Circular Food Podcast Episode 2: 80 Acres Farms with Renee Camplese
We're thrilled to release our next Circular Food Podcast highlighting our partnership with 80 Acres Farms as part of our mission to coordinate circular food systems in neighborhoods and cities. While both organizations are passionate about sustainable agriculture, we each bring unique strengths to serve our communities. Renee Camplese, Head of Commercial Special Projects, did a great job speaking to their growing global expertise and how it will impact our local food systems and communities.
The Urban Farming Initiative focuses on coordinating comprehensive food systems - from growing and processing to distribution and recycling - to create lasting positive impact in neighborhoods. Through our circular food system approach, we connect community gardens, local partners, and buyers to build self-sustaining regional food networks.
80 Acres Farms complements this mission with their expertise in controlled environment agriculture (CEA). Together, we're working to integrate advanced growing techniques into broader community food systems, making fresh, locally-grown produce more accessible while creating workforce development opportunities that strengthen our neighborhoods
