Back in April, I spent an afternoon at Zhongshan Park with Shixin Wenyue, also known as the Prince of Wangjiang. He was in Shanghai for his Grey Sun tour, which is already one of my top picks for Chinese Album of the Year.

We got into so many stories he's never shared before—from a hilariously failed pickup attempt in his youth to his current philosophy on how to approach people. He also opened up about what he calls his “young grandpa energy”—funny, honest, and full of heart.
