Hello, and welcome to the Unqualified Pro Podcast with Leon Wilson. That's me. I just want to uh do a quick episode here to throw in the uh the hope that everybody needs right now. And uh and that is that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a power of love and a pat and of a sound mind. And uh oftentimes we allow fear to rule us and and to push us in in in directions that we otherwise wouldn't go. But more importantly, oftentimes fear, we allow it to keep us exactly where we are. And uh I preached on that today, and and you know, this is uh be a little bit shorter podcast than normal, but uh I want you to um take this into consideration, no matter where you are, no matter what you're doing, um, that the Lord loves you. And uh and part of him loving us is that we don't have to live as if we don't have hope. Um in I preached today on on how the uh the armies of Israel were were up in and set in array against um the Philistine armies, and and this is just before David slew Goliath. It's that same battle. But the uh the armies of of Israel, they were all scared, sore afraid. Even the king Saul, who was anointed to be the leader of of Israel, he was scared. And and that right there should resonate with us. That even these people who have seen God move in such miraculous and amazing ways, ways we couldn't explain and we couldn't understand, because uh, I mean, who are we to even try? But the the the truth is that during that time, these these people saw these God move in such physical, you know, huge ways, and and ways that would slay armies and and all these other things. And these same people were afraid because uh this big dude was was taunting them. But we all face giants. And we all face things that we see that seem like insurmountable odds. And the the problem is that we we don't see just how powerful and just how amazing our God is. And I mean, to that I say shame on us. Shame on us that we would think that that God has forsaken us, that God has led us into a uh a path that is a one-way ticket, and and that it's a um a mission that we are set up to fail because we're not. The truth is we act like it, but we're not. We have never been lost in the sauce, left out to dry. God has never done that to a single one of us. In fact, he sits ready to assist us. And he has provided for us in ways that we could probably not even number. But we we still allow our minds to get the bigger hand, the bet the better hand, the high ground, and talk us into thinking that we're lost in the sauce, that we don't have hope, that we don't have a God that that is the creator of the entire universe, that we are not fearfully and wonderfully made, that we do have to live in these prisons of fear and unforgiveness and shame and regret, that we are uh so um just left to our our own um will and ways and and our feeble attempts at at moving the needle. But you're not. Ever. He will never leave us, he'll never forsake us, he'll be with us even until the end of the world. And even in that time, then we get to see him face to face. Right now we see life as if we're looking in a foggy glass, foggy mirror, and we don't understand all the things that are going on because we can't, how could we? We we don't see the big picture. We want things our way, and when we don't get them, then we feel like uh God's let me down. No, God didn't let us down. We let him down because instead of looking at how he wants us to do and and and trying to seek his will for our life, we decide this is the way that we're gonna move forward, and it must be God's will because it's so good for us. And shame on us for that. Because, yeah, you know, I'm not saying don't ever want more, don't ever push for more, don't ever try to, you know, make forward progress, whatever that forward progress is. But where's God in all of it? That's the question. We're soon going to be having church in a building that is very quite possibly going to be our new building, and you know, the the whole time that we've been pushing forward in in this direction, even from when I was preaching under the carport. Um, and we hear all these other churches shutting down and closing the doors and and struggling financially and all these other things, and and it breaks my heart, especially to see preachers walk away from the mission, you know, and and what they're supposed to be doing and and the calling. And it breaks my heart to see that. But it's not lost on me that there's there's a very high likelihood that these people have veered one way or the other outside of God's will. So I ask that question where is God in all this? And it breaks my heart that no one can answer that. And we all should stand ready to answer that. I'm asking you. In the middle of your storm, where have you put God in all this? Is he in the in the you know, in that Bible in the vehicle right there in the rear view um windshield so that nobody wrecks or destroys your car or something like that? Is he in your back seat? Is he in the closet? You leave him on the counter. Do you check God at the door at church because you checked your box? I'm just saying. I think it it should break our hearts when we leave God out of our lives. Especially knowing that there's a high likelihood that we're gonna face some kind of disaster or something like that in our life. And I'm not saying like a you know, political or or even a terrorist attack or something like that. We're gonna face those. But I'm saying the disaster, like you lose somebody that you love. And then you question, well, God, why this? Why that? Why this? Oh, now you're talking to God. You might talk to him over your food, but do you talk to him daily? Do you talk to him when you on your way to work, on your way back from work, going to chow, going on your way back from chow? Do you talk to God when you, you know, you're eating, you know, your breakfast? And do you reach over, grab your spouse's hand when you're driving and just pray? Do you I'm I'm asking this, not from a high horse or anything like that. I'm asking this from the same ditch you're in sometimes. Is he you know, goodness gracious, where's God in the conversation? I worry about this country, I worry about the world, I worry about our missions that we're not grasping and pulling for every single soul to come to faith. And I think we should break every single one of our hearts is when we go just a few days without talking to somebody for the Lord, trying to win somebody to not go through what we know is coming. And it's not just up to the preachers. You see, I was on that side of the camera before. And I needed the same talk you're getting right now. If we feel like we're doing enough, we're not doing enough. But for you, who truly feel like you're not doing enough, keep pushing forward. It makes a difference. If we can share God's light, if we can share the light to just one person a day, that's one more person that gets to hear hope, love. And man, that's good stuff. Listen, I love you, God loves you.
