Hey Queens, Welcome back to another episode of the Daily Buzz. Grace and Kelsey are here today and, Grace, I have a question for you. This comes from our Instagram polls and I know this is something you are very passionate about as a newlywed. Yes, the question is is a videographer worth it?
Speaker 2:Perfect In the short answer yes, I think. If there's one person that you should spend money on and a vendor you should book for your wedding day, in my opinion, is a videographer. The special video that you get from that is just worth every penny, in my opinion, because you, of course, have the professional photos, which is nice, but when you're going through your wedding day and it's so insanely busy, it flies by so quick. You're pulled to go do sunset photos and then you're pulled to go do grand entrance and there's so many small things that you miss out. Just being the bride and groom and doing your bride and groom duties, that um, to get that video back and just see so many happy memories.
Speaker 2:Because I was talking to my husband the other day and um, his you know, my now brother-in-law was with us too and I said, yeah, I, I feel like um.
Speaker 2:I said I blacked out and he goes. You were drunk and I said, no, but the feeling of just being there on your wedding day and you've planned for you know, I wasn't always one of those people that you know dreamed of my wedding since I was a little girl. But there are people you know who have that feeling and you know, if you you been with someone for so long and then you get engaged and then now you're planning for a year and a half, that day just feels so surreal and just, you know, almost out of body in the best way, because it's just like, holy crap, all this time we like spent, you know, together and then to finally be here at the altar and marrying, you know, your best friend and the love of your life, is just such a special feeling. And to have that captured not only on pictures but video is, you know, something that I'm very grateful and happy that I chose to do, because I think I would have been really sad if I didn't have it.
Speaker 1:Yep, I think that you are correct in that. Oh, thank you.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you're welcome.
Speaker 1:I approve your message. The thing that is really cool about wedding video is we as humans have a very small visual perception and so on wedding day, when you are in your bridal suite, that is all you see. You don't see any behind the scenes, you don't see any of the prep, you don't see any of the stuff of like venue and same for the guys. So when you get your wedding video back and you're able to see, it's like you get to be a fly on the wall of every other area of the day that you weren't able to see on the day. So your video comes back and you see the guys putting their suits on or you're applying your lipstick. All of those different perspectives are able to all be in one video.
Speaker 1:If you're going to hire a professional videographer, make sure you hire somebody who has a extreme creative niche, because you don't want a crappy video to come back. You want somebody who is able to pull all of the emotions, different visuals, all of the pieces that you are able to see is so important that I think, uh, if your video? I just talked to somebody and they said you know, I got my video back and the video was no better than what somebody could have filmed on their camera and they put the wrong wedding date and it was heartbreaking. This is somebody who got married. It was somebody tagging along with one of my brides, but it broke my heart to hear that it just sits in a box.
Speaker 1:So I think the aspect of being able to see all the different pieces, you can really feel all of the emotions and see the different sides of the day that you weren't able to see, like you said, and you kind of black out. It's an out-of-body experience and you're moving so quickly through the day. Unfortunately, it's just you get pulled and I think you were the one that said you got to see different guests or different conversations or laughter and all of those pieces to really see your guests got to enjoy your wedding day.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I totally agree, and something that's like my favorite thing about my wedding video is I did a first look with my dad and my dad means like so much to me and just to you know know that I have that on video forever is just something that's like so special to me. So I think get a videographer, it is worth it, work it into your budget because it's going to be something that you're going to look at forever.
Speaker 1:And I think it's also really cool. It gives your future children a chance to look back at your wedding day and to see mom and dad when they were, you know, young and newly wed, and it's just cool, yep, so we're pro we're pro videographer, so let's just cool. Yep, so we agree. Yep, we're pro, we're pro videographer, so let's do it. Save dot money. And that is your daily buzz.
