Hey lovely people, welcome to with Nyasha Michelle, but not the podcast that you normally expect. This is a little bit of a game for me to get to know you and for you to get to know me. Well, mostly just for you guys to get to know me and how well I can answer these questions.
SPEAKER_02Hi, Nasha. Hi Rihanna. How are you? I'm good. I'm very good. How are you? I am good. And we are going to play a game today called Who Said That? Okay. So we're going to test your knowledge on how well you know and remember your guests. Oh my gosh, I knew you were going to say that. So I'm going to give you a couple of quotes. Okay. And you're going to guess who said it. Okay. So just to start us off, the first one is Michael Jackson once said that every time he got an idea, he would go to the studio and record it because he was scared that that idea would escape from him. And go to Prince. And I believe that that's what ideas are like.
SPEAKER_01Can you give me like a multiple choice? Because I remember somebody saying that.
SPEAKER_02I'm not gonna give you a multiple choice, but I can give you a clue.
SPEAKER_01Give me that's it. We can we can do clues. Okay.
SPEAKER_02It's from season two.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02In South Africa. Ooh. Season two in South Africa.
SPEAKER_01Aya wina. It was uh Wusiswa. Not quite. I said that so confidently.
SPEAKER_02But it was a lovely lady.
SPEAKER_01Ayanda. Ayanda CBC.
SPEAKER_02It was Lazy Makotti.
SPEAKER_01Jesus have mercy. I'm not even correct. Oh my gosh. Oh wait, it was Lazy Makotti. That was really bad because I just went directly to thinking that it was a musician. Okay, yeah. Beautiful Lazy Makotti. Go and watch the episode if you haven't.
SPEAKER_02Okay, off to the next one. Hopefully, you get this one.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02So I've never understood the fascination with homophobia or being gay or lesbians in African politics. I think it's used to manipulate people.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. Guys, I swear I listened to my easy. Isn't this recent?
SPEAKER_02No, we're dating back to season one.
SPEAKER_01I've never understood.
SPEAKER_02And the clue here is it's in African politics.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, of course I know who this was. It was Hopewell Chinono.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Alright, shout out to you, Hopewell. Okay. Thank you. Okay. I really should have been able to answer that without a clue. But yeah.
SPEAKER_02Number three. I always find a way to maintain my team because it's not just about what you can do for me, it's also about what we can do together. Oh, that was a man, right?
SPEAKER_01It was. It was a man. Um The one thing that I would say that a lot of our guests, if not all of our guests, teams and the quality of the teams that they have is something that they've all, you know, conveyed to us. So it makes it a little bit difficult. Uh was it Ray Vanny?
SPEAKER_02It was not. Okay. Season season one, you're on the right track. Okay. And he is one of one.
SPEAKER_01What the heck do you mean by that? One of one. Is that like a really obvious thing that like put in the comments, guys, if you know who we're talking about.
SPEAKER_02Um do you want another clue?
SPEAKER_01Yes, give me another clue.
SPEAKER_02Lemonade.
SPEAKER_01Can I just say I have been working tirelessly. Therefore, my brain is awake. But not quite awake. Wait, wait, why is lemonade important? Okay, so I've had you said season one, right? Season one. I feel like I should know this. So there's been Ravan, but there's been Unfortunately your time is up.
SPEAKER_02Oh, damn. Who is it? It was Drizzelik. And if you haven't checked out the In the Spotlight Performance or Drizzelik performing lemonade, please do. You don't want to miss it.
SPEAKER_01That's true. Yeah, it's a really good, really good uh video, actually.
SPEAKER_02Okay, number four.
SPEAKER_01Oh god, I'm really not doing well at this. Hopefully, I redeem myself in this next one.
SPEAKER_02The quote is you're doing great. It's tough. There's so much pressure, but don't worry, you're doing alright.
SPEAKER_01Girl, anyone can say that.
SPEAKER_02This was a message to young people.
SPEAKER_01Sebastian.
SPEAKER_02Sebastian. Sebastian Summerfield.
SPEAKER_01Woo! My fellow Zim. Oh my gosh, I redeemed myself. Okay, cool. I and I think one of the reasons why I remembered that immediately is because um it was off the back of him just sharing some really interesting but also very heartfelt circumstances that he went through, which I think anyone, especially young people who are always on social media or if you're in the limelight, would um benefit from that. So also another plug. Go check out Sebastian Summerfield's conversation with me. Okay.
SPEAKER_02So the next one is it's not a quote, but this guest once choked on chewing gum on the court.
SPEAKER_01Oh, of course, I know who that was. That was so funny when that happened. So I'm not laughing at you, Azania, but yeah, it was Azania Stewart. That's correct. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So the last and final one, and this is what his past the mic question was. What came first? The chicken or the egg?
SPEAKER_01Because he wasn't trying to be serious. Um, I know it wasn't Oxlade. Um, because Oxlade kind of gave us a really serious one, isn't it? Was it Narc C? It wasn't. It wasn't RCC. So before N RC, we had we've been working, guys. So if I forget, have mercy on me because we've been doing some of these in production wise back to back. So I have to kind of go back in my brain. And you said it's a he. It wasn't Simon Haynes. It wasn't Bebe Kuhn. No. Oh, Joel Henry. It was Deji. Oh my gosh, it was Deji. Oh my gosh, sorry, Deji. Oh my gosh, I went through every oh, okay. Sorry. It was Deji. Yeah, because Deji's conversation was like jokes. Not to say it wasn't jokes with all the others, but I remember him being like, ah, nah, let me just give like a light one. Okay, it was Deji. Okay, much love, Deji. And that's all for today. That is all for today. Okay, I love that. Thank you so much. Um, how I would I would love for us to just also be like you, the listeners, the what the people who are watching. Did you get any of those right? And if you did, you are a true G. I loved that game. Thank you so much. But I also did struggle, guys, you know. But I'm sure some of you maybe even did better than me. So, did you get any of those right? Do you have any quotes as well that you particularly loved and took with you from any of our guests? If so, put them in the comments. Thank you again, as I always say, for watching and tuning in to with Nyasha Mishra. I'll see you guys next time.
