God is not up there scratching his head, wondering what's happening on this planet, wondering what we're gonna do about it, and all this other stuff. God has spoken the end from the beginning, knows all the things that are going on in our lives in this world and then outside of the planet. Those astronauts who went to the moon, there was an atheist on that uh on that uh ship. And and by the time he got back, he got saved because he understood by the time he got up there and everything, and by the end of that that um mission, he was like, What I saw can only be explained in that there is a God. So you sit wherever you're at, you're listening wherever you're from, and and all that, and whatever language that you're listening in. And let me give you a just a little bit of um of encouragement that none of this is taking God by surprise. All of this is explainable, and it's explainable in this context. There is no neutral spirit, there is spirits that are uh doing their function, are about their father's business, and there are those that are corrupted, that have fallen and are not doing what they they were designed and created to do. Um, and let me just go ahead and bring all that back home. Here's your here's my question for you, challenge for the rest of this week. Are you doing exactly what you're designed to do? Are you outside of your normal function? Are you not functioning the way that you should function? Let's stop thinking about the things that we cannot have an impact on or positively affect whatever changes we need to make. Let's concentrate on the things that we can affect positively. Let's concentrate on the ground that we do need to make up and let's make that ground up. Let's push in the right direction and be about our father's business. Let's not worry about the things we can't explain right now. Let's not get caught up in all the crazy stuff and lost in the sauce. It let's stick to what we know is the facts. And the fact is that God created this world. And when man fell, man fell, and God already had a rescue mission in mind. He sent Jesus on that rescue mission to save your soul and mine. He bankrupted heaven because he gave everything he had. He gave us Jesus. Jesus came to this planet to save our souls. While he was on this planet, he did a bunch of miracles and everything else. And he ascended to, he died for our sins and uh rose again the third day, ascended to the right hand of God the Father. That's where he's at right now. He's our advocate in heaven, making intercession on our behalf. So when you pray and you pray, Lord, save my soul. I believe I'm a sinner. I know I'm a sinner, but I know that you died, I know that you sent Jesus to die for my sins. Come into my heart, make me a new creature, help me to live the rest of my life to glorify you. And and I'm telling you right now, when you when you pray that and you believe it, you gotta believe it. If you believe the gospel that Jesus was uh, that Jesus died for your sins, that's the Bible. That's what you should, that's that's what we need to believe. Everything else falls into place. And where we get confused, convoluted, and the water gets muddied is when we start throwing in a bunch of stuff that has zero value and and honestly, no context biblically. The day that trumpet sounds and we rise up and we meet Jesus in the air, I don't care what happens on earth. I don't care. I know that they're gonna do the best they possibly can to explain it away in whatever ways they possibly can. And the enemy knows that time is getting real close for Jesus to come back. That's that's why. Excuse me. That's why all this other stuff is happening because it's close to the end. And when that day comes and the trumpet shout uh sounds and and and the Lord sh descends from heaven with a shout and the voice of the archangel, I know for a fact the enemy has already got a plan to try to explain it away in such a way maybe they will say it's aliens or something else. Maybe they'll say all kinds of crazy stuff. And I don't care. Here's what I say if you're left behind, maybe you stumble upon this broadcast on YouTube or even the audio version, and you're like, I don't understand what I need to do. Let me make it real clear and real real simple for you. It's not over unless you've taken the mark of the beast. Excuse me. And if you have taken the mark of the beast, it is over for you. But help compel other people not to take the mark. And if you haven't taken the mark in your right hand or in your forehead, it's not too late. To trust Jesus Christ. You've got to believe in him. But if you haven't taken the mark, do not for the life of you. Even if it cost you your life, especially it will cost you your life or those around you. Don't do it. Because there's no way back. And part of loving you is telling you that you did not fail your family, as long as you keep them from taking that mark. But you needed to explain to them the gospel. What I just explained a minute ago about Jesus and his his rescue mission for us. Anyways, I love you. God loves you. This has been the Unqualified Podcast with Leon Wilson.
