The Trust Factor
A daily lesson that focuses on achieving unparalleled success in life using ancient wisdom in modern times.
We will be discussing critical concepts as they are laid out in the book Sha'ar Habitachon - The Gate of Trust. Written 1000 years ago, the author reminds us of the values and wisdom that have allowed humanity to thrive throughout history.
The concept of trusting in a higher power that exists purely for our benefit, puts us in the drivers seat with absolute confidence to achieve greatness.
Eliminate: Fear, Hatred, Anxiety, Depression, Jealousy, Greed...forever!

The Trust Factor
Episode 35 - Beyond Faith: Finding Trust Through Consistency and Gratitude
Consistency builds trust. In today's Gate of Trust exploration, we uncover the fifth essential character trait needed in our provider before we can invest our complete trust: consistency shown through repetitive patterns of goodness and provision.
Through powerful examples and practical wisdom, we examine how consistency transforms theoretical faith into practical trust. When we've experienced someone's reliability firsthand, trust becomes natural. This trust differs fundamentally from abstract faith - it emerges when outcomes directly affect our personal circumstances and challenges us to move beyond merely believing to actively relying.
The secret recipe for success in life? Gratitude. Recognizing divine providence multiple times daily unlocks a powerful perspective shift and creates genuine happiness. Unfortunately, our modern entitlement mentality and "click-and-receive" culture has eroded our capacity for appreciation. We expect immediate gratification without deep reflection, skimming life's surface rather than mining for its gold nuggets of wisdom.
Taking inventory of our blessings reveals extraordinary gifts we often overlook: health, senses, cognitive abilities, loving relationships, security, and countless other provisions that exceed what we deserve or could expect. These aren't guarantees but gifts - a realization that transforms our outlook from expectation to appreciation. This shift brings peace and comfort, especially when we recognize these gifts as coming from an abundant, loving creator.
The beautiful symmetry of trust reveals itself in action - by aligning with divine will, we simultaneously benefit ourselves. This "double win" creates a sustainable pathway to reduced anxiety, purposeful living, and a contentment that transforms not only our lives but the lives of those around us. Ready to start seeing patterns of goodness in your life? The journey begins with recognition, continues with gratitude, and culminates in a transformed life.
Take a moment today to stop, appreciate, and give thanks for the consistent blessings in your life. Then watch how that simple practice creates ripples of joy, purpose, and peace that extend far beyond your expectations.
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the Gate of Trust. It's another beautiful day and today we're going to cover off a spectacularly important example of the entity that we put our reliance on. What is the character trait today and how do we learn out the most important ingredient in the secret sauce, in the recipe for success in life? That's going to be covered off today, so it should be a really good class. Here's how it goes.
Speaker 0:The fifth character trait that you and I and everybody in the world needs to find in our provider in order for us to have the confidence to put all of our faith and reliance and trust in him, is consistency. We know, especially if we do some introspection and we look back in history, that from the second we were born, throughout our entire lives, throughout childhood and adolescence, throughout adulthood and well into our senior years, and until the very day that we depart from this world, we know with absolute certainty, because we've seen his hand, that he provides for us, that he provides not only our basic needs, not only the things that we need in order to sustain life, but so much more. We see it with our own eyes and we see what he provides and we see that he goes above and beyond what we are entitled to or what we deserve. Now, once you've established that, once you've seen over and over the repetition of the goodness and the kindness and all the things that he does for us, then one can't help but continue to put our faith and our trust in that creator. It's very simple You've seen it, you know, you've experienced it, you lived it. It's very different when it's theory, very different when you haven't experienced it and you have to rely on third parties or you have to rely on faith.
Speaker 0:In order to build trust. You have to have experienced it. If you go back to some of our earlier classes, you remember we said that the difference between faith and trust is action, is that it now has to impact us. In other words, we have to put our trust in the entity because now the outcome directly affects us. I can have faith in him all day long, as long as it applies to abstract concepts or things that don't apply to me directly. But as soon as it lands at my doorstep, as soon as I'm challenged with God forbid health problems, as soon as I'm challenged with serious financial problems or whatever the issue may be, suddenly it becomes my problem, and the classic example that we're seeing today, is that we had so many people around the world giving Donald Trump a landslide victory in the US. People who were voting for him that never dreamt they would vote for him brought him in and now they're seeing how aggressively he's pursuing his mandates. He's going after them like he's got not enough time left in the world to accomplish all the things which he probably doesn't, but he's going at it at breakneck speed and it's landing at everybody's feet. It's hurting economies. It's getting other countries in the world rattled up against us.
Speaker 0:Whatever it may be, the point is that we're now seeing the net effect of his presidency and it's real. Before it was theory. Today it's real. Yesterday you could have had faith in him, but today, do you trust that he's doing the right thing? So many people are now off the fence. They have no idea what's going on and they're now second-guessing their choice of electing him. Now, again, it's not a political podcast, but at the end of the day, I believe it's short-term pain for long-term gain. But we see just how quickly and how fickle people are that they literally will flip-flop as soon as they're really challenged. Faith, no problem. Trust, different story, my friends. Right, when it suddenly comes time for you to put up, then everything gets reassessed. You're really challenged and you really see whether or not you have trust.
Speaker 0:Now I want to get back to this concept of repetition and consistency and seeing his hand in everything. Because, guys, like I said a minute ago and like I'll continue to say, the number one secret recipe in the sauce of success in life is, in my opinion, absolute gratitude. Gratitude is the number one ingredient in the recipe. How does that apply over here? What's it got to do with consistency? And I'll tell you that it's got everything to do. If you don't see the hand of God in your life every single day, multiple times a day, nevermind once a week or once a month or once I'm talking about every single day, multiple times a day If you're not dialed in to see all the spectacular things that you have in your life to be grateful for, then you're missing the boat, my friend. You are missing the opportunity to be happy and successful in life.
Speaker 0:If you have a sense of entitlement, which, unfortunately, today everybody does. Unfortunately, this generation lives by the standard of entitlement. They feel that they're entitled to not just material wealth, but they're entitled to have the entire world bow down to their ideologies, no matter how corrupt or warped their ideologies are. They feel that the world has an obligation to accept and conform to wacky ideologies. Why? Because that's how they feel and we have an obligation to cater to them. That's this society of entitlement. It also doesn't help that we live in a society of click and you shall receive People.
Speaker 0:Don't have patience. I've told you in the past 10-minute podcast for some people is outrageous that they would sit and listen to a 10-minute podcast to help improve their lives and bring success and peace of mind and all kinds of wonderful things into life. They can't take 10 minutes out of their day to sit and listen to this concept. They need I don't know two minutes. Two minutes is plenty. Two, three minutes and like I've said in the past, two, three minutes you're skimming the surface. You're not even going to any depths to find out real value and real meaning. Gold flakes can be found on the surface of the earth, gold bars and nuggets. You've got to go way down deep to understand these concepts. So let's get back to this concept of appreciation.
Speaker 0:If you take the time every day to stop and analyze and look at what's happening in your life. You're healthy, you're above ground, you have vision, you have hearing, you have taste, you have touch. You have all of your senses. You have your faculties about you. You can walk, you can talk, you can touch. You can do all these wonderful things. You're capable. You have a brain, you can reason, you can ration. You have people in your life who love you, who care about you, who want to see you succeed and want to see you happy. You have people who you love and who you want to see happy and successful and who bring you joy. There are so many things. Look at the country that you live in and the freedom and the opportunities. It just goes on and on and on.
Speaker 0:If you stop and analyze every day and be grateful for the spectacular things that you have that you're not entitled to, you are not entitled to and many times you're not even deserving of it, but you get it anyway, you get more, you get above and beyond, because that's what he gives you in his love, in his endless, eternal love and mercy. He continues to shower all of this goodness on us every day and he has unlimited patience to wait for us to come around. But if he's waiting for us to come around, we're losing, because when we come around, it means that we're now acknowledging his hand, we're now seeing his handiwork in our lives and in our family's lives, and we stop and we say wait a second. This is unbelievable and you can't help but be appreciative. You can't help but be grateful.
Speaker 0:And when you're grateful, when you're appreciative of the things that somebody's doing for you, it brings you comfort, it brings you peace of mind, especially when you acknowledge that this is the one who created the world. This is the one who lacks nothing, has everything to give you and, in fact, does give you everything. Stop and be appreciative of it. Stop and say thank you. And every time you say thank you, it's another notch in your belt, it's another ramp up in your outlook, it's another uplifting experience that makes you, forces you to recognize that good things are happening in your life, that you have what to be thankful for. That puts a smile on your face. If it doesn't put a smile on your face, there's something wrong with you. There's something really wrong with you.
Speaker 0:All it takes is to sit back and assess If you have children. Think about that. Do you know how many people are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars and years and years of their lives and they can't put out one child, they cannot get pregnant. Do you know how frustrating and aggravating that is for so many people around the world? Who says you're entitled to one or three, or five or seven? Who says but look, you've got this beautiful creation called a child sitting in your house, in your life, who you love immensely. Who says that you're entitled to having a good job and earning an income and having stability in your life and not having a roller coaster every day of your life? Who's to say you know it's just look at the state of the economy, look at the way things have been for so long.
Speaker 0:If you've got income, if you've got security, if there's money in the bank and the mortgage is getting paid or the rent is getting paid, you have so much to be grateful for, and that's all secondary. You shouldn't have to think about those things on a daily basis only in order to be grateful for them, to say thank you for all these wonderful things. And how do you show your thanks? You show your thanks by spending your time doing the things that he wants you to do, which, as we've said many times, are also the things that are good for you. It's a double win. You're double dipping. Not only are you doing his will, which, in return for him, doing your will, but even in doing his will, you're doing your will. There is no downside, my friends.
Speaker 0:To summarize the fifth attribute, it is that we have to see consistency and repetition and recognize his handiwork in our lives. When you recognize it, the natural course of action, the natural thing that follows is that you stop and appreciate and give thanks and gratitude for all of the wonderful things that he's done and that he's doing and that he's going to continue to do for us. And when you do that, it will bring a smile to your face. And when you do that, you will stop worrying about tomorrow. And when you do that, you'll start applying yourself to making the proper change in your life and the lives of the people around you, and you'll begin to live a happy and content life. That's the class for today, my friends. Have a spectacular day, and we will continue tomorrow.
