From Sparklers to Getaway Cars: Creating the Perfect Wedding Exit

Wedding Hive

We dive into wedding send-offs and share creative ideas to conclude your celebration in style while capturing unforgettable moments for your wedding album.

• Sparkler exits create romantic photo opportunities and can be done as "mock exits" before the end of the night
• Alternative send-off options include bubbles, rose petals, ribbon wands, LED light sticks, traditional bells, and even fireworks
• Check venue restrictions for sparklers, fireworks, and noise ordinances before finalizing your send-off plans
• Ensure proper safety measures with enough lighters and disposal containers for sparklers
• Have a coordinator manage your exit, especially when guests have been drinking
• Consider timing for photographs – sparklers need darkness to create their magical effect
• Getaway cars add a romantic, cinematic quality even if the exit is somewhat staged
• Personal touches like vintage cars create lasting memories and beautiful photo opportunities

Speaker 1:

Hey Queens, welcome back to another episode of the Daily Buzz. So we received some questions that came in from the Instagram. Grace, can you tell me what one of our questions is yes, someone sent in.

Speaker 2:

It says send off items sparklers, confetti bubbles, et cetera. So we're gonna talk about what you should do for your send off at the end of the night.

Speaker 1:

I love send offs. I think they're so fun. It's a way to conclude your event. It's a good celebration for everybody to just give that last hurrah.

Speaker 2:

I think they're fun. What did you do? A send off for your wedding? I did. Yeah, I did the sparkler exit and it's honestly probably one of my favorite parts of our photos and wedding video that we got back because, just like you said, it's the very end of the night. It's a send off and it was actually fun because of our timing. Also, think about this too If you're doing a send off, how long your photo and video are staying for. I knew I wanted photos and video of that. So we kind of did a mock send off Nice, which I actually did enjoy because we did the send off, and then it was like, okay, we can still go back and party. Yes, so I really enjoyed doing that and I think the sparkler send offs are super cute. I haven't really what have you seen? I haven't really seen anything besides the sparklers.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I have seen cold sparks have been done. Sparklers Bubbles are super fun. They're hard to sometimes get in photos, so if you're a photographer, but I've done bubble guns. We've done bubble guns, okay.

Speaker 2:

Yep, I've done bubble guns.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes they're really hard to get in pictures, um. So if you have a very creative photographer that can photoshop some bubbles a little more um. Rose petals are fun, like ribbon wands or the. They're do you? They're like the led lights. The wand sticks, oh, okay. Um. So like the people use them on the dance floor and then they take them out. It's like Star Wars.

Speaker 2:

Yes, just like that.

Speaker 1:

Those are fun as well. I know bells are very traditional as well. Oh, bells. You can have so much fun, and I love that you mentioned mock exits. I've trialed a lot of mock exits and they are super fun because you still have everybody there. You can do it in the timing of your photographer. The only thing is, sometimes it can affect the dance floor vibes, because if you stop dancing and you take everybody out for a mock and then you get them back on the dance floor.

Speaker 2:

So just make sure you have a good DJ that can keep the crowd going To get them back on the floor and party, or you don't have to take them all.

Speaker 1:

Some things you might want to consider when choosing your exit. Um, just for the safety and um any restrictions, just double check with your venue that they allow sparklers. Some venues do not allow sparklers or sparklers or they have to be in designated areas. Um, because you are lighting things on fire. Um, you want to also check for any noise ordinance If you are doing like fireworks, fireworks something loud, all of those things I love when people have fireworks at their wedding.

Speaker 2:

I know I think it's so cute.

Speaker 1:

I yeah, I agree. I don't know where who allows them, but I would love it, I know. Um, the other thing you want to make sure, if you're doing sparklers, that you bring enough lighters and there's somewhere for those sparklers to go at the end. I've always worked with a very big tin bucket and I always say that it reminds me of the Game of Thrones iron chair, because all of the lit up sparklers in this bucket looks so cool at the end of the night. Oh, really, yeah, it's so fun.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to have to look next time.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's so fun. Make sure you have somebody coordinating your exit, whatever that looks like, because you are going to be Especially if people are drunk. Yes, walking that exit and just also check time of day for lighting for the best photos. So you obviously can't do sparklers when the sun is out. What do you think about?

Speaker 2:

getaway cars. We love them or hate them. I like them, I do like getaway cars.

Speaker 1:

We love them or hate them. I like them. I do like getaway cars. I think that they serve a purpose. Um, a lot of it is staged, so be prepared that you might not completely jump in your car and drive away immediately. I feel like nine out of ten times brides run back inside to use the restroom or their bag wasn't put in the car or just saying you know, last goodbyes, yeah so oh, I love.

Speaker 2:

I think the getaway cars are cute. My my favorite story from my parents wedding is my dad surprised my mom with like a vintage car for their getaway, so that was like his wedding gift to her, and I love like looking at their wedding photos and the pictures are just so cute it makes my heart happy.

Speaker 1:

I love that. I think I would selfishly want to do a getaway car like just for me and my husband. I think he would be the one that would want a party bus so the party could continue on. So, all right, that is your daily buzz.
