Shame, divorce and male vulnerability are often hidden, yet they shape how men experience grief, relationships and identity.
In this episode of Alone and Rising, Ian shares his journey through profound personal loss, including the devastating murder of his brother, alongside the breakdown of his marriage, and how these experiences led him to confront shame, trauma and his relationship with himself.
He speaks openly about masculinity, emotional expression and the courage it takes to sit with yourself without distraction, showing how solitude can become a path to healing rather than something to avoid.
This is a candid conversation about grief, identity and personal growth, challenging traditional views of strength and offering a different perspective on what it means to rebuild your life.
