Jesus — What Does He Mean When You’re Hurting?

Pain changes the questions we ask.

When life hurts, we’re not looking for quick answers —

we’re looking for presence.

In this episode of The Jesus Effect, we ask an honest and deeply personal question:

Jesus — what does He mean to me when I’m hurting?

Through Scripture and reflection, we explore how Jesus meets us not after the pain is gone, but right in the middle of it. Jesus does not avoid suffering — He enters it, weeps with us, and walks beside us through grief, disappointment, and unanswered prayers.

In this episode, you’ll hear:

  • Why questioning God in seasons of pain does not mean faith is lost
  • How Jesus meets us in the middle of suffering, not just on the other side
  • What Scripture says about God’s nearness to the brokenhearted
  • Why you’re not weak for hurting — and not alone in it

This episode is part of an ongoing series asking one central question from the places where life actually happens.

Because when we encounter Jesus honestly — even in pain —

we begin to experience real change.
