Welcome on in everybody to the Tack Box Podcast, episode 61. We are talking 61 or 62. 62, right? 62. Come on. Come on. I'm telling you, these last this last month has been a whirlwind moving South Dakota down to Texoma. It's like my studio area where I podcast is a nightmare. The house is half torn apart. We're making progress. The family, you know, three weeks of the family, the family's finally here now. It's just been like, I feel so disconnected with everyday life because we've been so focused on getting this kennel going and the move and getting the family here. And it's been like, holy cow, it's a whirlwind. But we're here, we're making progress. I got my red shirt on. You got your yellow shirt on. We look like ketchup and mustard, and we're ready to do episode 62. How's it going over there?

SPEAKER_02

Man, it's going really great here. You know, of course, we've been we've been busy, not as busy as you, because but you know, but we've had you know leaving up for a dog show for Minpin Nationals uh tomorrow and then uh getting back on Friday, leaving on Friday, so I have two sets of suitcases packed so I can one down and pick the other one up and go. And uh then going to judge up in Oklahoma City, a couple of my favorite shows up there, and then come crashing back in Sunday night. Then June, June, I got a lot of things planned for June, all of which kind of aside from going to Korea, are gonna be like here, you know, because I got stuff I gotta do here, you know, judging stuff, paperwork stuff, yard work stuff, all of the stuff, you know. So June is gonna be my make it happen in June. Because, you know, July gets stupid again. But yeah, yeah, I mean your your new house is amazing, it looks beautiful, and I'm sure the girls are super excited to to be, you know, I mean, man, yeah. It's pool time, you know. I mean, how how can you beat that? That's that's great.

SPEAKER_00

It's definitely it's it's definitely a different world. And I think the kids when they got here were kind of shocked for the first couple of days. It's like, yeah, it's humid, it's warm, it's not cold like South Dakota. And then, you know, you get the pool open and they get to do that, but the sun's different here. It's like you can burn in 10 minutes outside, you know. So it's like you gotta be a little bit careful in what you're doing. And then just our lifestyle in general is different, you know, in South Dakota. It's like you didn't really go do a whole ton. There wasn't a bunch to do, and now it's like, well, I think it was on Sunday, it was like we were sitting at DFW to drop off a puppy at five in the morning and then back home. And then at noon, we were down in Texas again, you know, picking up some dog runs and and things like that. So it's like two times in a day, it was like you're driving a little bit to go down into Texas to accomplish things, but yet still home. And you know, it's just like it's such a different lifestyle, and it's so different. And then it's fast paced when you yeah, and it fast paced and things happen at the spur of the moment. Somebody might call you and be like, hey, we need this, so let's get this done, or there's this over here, let's go get this done, you know. And it just you just go and you do it, and you know, everything's fine, and it it's just it's a lot. And and things down here in general are just different than South Dakota, you know. It's like in South Dakota, you don't see styrofoam. Like here, everybody uses styrofoam cups and it keeps the drinks colder longer. But no one uses them in South Dakota because it's like, you know, you gotta protect the planet. And, you know, the price is the price is the price in South Dakota. Down here, it's like there's a cash price and there's a card price, and they're two different ones. So it's like you learn to carry cash a little bit more because you get better deals and you know, you don't have to pay credit card processing fees, you know. So just a lot of that little stuff or you know, is yeah, it it it's it's different, but it's exciting, and we're all learning it and and going and figuring out, you know, timing like, hey, if we can get chores done, you know, in the morning, we got to get them done by nine because it starts getting warm at nine, so the dogs need to be back inside and you know, in their air-conditioned, dehumidifiered places, you know, to where they can be comfortable all day long. And you know, then you kind of figure out, you know, it's like, okay, by 7, 7:30 at night, they can go back outside again. It's cool enough, so it's like night chores, and then you know, it gets dark at a different time, and you know, different animals, you know, turtles walking across the yard and frogs hopping all over, which probably normal. Spiders, completely normal. Some big spiders. Yeah, big spiders.

SPEAKER_01

Good lord. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Big spiders. And you know, it's just it's it's it's definitely interesting. And the noises that you can hear, you know, of animals at night. It's like the other, I think it was last night we were sitting on the deck, and it's like we're far enough from the road to be out of the road, but we're close enough to the road that sometimes you can hear certain things, like sirens. And so, like we there were sirens going off the other night, the other night, and so then the coyote started howling in the tree line over there, you know. It was like it's just interesting just to be sitting. So a lot of different, a lot of differences, but all good. None of the kids have crashed out yet. None of you know, the wife hasn't crashed out yet. Everybody's still enjoying everything. I think they kind of like, is it still vacation mode or is this real life? I don't think they've really kind of figured it out yet, but you know, all good. And you know, kind of super excited for the future and and what we're doing and and a lot of that to get where we're going, uh, you know, is we utilize AI to get a lot of this accomplished. So, you know, kind of a topic of of our of our podcast today. AI. And you know, I just set that one up. What a great segue there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you just moved right in there. I mean, that was smooth. That's well, you know, I mean, and that is that is absolutely true. We see this all over the news where people are talking, you know, AI is everywhere, talking about the Pope was talking about AI. Everyone's up, and they think, well, does AI really figure into you know, dog the dog world and dog fancy and you know the kennel dog breeder stuff? And absolutely. I mean, AI is everything. I we use it in our travel, we use it in our in our the day-to-day management of our of our dogs, we you we use it in the naming of the dogs, coming up with the thing, we use it in you know, uh figuring medication doses. Just sometimes it's just that, you know, I mean, uh you should always, of course, double check it and that kind of stuff, but man, as far as like making things, you know, comprehensive, clean, professional, you know, that fast at the price we want to pay, you know, how can how can you beat it?

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's like the that's one of the things, you know, and I think we don't we think about like how can AI be beneficial in the dog world and and in the dog world, we're so old school. You know, it's like dogs have been around for centuries upon centuries, you know, so everything is so ancient in the dog world. And dog shows have been around for so long, and we're struggling to modernize dog shows, really. I mean, come on, like look at the entry system for entering a dog show. It's like from dial up internet age, you know, it's like so hard to even enter a dog show. So it's bringing AI into the dogs, I don't think is necessarily something that people think about a lot, but it's super easy to bring it in when you think about it. And you know, there's been ways that I've incorporated AI in, and one of those super easy ways to to bring AI in is like, how many times are you looking on the internet and you know, you're you're perusing through Facebook and you see a dog group, and it's like, can I see your guys' puppy contracts? Because I'm making up a puppy contract and I don't know what to put in it, so I want to see everybody else's and then I want to steal it all. And it's like, or why don't you just go to AI and ask it to help you create a puppy contract? It does it in 10 seconds. And it goes to your state, it'll it'll you know customize it to your your kennel, breed, kennel name, your breed, everything, and and it'll pull information from the parent club. So if your parent club has you know like any sort of new puppy guide, you know, type of thing, it'll pull information from that and the breed standard and all the things. So it's like there's so many ways that you can bring AI into your breeding program or your kennel or dogs in general. You know, they it's it's crazy to think about. You just have to kind of remember to do it, right?

SPEAKER_02

Well, yeah, but I mean it's like every time you sit down to sit down or write something out, you go, or I can just get the cliff notes, throw it in AI, and say, make me sound smart, and this is what I'm hoping to, you know. It's like I take my feeding, my feeding and training schedule for my puppies. Hey I AI, you know, this is my breed, this is such and such. You know, put this together in a nice flow, you know, format that people is gonna catch people's eye, and they're gonna go, and it's like wham. You know, for for the uh your AKC inspection or your state inspection, they want to have uh an exercising and care protocol. Hey, AI, you know, I live in this state. This is what I would really want to put together. What does that look like? These are the names of my of my vet and my emergency contract and this, this, this, and this. And I mean, wham, you have it. Like for the judging, oh my gosh, you know, I'm gonna do a critique on a on of a dog stuff, judge. I can take my notes, the catalog, you know, and put it together in a wonderful format for me. I mean, it's still my words, it's just better grammar, better layout, and in a printable version that they can take and run with. These are the things that are just just some of the small things you know you can you can do. You know, it can help you as far as like what do I need to have to, you know, like with my ordering and inventory. What do I need to have with you know all that? Now, Jane prefers grok for the factual stuff, and she likes Chat GPT for the kind of fun artsy craftsy stuff. You know, but uh you know, I mean, just just fun stuff. Like I was like going through, I was putting plants around the kennel. I'm like, which of these does these parts sun, no sun, you know, blah blah blah blah blah. And they'll outline it and tell me, oh, these this plant cuts in these varieties, these colors do better here, and just tons of information, just like that fast. It's like so cool.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and everybody uses AI in in some way, shape, or form. We just don't necessarily always realize it, especially like I mean, just think about GPS and maps. I mean, that's all AI, but you know, like every time, you know, when we talk, you know, a lot of times you'll you'll send me an article or information straight from chat, and it's like I'm just like, gosh, I wish I would remember to use chat more often, you know, it's like I I I I just never think about it. My go-to is like I go to Google and I Google. But what happens when you go to Google and you Google? The first thing that pops up is Google's AI. They, you know, Google's AI types up a response. So you're using the AI, and that's just tends to be what I go off of. If I went over to chat and I typed, you know, I started using ChatGTP, not paid by Chat GTP, nothing like that. We're just utilizing that that as an example. If you go to Chat GTP and you type it and you utilize it as your Google, it starts learning the conversation and picking everything up. So it's like it learns your kennel name, the breed of dogs you have. You only have to tell it once. Like, I brew Japanese chin. And now every time you ask about dogs, it tailors it to Japanese chin, you know, or cavaliers, whatever your breed is. As where Google, it doesn't know yesterday from today to tomorrow. It's just it's gonna answer your question that you ask, but it's not gonna remember your conversation. And I think that's something that I really like about chat is I can now go in there. I you know, I've used it enough now where it's like, hey, I need help with litter litter theme names, you know, or something like that. It's gonna be like, it's gonna be like, well, wow, you did this one before, you know, so this could be a playoff of that, or maybe, you know, I had it one time ask me, well, well, who's the parents? And I tell them the parents like, oh, well, the last letter of this, these parents, you did this theme, and you know, so we could play off of that. And it starts like it remembers the past and plays off of that.

SPEAKER_02

Whether they want to go a movie theme, a musical theme, you know, whatever you're gonna do, like uh you want the puppies to all tie into something. I mean, the creativity is off the chain and very fun, you know. I mean, where you can really one thing that I've noticed, like when when we're traveling, and especially when we have like a little time to kill or to go experience areas, or if we want to go in there, I can Google where I'm going and say, where do I want to go and see? But the sponsored links kind of take up the big chunk of the first part. I gotta go all the way through there and kind of sift it out and see who all is paying Google for their love, and then get down to the nitty-gritty. Where chat, they're gonna go ahead and say, You stay at this hotel, this da da da da, you, you know, this one's pet friendly, this one's not, this is such and such. They offer a shuttle to the I mean, it's just so helpful as far as like maximizing your experience and kind of tailoring it out, like these are the things that that you would like, and these are the things that you know you might have interest in. And uh I I think that that that's that's where it comes, it gets so helpful on that, where you can really start to you know make the best decisions as a consumer. And uh and and like I mean, I should you should still fact check it, of course, uh to a certain degree.

SPEAKER_00

But I mean, yeah, well it even tells you too, like, you know, it's experimental, it might not be 100% accurate, so make sure you check. But I've never found it to be wrong on anything that I've fact checked, have you? Hadn't been for me.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, and and just like lots of good information fast, you know, and does a lot of the bookwork stuff that uh that you know the to to put stuff together for I think that like, you know, for like I would think like for events for like specialty clubs, you know, one of my really good friends is president of a of a club and uh you know his his his beloved is the secretary. I would think that like where you're getting specialty stuff together, that would be invaluable. Like you could you could like do hospitality bags, you could do this, you could do that, you could figure out, you know, you could look at last year's entries and kind of you could do a lot with that. And uh, you know, things that people might be interested to see, you know, stuff the kind of stuff that would fill up your contacts and take forever to research and put all into one thing, chat can just like a buffet of information relevant.

SPEAKER_00

I think that that's kind of like one of the biggest things to think about, you know, like all the people that balk against you know AI and stuff is like, how can you utilize it to benefit you in a time savings? Because time is money, nobody wants to spend time doing a bunch of stuff. So it's like if I gotta reach out to 15 things you know to try to try to figure one thing out that chat can tell me in 30 seconds, it's like, well, that's a huge time savings. And a great example of that is uh I'm trying to figure learn hand stripping, you know, and and grooming dogs that need hand stripped, you know. So it's like I can Google it, I can read a bunch of articles, I can go through Facebook groups, I can go to YouTube, and I can dig through a bunch of videos to try to figure it out. Or I can ask chat how, you know, teach me how to hand strip a Brussels graphon, you know, or anything like that. And it's gonna kind of come up instantly with some main articles. So I mean it's not gonna walk you through exactly how to do it and show you itself, but it's gonna find the the videos, the articles that are pertinent to you.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. Give you recommendations on tools, like do I need a do I need a $120 stripping knife, or is this is this $40 one good enough? You know, that kind of thing where it can give you some give you some good advice on that, you know, where you can do I really need the little finger condom thingies, you know, like do I really need those?

SPEAKER_00

Are they beneficial or not? You know, and it's like, well, for five dollars, they might be, you know, let's find out. Chat knows, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Chat knows. Chat knows, and chat knows. I used it a lot.

SPEAKER_00

I I used it a lot, you know, for this move. You know, it's just like when you move residence states, it's like, well, what do I need to get my driver's license in this state? What do I need for this? And I I know that's not pertinent to dogs, but it's uh it's pertinent to to life and making things easier because it's like I could pick up the phone and try to call you know chamber of commerce or wherever the Department of Motor Vehicles and try to figure out all this stuff out, or I could just ask chat and it just hooks me right up and tells me, like, you're gonna need this, this, and this. You go here, you know, boom, done. And it's like in and out, you know what you need, and you got it done. And you know, it's like my kids are utilizing it to to design their bedrooms, you know, they get this new room, so it's like, you know, I want this room to be this, like, you know, and this is like McKenna walks around with, here's what I want my room to look like, you know. Chat designed it for me, and it's like, oh yeah, is Chat gonna pay for it too? You know, like you know, yeah, but so there's so many things, but I I even think of like the dog world is so old and we're so old school. Dogs have been around for so long, dog shows have been around for so long. You know, that like how much stuff are we doing on pen and paper that we need to modernize and get digital, you know, so it's like you can take that, snap a photo of it, throw it in the chat, and tell them, you know, I need to get this into an electronic document, and five seconds later it spits it out into an electronic document. Or, you know, I want to design a crate card that needs this, and you know, it's gonna come up with a template exactly how you want it with what you want on it, to where you can just save it, print it out, and boom.

SPEAKER_02

It ups the level of professionalism like so exponentially. You don't have to be like before before when somebody wanted a professional experience, they would say, Well, and for many years, and I'm gonna get some hate off of this. So if you have a problem with this or any kind of a work, talk to Tyson, he'll take care of that for you and duly note it. But the pet shops gave so much more of a professional experience to people looking to buy a a puppy. They had hours, they had clean bathrooms, they were available to people, they had they had professional stuff. I mean, they're the degree of professionalism much higher, you know, overall. I'm not gonna say better dogs or anything like that, so don't be hating on me with that, but the professionalism and the and how they were presented out where the people like that. They they want to they want to like go on. This is our policy. You're gonna do this, this, and this on these days. We're gonna do this, we're gonna follow through this. And the AI and like chat levels that playing field. You can have one litter a year, and you can have this the same degree of professional presentation to your customers that you could for a multi-million dollar corporation, multi-billion dollar corporation, you can compete. It levels that playing field because in here you got you know, making the small, the small player, you know, relevant competition. Like, how can I present this? How can I this? How what's appealing? What's now, you know, all of that, which I think is like so cool. You know, I mean way back when when we got our first website, you know, and what one of my favorite stories is how you know we had saved, we had been in Dog World magazine for all these years to move our ads higher, higher, higher, finally got to the top. And Shane said, Yeah, we're gonna let those ads go. I'm like, woman, you are crazy. You are you've got definitely gone off the deep end. We can't let that go. It's taken us decades to get there. She's like, it's not how people do it now. You know, people want to shop on a website, you know, they want to do it online, they're gonna do this. You know, you're not gonna physically take a picture and put it in an envelope and mail it to somebody. That is not gonna happen. And and that's where chat GPT is that is like a huge thing, taking the online, you know, all of this stuff together and taking what we're doing, you know, on a whole new level to the people that are interested in it.

SPEAKER_00

It can help make you smarter and and and that sounds super stupid, you know. is like it helps make you smarter. But I don't know how many times it's just like I have this idea in my head, but I can't I I can't just get it out into fruition. So you can kind of just go into chat and just be like, I'm thinking of this and I I want it to be this way and I I I like this idea. And then all of a sudden it spits it out into the thing and you're like, oh yeah, that's kind of what I'm thinking, but can you add this to it and you can ongo it and it's like ongoing and you can just turn it in and make your ideas come to fruition on a lot of things.

SPEAKER_03

But it's still your idea. It's still it's still your idea.

SPEAKER_02

You just had somebody help get it out of your head, you know you just have a personal electronics assistant because chat is not going to mow your yard. It's not going to get the green out of your pool. It's not going to get the guinea poop off the deck the deck. You know there's a lot of things that chat can't help you but paperwork and presentation and information and materials things that we could we can sit down. We can all sit down and research it and find it out and put it together write it out rough draft it you know refine it. You know when you know when I'd sit down to write something out for like a magazine or a or or something like that, I would I'd have to go through I'd read it make sure this and this you know and then and then proof it and go I mean it took forever and so sometimes it just gets so much more stuff done. It's so like so much more fast. And you can like now it's like and so I can let it do that while I'm doing the stuff it's not going to do for me until they find a find the a chat GPT for the other stuff I've still got to do that. But in the meantime AI can handle that that web presence it can handle the the uh the the public the all of the stuff to the level of professionalism that people have come to expect.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well and it's like you know here's a good example which which can kind of just go to time savings. You know when we put out a new podcast episode you know it's like AI is just kind of built into how I edit you know so it tells you know it'll it'll, you know, when we're done recording the episode it'll tell me you know it'll give me a paragraph and basically summarize the episode so you can put that onto YouTube as, you know, here's the description of of the podcast like I don't write it. You know it's it's written by the podcasting program we use like that's AI. But then you know it's like okay you want to push that out to to Facebook and to to Instagram and put it on the website and things like that. You know it's like I could sit out and type hey there's a new episode that's live emoji with a down arrow type of thing and and I could spend 10 minutes writing it all out or I can just have AI you know here's the episode that we we did you know here's the description of it you know can you write a Facebook post announcing that this episode's live and how they can find it you know and 10 seconds later boom it's done and now at this point AI knows like hey you're the Tac Box podcast and you're gonna talk about episodes and you know and you know oh by the way here's a great topic idea you know something like that. It's perfect it's this ongoing thing that in it it really is like a personal assistance and and I keep cut you know trying to think of ways to you know how to how you can benefit your your life because it seems like the you know the further we get into our lives whether it's age or it's just you know we're in 2026 things are different you know 20 years ago you know at five o'clock at night you were home eating dinner and then you were settled in for the night you know it's just like now it's like we're in a world where it's like well you can order food you can have food delivered you can you can do this you're maybe eating at seven or eight o'clock at night the we have the internet the world doesn't stop it's just like you know go go go go go all the time so how can you get some of that time back utilizing AI to to speed you know just to help you so you don't have to waste so much time doing things. And you know you mentioned it the pool yeah it's gonna tell me how I can get the the the stuff out good I don't have to sit and waste two hours googling and researching how to do it. I can just ask chat it's gonna tell me now I can go get the products and do the work that I need to do and be done instead of wasting half a day researching how to do it. And you know so there's there's a lot of things like that.

SPEAKER_02

Well I mean I think that something that you kind of touched on that's kind of kind of key is your time right because you know AI is not going to lead break my puppies you know aid AI is not going to it's not gonna scoop up their poop either yeah it is not it is not and so the things that I'm that I need to do I have more time to do because I can I can get the I can get the collective information together I can respond to inquiries I can help get people you know dealt with in a in a more professional manner. And uh and you know kind of like it just makes it just it's just an efficient use of time. And one thing that kind of happens is that the you know it's kind of especially but people as you've done something for a long time or you've been involved into it a long time you you begin to forget back like what was it like when I made that first inquiry to that first person to get that first dog or made that entry to that first show. And you kind of forget what these people are going through because it's so long ago you know it's kind of like it's kind of like parents that have had kids in their house from the time they were just married to you know the you know the next you know 22 years of their lives and that's like oh our house is all to ourselves what do we do get a cat yeah I mean it's it's change right so I think that this AI and some of this uh you know some of this efficient information can kind of go and kind of help you stay relevant to them keep the keep the experience relevant because they're they're working to them and and they're kind of like saying this would really appeal to the public and I think that sometimes the our dog show mentality thinking of this our dogs and our good dogs and our this and that we kind of lose touch with the people that we're kind of wanting to work with and we want them to support what we're doing because it's so cool but we're really not on the same playing field. And I think that this can kind of bridge the gap and have us be where you know like okay yeah you know I can see where you know that that keep you know that change and stuff is is that would be relevant to people and people would like that and it's information and it's questions asked now and it's phrased to them and you know it's like I think nothing of referring to a female dog as a bitch. I'm like yeah that that that party color bitch over there you know it's like okay that might come be offensive to someone who's not in the industry you know you're wanting a bitch puppy okay no we're not gonna do that that you know and so because we've been in the monkey house a little too long and so this might help us kind of like have a a a more politically correct kind of inviting invitation into the monkey house where we don't we're not gonna lose anybody we with our you know with our not being real you know relating to them.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah this is this is reminds me of a story I was in like Bongars the other day and it was like you're talking and it's like you just you're just you're just talking away to another dog person or somebody that understands and you're just like oh yeah it's such a big bitch you know she was such a big bitch and but you're you're talking about the dog you know and everybody everybody over hearing is like you know who's he talking about that is a big bitch that he's got you know it's like probably think I'm talking about my wife or something you know but yeah no I mean we had a neighbor when we first got married and I had a little dog that someone had named after Jane and her name was Jane E.

SPEAKER_02

Hershey and uh and she was a big mouth and I I yelled on the Janie shut up just shut your mouth you know and I'm the neighbor's like here have a cart honey for abused and abattered women you know because this is you know he treats talks horrible to her you know but we have to say it's kind of like the way we talk about poop you know like oh that's such good looking poop you can hear it hit the floor and if you're not in the wrong company yeah again you know we want to stay relatable to the people we want to get our dogs and we want to bring the public into we want to try to not be so far out there and I think AI is a bridge to the public to welcome to pure red dogs. Welcome to the experience of our selective bread dogs you know you know this is our our policy our procedure this is how we do it and it can make everybody into a very polished professional or at least approachable human being you know that and offer a little maybe a more cohesive experience.

SPEAKER_00

You know one thing that you know being in Japanese Chin that we hear about all the time is like yeah I want to go to this show but there's no entries blah blah blah blah blah you know we hear about entries all the time and it's like okay so how about using chat you know to instead of like what were the entries like this last year and you got to try to go find what entries looked like last year here and what entries look like how about you just ask chat you know like where should I be showing my Japanese chin where is there entries at you know what were entries like you know in the in this cluster last year and you know in the in the west on the west coast for Japanese chin in 2025 and it's like gonna break it all down and tell you in literally 10 seconds and you'll be able to decide like I want to go here here here because that's where all the entries were last year.

SPEAKER_02

It's like a lot of the things we don't think about you know as far as the dog world are showing exactly exactly we need we need those the that that information I mean and now sometimes that stuff will be that stuff can change and it can be you know I mean you still have to go and research it because like you might go and look at South Dakota's entries for Japanese chin and when you were going to shows all through last year showing that you know bringing points doing whatever well you're not out of that equation so that could that could be different from this year from next year. Yeah but uh yeah it just kind of you know those are really good tools to figure out where you want to go to show how you want to go where you what you might want to see while you're at the show there's a list of places that could be fun to go to and uh you know and working within your budget. I I don't know I just don't see a downside to it you know except for the fact that people hate change they do hate to change.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah well yeah they everybody hates change but even things like traveling I know you do a ton of traveling a lot by air but you know as far as like driving I've never really had to deal with it. So when I'm when I was moving down here you know it's like you type it into the GPS and it's like this way has tolls this way doesn't have tolls but it's gonna take you 45 minutes longer and you're looking at all that stuff. So then it's like I went to chat and I'm like so what are the tolls like in this spot and I was like oh 40 cents. And it's like okay so yeah it's like do I really want to avoid tolls and go 40 miles out of my way to avoid 40 cents like I'm gonna pay the 40 cents to cut a half an hour off of a 16 hour drive. Yep yep 40 cents thank you damn well worth it you know but but the GPS doesn't tell you how much the tolls are it just says you have tolls and then so you're like I want to avoid my tolls because I don't want to pay by all means. Yeah yeah and I and I would imagine it's like that when you're traveling to dog shows across the country all the time you know or going to these bigger city shows like you're gonna have a lot of tolls or not tolls and if you're not if you don't know how much they are and you're trying to avoid them at all costs and it's literally like you're avoiding 40 cents and you're going five miles out of your way with dogs that which is with gas prices. Yeah yeah no right no there there's another there's another perfect thing right there too you know is it's like finding you know cheap gas prices near you because it's like here you know where where we live here it's like diesel is like 550. You know if you go 30 miles away it's only like 469. But you know are you going to drive 30 miles to go save 20 cents a gallon? I mean I know it's not 20 cents it's more than that but things like that where you can have chat kind of come up and it's like you know where's the de where's the cheap diesel prices around here and then you can decide you know is it worth driving 10 miles? Yeah yeah is it worth driving 10 miles to save 20 cents a gallon you know and chat I mean it just figures all that stuff out for you instantly it's just like well yeah you would save you know on a 20 gallon tank you could save five dollars by driving this 10 miles and it's like okay so is now is saving five dollars worth an extra 20 minutes of my time there you go that's the only way you can decide but you know what the savings are and you know what it all is right there.

SPEAKER_02

So I think that's a that's a huge thing you know it gives you more information to make those decisions smarter.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah and you know it's like if you're traveling to a dog show again something I experienced with moving down here is like you drive through Oklahoma City and it's like $550 a gallon for gas. You drive 20 minutes out of Oklahoma City and it's it's 60 cents a gallon cheaper on diesel. So it's like can I make it there? You know it's so when you're traveling to dog shows it's like where's the cheap gas along the way? Can you get to that spot and fill up if it's right along the way and save some money versus you know filling up in a bigger city because everybody's you know got gas prices on their mind right now. So that's one of those situations to to think about or you know if you're driving down to Dallas to go to the airport, you know, where's the cheap spots along the way to fill up so you don't have to pay the the more expensive prices. Well chat can figure all that out for you. You just got to utilize it.

SPEAKER_02

Yes utilize it see see where you can save your money on motel rooms save save your money on your you know save your you know because like even like I used it for I figured for the show going which hotel do I want to stay well this one's got a pet fee of this much this one costs this much a night but this one has you know has one pet fee no matter how many this one has has has a pet fee per dog up to this many dogs. Yeah I mean so you turn around and go but this one offers breakfast so okay now how I'm getting I've got $25 worth of breakfast I've already I've got enough dogs for here so I can actually stay at the better hotel and it's costing me less money you know and I'm getting a I'm getting breakfast. So all of those things you know you just it's sometimes it's helpful to have chat go ahead and take it the next level where you can figure out all the way up.

SPEAKER_00

I know we talked about like medication protocols and I know a lot of people have like the plums book to you know to come up with medications for things and dosages and you know and that's pretty old school when chat can just pull it up instantly you know if you got you know you know some sort of you know whatever you have going on in your dogs it's just like use chat to kind of figure out like what can treat it you know dosages of course check with your veterinarian too it's not bet advice you know like we have to say that you know but you know is there's so many of those those types of things or you know what also comes with it you know it's like say you get you know fleas and you're trying to figure out a protocol to get rid of fleas well what comes with that worms right now now what are you gonna do to fix that you know what else what else do you do? You know so it's like or even areas what you know I'm I'm traveling to a dog show to to California but I live in the north you know I live in Minnesota you know what types of things do I have to worry about in California? Is there you know higher humidity where you might run across you know there's warmer temperature heartworm could definitely be something that's more prevalent there than in winter states. So those types of things are what you might run across while you're there to help protect your dogs.

SPEAKER_02

And so maybe it costs more than than frontline but maybe it maybe when you sit and think about for three months treatment for two different things in one time you have to do it where you're gonna only do this four times a year versus doing two treatments you know twelve times a year maybe maybe the breve is a bigger savings for you. You know a more efficient better way of using your your time and your money and all that so those are all just things that you can kind of you know using you know because I think that there are options of stuff that we can that we can do that can that can turn around and we just kind of get in the habit it's like well we used to do it like this and this is how we used to do it. I mean you're not gonna believe this but we used to fill out dog show entries and put them a stamp and mail them off in the mail and then then like the people that were super organized you could go at the show and enter the next show and save the postage yeah yeah see that's that's back when the postage was like 25 cents now it's like a dollar like it's cheaper to enter online now my gosh. It's cheaper to enter online well here's the kicker you not you're never gonna get the dollar because it's like oh that's a holiday weekend. Now you're gonna have to priority your express mail it because we always waited till the last minute anyway it's like oh entries got to be in by Wednesday it's Monday crypto overnight it right yeah so all of that stuff you know I mean you gotta you gotta roll with the technology and and accept how it makes things better. And I don't think that I don't think that people really are truly old until they can accept change and stop learning new stuff. Because as long as you can accept change and learn new stuff you can do better and I think you grow you know as a uh you know and that that's something that applies you know to even an old established industry hobby sport like dogs, dog kennels dog breeding all that I think that you know that I think that AI has has I can't I there's probably so many more things that we're not even thinking of that we could be using it for oh for sure.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah I see some of the things on you know on Facebook that people do with AI and it's like I would have never even thought to do that and I'm sure there's a million other things out there and you know hopefully we can start figuring those things outside photographs how about that God photographs where we used to have to like well spread let's look what color puppy is we're gonna go spread out the burgundy sheet in the lazy boy recliner and put the teddy bear next to it and take the picture of the puppy to get this extra cute picture.

SPEAKER_02

Well now you can take a picture and that dog can be sitting anywhere can be sitting on on a next next to a a a pile of empty beer bottles and you can say take that picture you know and drop it yeah put this puppy in the Garden of Eden right here I mean and it's I mean it's like okay boop there you go I mean there with with all of this anybody that sends out a bad or an ugly picture lazy lazy because all you gotta do now is is I mean you know just like you know chat will they will color enhance they will drop in your backgrounds all of this stuff you know I mean it's it's a it's incredible.

SPEAKER_00

Used to like when we first started doing digital which was pretty amazing you know digital pictures pretty not having to shake them anymore or take them to you know the film developing place and wait you know qualitative two weeks or or pay extra for a two hour you know photo and then hope you got something good out of it.

SPEAKER_02

Take 60 pictures and you get one one good picture the money shot. And but no that whole that whole thing and and then to be able to take a picture that's a good picture of what you want to do but doesn't have the right background or doesn't whatever you know gosh now that picture's totally usable totally salvageable you know you know it's like if you don't if if your profile picture on Facebook doesn't make you look like you should be on people magazine's 10 most sexy people well then you're just you just aren't using the tools available you know because it's it's there it's there get get a little get a little wiser you know just don't make it look fake to where when people actually see you they're like well that's not the same no my gosh yeah and the same with your puppies too like enhance the pictures make them look like optimum but do not you know change the look of your actual puppy because that's not gonna make anybody like you you can't take you can't take uh you know whatever and you know uh a mismarking and and remove it or add to it and then sell that puppy that you know it's like well this isn't the puppy I bought and it's I wanted the one from the pitcher you know well and you can see I do with with my all of mine is I do I do videos and FaceTime so you know like I said uh the pictures I want the pictures to be good but we're gonna do have a live feed where you're gonna actually like see the actual puppy and see yeah all that but still though you know you can you that's it's a it's an achievable level of presentation that's available to everybody.

SPEAKER_00
