Episode 98: Under the Radar: “The Man Who Fell Asleep in Church”
This episode looks at one of the most human and hope-filled moments in the New Testament: Eutychus falling asleep during Paul’s sermon and falling to his death — only to be restored by the power and mercy of God. What appears at first to be a simple (and even humorous) story becomes a profound reminder that God meets us in our weakness, exhaustion, and spiritual drift. Eutychus didn’t fall because he was rebellious — he fell because he was human, worn out, and overwhelmed. And yet God restored him, embraced him, and returned him to the community of believers. This episode calls men to recognize that falling is not the end of their story. The God who restored Eutychus is the same God who restores men today — no matter how far they’ve drifted or how hard they’ve fallen.
