Welcome everyone. I'm Sophia Ebet, co-host and producer here in the studio with Roy and Diane. Mitchell, roy and Diane how's it going?

Speaker 3:

It's awesome. How are you?

Speaker 2:

I'm doing really good today. So over the years you've grown a remarkable following. However, some listeners may not be familiar with your full journey. Let's take it from the top. Could you share a little background about your company and what you do?

Speaker 4:

Certainly we'd love to. Roy and I have been working together designing mostly residential interior design for almost 15 years and we have had the pleasure of meeting some just wonderful people and being invited into their homes to help them through some sort of change in life. They are either moving and buying something new, or they have a change within the family. Maybe the kids are going off to college and they want to repurpose some rooms. They're buying second homes in different locations in the United States and we have so many wonderful stories to share about the journey.

Speaker 4:

With each of these projects. Been a part of some clients' incredible stories, we've been invited to help them elevate their lifestyle through the lens of interior design by creating the proper home environment that supports their family, that allows them to make memories in their home, and it's a very personal journey that we go on with our clients. We take the time to really listen to what their needs are, not just their needs functionally, but the dreams of the home that they want to live in. We weave the past into the present. We keep sentimental items and mix them in with your modern lifestyle. Every single project is unique and different and that's what makes it so fun for Roy and I, yep.

Speaker 3:

One thing I love about it is at the end of helping our clients and we're walking out the door and they say, we couldn't have done it without you, and I think that's one of the reasons why Diane and I do it is just being able to help our clients and to live a better life Absolutely. And to live a better life Absolutely.

Speaker 2:

That's so amazing. And when you guys are not busy running your business which I'm sure you do all the time what do you?

Speaker 4:

like to do for fun? Well, we are active people. We, of course, spend as much time as we can with our family. Our families are a little scattered across the US, no-transcript. We like to hike. Roy loves to fly fish, and he taught me how to do that a few years back. I enjoy that as well. So we don't really sit around a lot, do we no?

Speaker 2:

Well, that is the best way to live life.

Speaker 3:

That's right.

Speaker 2:

Now we know marketing is key to any business's success. How do you market your business?

Speaker 3:

A lot of our businesses, it has been word of mouth. We found that the word of mouth was the best way of creating our business, and now we're finding new ways to do it. So we found you and we love how you work with us. Now we're finding new ways to do in business, such as podcasting something new to Diane and I, and I think it's going to be a great future as far as finding new business.

Speaker 4:

Definitely blending and a balancing, truly, of technologies that are available to us, not only in the sphere of marketing, but also in the way that we are able to craft space plans and renderings and 3D images. We can show a particular chair with a fabric on it, virtually, so we can really create a good, solid vision for the client of where we're going with the design and the products and the colors that we're using. It's a very personal experience and it's your home, it's where you live, and so we want to maintain that the touchy-feely part of the business and just use the technology to make us more efficient and to make the process a little faster and easier for the client.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think clients found it maybe working with a designer daunting. And this blend lines and it's quicker.

Speaker 2:

And this blend lines and it's quicker Now, Roy and Diane, you are very busy people.

Speaker 3:

In your own words at the heart of this.

Speaker 4:

Why are you doing this? Go ahead. The basics of interior design are something we feel are gifts and it's our way of giving in the world. We absolutely enjoy the creative process. We truly enjoy personalities, the families, getting to know people and the fact that it's so varied keeps it very interesting, and being able to see a project through with a family and how they are able to truly live a better life Like. The goal is to create an environment where we can be our best selves for our best purpose and I mean that from the client standpoint, the client's best selves, best purpose in life because your home really is such a supportive part of your entire life experience and for us to be able to help people move toward that end is the greatest joy.
