The Trust Factor
A daily lesson that focuses on achieving unparalleled success in life using ancient wisdom in modern times.
We will be discussing critical concepts as they are laid out in the book Sha'ar Habitachon - The Gate of Trust. Written 1000 years ago, the author reminds us of the values and wisdom that have allowed humanity to thrive throughout history.
The concept of trusting in a higher power that exists purely for our benefit, puts us in the drivers seat with absolute confidence to achieve greatness.
Eliminate: Fear, Hatred, Anxiety, Depression, Jealousy, Greed...forever!

The Trust Factor
Episode 75 - Why Your Financial Struggles Might Be a Spiritual Blessing
Have you ever considered why you struggle for income? Or why a simple walk barefoot through grass feels so rejuvenating? These seemingly unrelated questions connect to a profound truth explored in this episode of The Trust Factor.
We begin by examining our peculiar modern condition—having become so disconnected from Earth that companies now sell "grounding pads" to electrically connect us back to the planet. This artificial separation from nature contradicts our divine design and spiritual health. When did you last feel grass between your toes or embrace rainfall rather than avoid it? This disconnection isn't just physical—it manifests in our approach to work, wealth, and purpose.
God's requirement that we work for our livelihood serves dual spiritual purposes. First, it tests our ethical boundaries: will we operate within divinely-established parameters or desperately seek shortcuts? Second, and perhaps more profoundly, work protects us from the dangers of idleness. Those with unlimited wealth and minimal obligations—celebrities, media figures, politicians—often develop harmful ideologies and destructive behaviors precisely because they lack meaningful struggle. Their minds, unoccupied by necessary work, become breeding grounds for confusion and rebellion.
This perspective transforms how we view financial challenges. If you're working multiple jobs or constantly seeking additional income, perhaps what's needed isn't more work but spiritual introspection. Are there areas in your life requiring attention? The constraints you experience might actually be protective boundaries, not punishment but divine protection—a loving restraint keeping you focused on what matters. When you commit to self-improvement and contributing positively to the world, your relationship with work often transforms. You'll still need to work, but the desperate struggle subsides.
Ready to reconnect with Earth, understand your struggles, and transform your relationship with work? Listen now and join us tomorrow as we continue exploring these life-changing concepts.
Good morning, my dear friends, and welcome to the Trust Factor for another episode. This is going to get very interesting. I want to put a pin in what we introduced yesterday. You can go onto Amazon and you could buy for very little money, something called a grounding pad, and what that is is it's a device that you plug into the wall and it grounds you, it connects you back to ground. You understand? Think about that for a second. Today, you can go onto Amazon or into your local store and for a few dollars, you can pick up a tool that will allow you to connect back to God's green earth. You think I'm making it up. Go take a look.
Speaker 0:My friends, we're living in an artificial world. When you go out to your backyard and when you go outside and there's a park, you know what. When you go out to your backyard and when you go outside and there's a park, you know what's separating you between you and your backyard your shoes. You always put on your shoes, or your slippers, or your sandals or whatever it is. When's the last time you went onto grass with bare feet? When's the last time you trekked through dirt or mud in your bare feet? I can assure you it's been a very long time.
Speaker 0:It is exceedingly healthy for you to connect back to your earth. That's where you came from. God tells you very clearly that's where you came from and that's where you should return to. The earth is a life source. It brings forth vegetation. It brings forth all of the foods and the air purification systems and all of the things that we need purification systems and all of the things that we need to stay healthy and survive and thrive. So if you're not connecting back to it because we've been conditioned that every time you go anywhere, put socks and shoes and layer up to protect yourself from your environment, it is exactly counter to what God wants from us. You want to be healthy. You want to maintain a healthy lifestyle. A very important part of that, my friends, is connecting back to his earth that you came from. Think about that.
Speaker 0:So just to put a pin in what we talked about yesterday get outside. Summer is here, enjoy. It Doesn't have to be a beautiful, sunny day, it doesn't have to be a perfect day. There's nothing wrong with rain. It is a source of life. Get out and get soaked. It's enjoyable, and when you do, I think you'll thank me for it. Let's get into this.
Speaker 0:But I want to give you guys a little bit of a caveat. This has potential to get hairy and you know, if you've been listening long enough, that I don't mind getting you excited. I don't mind getting a little bit controversial if it's for the sake of truth, if it's for your sake, I will shake the cage a little bit, I will ruffle some feathers. I have no problem doing that. Everything I'm saying is coming from the book or from the Torah that I have learned and if it's my own opinion, I'll always tell you it's my own opinion that you can have a problem with. But the rest, if you have a problem with it, take it up with the big boss we can have a problem with, but the rest, if you have a problem with it, take it up with the big boss.
Speaker 0:We said yesterday number one reason that we have to work for a living, that we have to struggle in order to provide, is because it's a test. Are we going to do what's required of us? Are we going to operate within the confines of the rules and regulations of that which God put in place to be able to create our income? Are we going to recognize that it comes from him and only from him? Or are we going to be busy running around putting spigots on the barrel trying to figure out where else we can get income from to augment and supplement our, our livelihood? Or, even worse, are we going to delve into areas outside of the parameters that he set for us? Are we going to start to destroy the system that he built in order to try and circumvent it to make more money? That's part one. Reason number two as to why we need to struggle in this world for our income, he says over here, and I should read a little bit is that man, if he would not have to exert himself to pursue and to engage in various measures in order to obtain his livelihood, he would become smug and rebel against Hashem and run after sins Without going through this whole thing.
Speaker 0:Let me summarize it for you, and you know this, you know this very well there is very little that is more dangerous than an idle mind. Most of the difficult and dangerous and confusing ideas that come into the world come from people and industries who have succeeded to the point where they are left with nothing but time and their mind. They have very few or, if any, obligations that they are required to tend to. They surround themselves with people who are considered an entourage, who are there for one purpose only, and that is to make them feel important and to confirm for them all of their wacky ideas, because these people survive off of them. They're like leeches, and the reality is Hollywood and media and elite politicians who are worth untold fortunes. They have more money than they and many generations after them will ever need or want, and so, as a result of that, they do not live the life of the other 98% of humanity. They don't understand the common struggles of humanity.
Speaker 0:We've said before that somebody who has nothing has it hard, but somebody who has everything has it even harder. It's very difficult to find real clarity and real purpose. When you aren't being challenged, when everything is at your disposal, when the word no is not in the vernacular for you, then life becomes unreal, it becomes wrong, it becomes a lie and, at the end of the day, you are trapped in that vicious cycle of lies and falsehoods and you don't realize it. That's the worst part. You don't realize it because you're in it and we are being told by the masses that that's what we need to strive for. We need to work as hard as we can to amass as much wealth as we can, because when we get there, that's the holy grail. What they don't tell you is that not very many people get there and many people suffer immensely along the way. It's a very difficult task and it's not meant for everybody.
Speaker 0:Like we've said, he determines your income every single year and there is nothing that you can do to change that. To become a billionaire. If you're not destined to become a millionaire, you can certainly make your efforts, but you are not responsible for the outcomes. And what he's telling us over here is that the reason that God makes you occupy yourself with work, with producing and generating a living, is because that is going to keep you out of trouble, that is going to give you real life experiences. You are going to be able to identify with the masses, with your friends, with your family, with your community members. You're able to identify with 98% of the world. That's why he says go to work, because in going to work and producing, you aren't going to be left with all this excess time to be able to go out and do the wrong thing. So you might want to stop and consider just for a second, because remember cause and effect. There was no such thing as coincidence.
Speaker 0:If you're that person that finds yourself oftentimes struggling to get by, to the point where you have to pick up a second job or you have to look for alternative sources of income, maybe what you should be doing instead is turn the attention inward, do some soul searching and ask the will of God. Or am I living a life of sin? Am I doing things that I shouldn't be doing? Am I looking at things I shouldn't be looking at? Am I eating things I shouldn't be eating? Am I not giving? Am I not helping? Am I not giving charity? Am I not doing the right things on a daily basis? Is this life just about me and my animalistic desires all day long?
Speaker 0:Because maybe, maybe, just maybe, based on what he's telling us over here, god is making you work that much harder because he knows that if he gives you more leash, if he lets you go and gives you nothing but time, you are going to single-handedly destroy your own life. You are going to be the cause of everything negative in your life. You're going to go out and sin. You're going to go out and do bad things that you're going to end up regretting that are going to cost you your relationships. It's going to cost you your marriage. It's going to cost you your relationship with your children. It's going to cost you dearly, maybe even your health.
Speaker 0:He knows this and in his infinite love for us, he says wait a second. I got to watch this person because I know who they are better than they know. I created them and I know the past, present and future. And I need to make sure that this person is reined in because, if left to their own devices, not only are they're not going to achieve their goals in this life, but they're going to cause more harm to themselves and they're going to have to come back again and again and again. So then, when you look at it with those eyes and you recognize that nothing is coincidental, that it's all out of love, that causes you to introspect, to look inside and say what am I doing wrong here? And I can guarantee you, my friends, it's by experience, and I've seen this many, many times in others as well.
Speaker 0:When you do that soul searching, when you look inside and recognize the difference between right and wrong and commit to a life of doing good and improving your life and the life of others around you and the world. Then he will take note and he will see that you have impacted real change and you will have changed your destiny. And when you do that, then he doesn't make you work as hard. He does not make you struggle for your income. You'll still have to work for it, but it'll come easy. You won't be looking for a second job and a third job and another investment and another opportunity. You'll be very happy with the job that you have because it will provide you for all of your means. That is an unbelievable concept, I can guarantee you. We will talk about this tomorrow and maybe even on Sunday. Have a spectacular day, my friends, and we'll speak tomorrow.
