Wedding Hashtag Dilemma
We dive into the divisive world of wedding hashtags, debating whether they're a cute addition to modern celebrations or an unnecessary trend that's more cringe than cool.
• Wedding hashtags can be cute if they naturally flow with the couple's names
• Many hashtags feel forced when names don't mesh well together
• The functional purpose of hashtags is questionable beyond collecting photos
• Modern couples are trending toward more privacy in their weddings
• QR codes for private photo sharing may be replacing public hashtags
• Even after a year of marriage, it's never too late for "Zook is Cooked"

Hey queens, welcome back to another episode of the daily buzz. Today we are talking about some hot and controversial topics. So, grace, be honest Our wedding hashtags cute and functional, or are we just pretending they're super cringe?
Speaker 2:Ooh, that's a good one. I Think they're kind of cute Really, I kind of like them. I think they're cute if it. I kind of like them. I think they're cute if it's actually a good cohesive hashtag. Sometimes the last names just don't mesh or people try to make it cute and that's when it's cringe. But if it's actually a good combination and it flows good, I think it's cute for Instagram. What's the point of a hashtag? It's just being extra as fuck. Really, what's the point of a hashtag?
Speaker 1:It's just being extra as fuck. Honestly, Like no, seriously, like really, what's the point of having a unique hashtag? Everybody's gonna post your pictures and hashtag it and you can find it later on. I don't know, it puts you viral, Like what's the point of having a hashtag? I think they're cringe yeah.
Speaker 2:I mean no, that's what I would say. Yeah, I mean no, you're I, that's what I would say, like you're not wrong, because I think it's just another thing that someone found to add on your wedding day. That's like unnecessary. But now it's like kind of gotten big and people like to do it or you know, people will do it for like added on their like bachelorette posts or like bachelor parties and stuff. So I think it's just something that people added on to like just do even more stuff. That's just extra. I think they're pointless. Yeah, no, I don't really. There's no, there's no meaning behind it. But I'd say, yes, if it's like a cute, cohesive one. If you can't come up with something good, then just like don't even think about it.
Speaker 1:That's what the point of like. Okay, going back to my photos, cause again I'm trying to figure out why we've created these wedding hashtags. You can get a QR code and have everybody upload the photos there, versus having to have everything hashtagged and then put online I don't know and everybody, just like we talked about last week with um love story films everybody's not wanting their stuff posted all over you know, what I mean.
Speaker 1:We're getting more intimate or private in our weddings and what people have seen. So why are we blowing everything up with these hashtags?
Speaker 2:Yeah, what do you think?
Speaker 1:your hashtag would be if you had one. I wouldn't, because I think they're stupid.
Speaker 2:What would yours be? I don't know, that's what I'm saying. I never had one for my wedding because I just couldn't think of one. And I I know I remember we did, we did think about it and we threw, I think, into a generator, but it just nothing flowed good and I was just like, yeah, let's just not do that no hasta la vista, like see, I can't like, because my new name was Rosa and then my last name's Zook, which does rhyme with a lot of things.
Speaker 1:Zook, zook, yeah Do you like Zook cook, zook is cooked. That would have been a good one. Low key, damn it. That was close, that was good, so glad you're already married.
Speaker 2:I know a year later, but you know what.
Speaker 1:Maybe I'll do it like on the anniversary picture. I'll be like Zook is cooked. Okay that I don't know. Whatever makes you sleep better at night, yep. So all right, that is your daily buzz.
