Hello and welcome to the Unqualified Podcast with Leon Wilson. That's me. I um man, I I'm on Cloud Nine right now. Um our church has been growing, um, and we've been we've been just praying and and seeking the Lord for whatever the next phase of of things will be. And um today we had service in a church that we had been in communication with um that had um well let me just put it like this they membership had dropping dropped off over the years and um and they were to the point where they were looking at closing the doors. And um so we had been talking to them, and then had I had requested that we have service there and to see how that would go. And um they the they being the members, the remaining members of the previous church, had uh agreed to do this, and so um today we had that service, and toward the end of the service, um the their chief member had um asked if he could speak at some point toward the end of the service, and I said, Yeah, absolutely. And so called him up there to speak, and um they're donating the building to us. Um, and so we're excited about that. And um my goodness, look at God. Um I preached today on the significance of the blood. Um, and and in that service, and you can look this up on uh Mercy Church. Uh currently it says Mercy Church Pacolit on Facebook and um and Mercy Church Life on YouTube, the um significance of blood, why blood is so important. And uh some of those characteristics are um are just phenomenal to uh to preach on. And um it's what any good Bible preaching preacher will will preach on and and and point out uh uh about the scripture. And so today I I was able to preach on that and the Lord laid it on my heart and um and we just rolled, man. Um and and it was just such a good service, and God was lifted up, glorified, and and the church was edified. There was some challenge um issued to the church and and all of that. And then of course they donated the church to us. Folks had prayed, the altar was being used, and um folks asked for prayer. And I mean, we had church, we had it was revival, it was wonderful, one just a powerful service. And I and I couldn't be more proud to be the pastor of Mercy Church, but anyways, the significance of blood uh and it travels through the Bible in in the conversation, um, you know, or in the in the message, the way it's delivered, the way the Lord gave it to me. And um and it it it discusses how um blood is is the source of um our vitality, it's in the blood. You cannot bleed, if you bleed out, you bleed to death. Um, and then the Bible strictly says, like, don't eat the blood in Leviticus is don't eat the blood because the life of the flesh is in the blood. And then um in Genesis 4, um, you see how when Cain killed Abel, that God told Cain, your brother's blood crieth out to me from the ground. And and so um, you know, it I point out in this message, and you can watch the whole message on um on the Facebook page of um Mercy Church, but I point out during that message that the the vitality is in the blood, and then also a point out you know that that is the limit of how important blood is, our blood, um, is is that our life is in our blood. But the source of vitality is the difference between Christ's blood and our blood. We have life-ish, you know, like we live, we breathe, we do whatever, we you know we have life, but we are not living. We are not, we don't have eternal life, we don't have spiritual life um outside of Jesus Christ. And so Jesus is the source of the vitality of our blood. Um, and nothing, I think, points this out even you know better than um when the Lord breathed into man his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. And so when you when you take into context the importance of our blood, you see that our blood, uh, you know, as fascinating as it is, is just ordinary. The extraordinary blood is actually in is Christ's blood, the fact that we are saved by um by grace through faith, and that draw nigh by the blood of Christ. And so because Christ is the source of vitality and it we're able to live on a whole new level. And because we believe we believe in him, we have eternal life. And that that changes the type of life that we have. I um, you know, I I will just digress on on this statement um here on that point. When eternity is a long time to be wrong. When you die, you will spend eternity in one of two places heaven or hell. If you go to hell, that's not the kind of eternal life you know you want. If you go to heaven, you don't get more alive than that. So the source of vitality is Christ. The second point, the characteristic of Christ's blood is that there's virtue in his blood. He he's the son of the living living God, he is fully man, fully God. He is um he is king of kings, lord of lords. He came on this rescue mission to save us, lived uh 33 sinless years, and then died on Calvary for us in order to pay a sin debt we could never pay um because we owed a debt we could we couldn't pay. We we have no way of paying for our own sin. The wages of sin is death. And so, uh, and since all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, then we all deserved eternal death. But Jesus paid that debt on the cross of Calvary so that we could have a way, and ain't that virtuous. Um and and I also point out that you know he healed a bunch of people, cured diseases, he um he rose folks from the dead and and all those things. And then when he died on Calvary, and and all that blood that had drained his heart was void of blood. And uh, and he, you know, how can you pump anything if the heart is a pump and it is, how can it pump anything if it's empty? Nothing was there to prime the pump. I also point out that there was a woman with an issue of blood. She was pushing through the crowd trying to find Jesus, and then finally she gets up toward him. She's already had had it in her mind, in her in her heart, that if she could just touch the hem of his garment, that she could be cured. And she pushes through the crowd and she touches clothes, and the virtue from his blood went through his skin, through his clothes, into her skin, through her skin, into her blood, and cleansed her blood. And he said, I perceive that someone has touched me because virtue is gone from me. Meaning that the source of virtue is the blood of Christ. She was cleansed. Ain't that something? So she's cleansed. Two thousand years after he died and rose again, ascended to God the Father, he's still saving people, like you and me. And it fascinates me. It should fascinate you. But the third point that I I had is is that you got the vitality, you got the virtue, also his blood is the source of victory. He rose from the dead, walked out of that tomb, that empty heart was pumping that miraculous blood through his body, and here he is, the savior, Christ, walking amongst us, even again, was seen by hundreds, and and he walked right into our heart. If you're saved. If you're not, you can't say that. But just like that young man that wrecked in front of my house the other day, and his car just burnt slab up. Aramedics are like, we don't even know how he got out of that car alive. And I got to lead him to Christ. After a day or so getting back on track, getting his mind right, I met up with him. He gave me a hug. We talked for a little bit, and he wanted to get saved. So I led him to Christ. The victory over sin, the victory over alcohol, the victory over drugs, the victory over depression, the victory over anxiety, the victory over gambling and all these other things, pornography and whatever other issues you got, um, you know, promiscuity and and all those kinds of things, the victory over all that stuff can be found in the blood of Christ. And we have access to it. You do. You do. Look no further than Christ. We're gonna meet tonight at Mercy Church and um and we're gonna talk about moving forward with this um this church that we that we're being donated in. I know we got a lot on our plates. It it just blows my mind how God took me from a carport, preaching under a carport, to sometimes three people, sometimes 15 people, and and all that. And it just blows my mind how how much he's doing in my life. But he's not done. And God's no respecter person, so he's not just doing it for me, he'll do it for you. And I think that what we you know, we as people, we get so hemmed up on all these details and and whatever that we we miss a lot of times the the big miracle type things that God's doing all the time all around us. I'm amazed at how many people like came visiting today. We had a lot of people visit. We filled that little church up. But I think my my biggest concern when it comes to people is we hold on to a lot of things we shouldn't. And you might be one of the people that need to let go of some things. I mean we all need to grow. We all do. My prayer is that God gives us the strength and the boldness to be able to grow and to not get stuck in in ruts that keep us from growth. Let me ask you this before I let you go. Are you where you need to be? Are you where you're supposed to be? Are you doing what you're supposed to be doing? Are you within the calling that the Lord called you to do? And if you're not, why wait? But if you're in that calling, are you giving it everything you got? Because if not, you're wasting some time. And you need to get it right. Anyways, I love you and God loves you. This has been the Unqualified Podcast with Leon Wilson. Like, share, subscribe.
