The CEO of United Healthcare shot and killed this morning in New York City

The CEO of United Healthcare, Brian Thompson, was fatally shot outside a Hilton hotel in New York City by a masked assailant. The incident occurred Wednesday morning, December 4th. Video surveillance shows the culprit approaching him from behind, firing several 9mm rounds into Thompsons back and leg as he walked up the street. 

The CEO was preparing to enter The Hilton Hotel for a United Healthcare investor conference, where he was scheduled to speak. The gunman escaped on foot after the attack. He fled on a motorbike into Central Park, where he was last seen. 

Since the incident, investigators have concluded the incident appeared to have been a “premeditated, preplanned targeted attack.” The police commissioner stated eyewitnesses claimed the suspect was “lying in wait for several minutes” moments before Thompson arrived at the hotel. She added, “Many people passed the suspect, but he appeared to wait for his intended target,” NBC News reports. 

The news outlet reportedly spoke with the victim's wife, who allegedly stated her husband received several threats before the fatal shooting. Police are searching to capture the suspect, who remains at large. Crime Stoppers have offered a $10,000 reward for information.

 The CEO of UnitedHealthcare, Brian Thompson, was shot and killed in New York City outside of a Hilton Hotel. Um, this was moments before he was supposed to attend an investor conference for UnitedHealthcare to give a speech. Now, an assailant approached him outside of the hotel. With a gun they said a nine millimeter gun and also he had a mask on his face a ski mask and was Wearing what appears to be a very thick gray book bag Thompson was walking in his own surveillance footage of him walking in the direction of going into the hotel When this individual lets off several rounds into his back and also shooting him in his leg, he was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Now, witnesses say, and also police allege that, and they're assuming that this was a premeditated attack, and the reason why they're saying it was a premeditated attack It's because witnesses reportedly seeing this, uh, assailant, um, you know, sit and wait and watch waiting for the CEO to cross the street and get to the hotel before he shot him.

He also let several people walk past him. He didn't harass anybody else or, uh, interact with anyone else. He specifically appeared to just wait until Thompson approached the hotel before he was shot. Now, they're also trying to investigate. What was the possible motive of the shooting after the assailant shot him?

He made off and ran off on foot. He reportedly got on a motorbike and took off. And the last, they said the last video footage they got of him was when he was near Central Park. They still don't know who did it. Alright, but they're saying that the public shouldn't be alarmed or afraid or anything because they think that it was just a targeted hit to get the CEO fired.

Now, more information that I've collected, thanks to NBC. com, they're saying that they spoke with the wife of Thompson, who claims that he was actually receiving death threats not too long before, uh, the shooting occurred. So, you know, this is some information I've collected. They got the video footages out there.
