It's gonna be a fun episode and we're just gonna talk celebrity weddings, we're gonna talk dating shows from Love is Blind, Perfect Match, and the OG wedding TV shows, which I'm excited to get into. Because I grew up on those. So we're gonna first talk about celebrity weddings, um, short-lived marriages. I think the one that a lot of people think of is Kim Kardashian and Chris Humphreys.

Do you remember how long? I have it written down, but do you remember how long their wedding was? It was like their like days ago.

Oh, yes, their marriage. Their marriage didn't it didn't even last three months. Like nine weeks, 72 days. Yeah, that sounds right. Well, and you even saw on the show they were very uh they were like on the clouds and dating, and then they're like nobody brought them down to Earth. Oh, yeah, at any point until day 72.

I said, This is the best commercial I've seen in years. Yep. It was funny. It was because you know the backstory of her dating and the Kardashian curse, and which is also what people talk about with Kim Kardashian, Chris Humphreys, that they all of the girls marry these guys and then they get divorced, and then they have terrible seasons playing. And I think at the end of the day, like just play better. Yeah. And it's crazy because I did actually really like Kendall Jenner with Devin Booker. I thought they were a cute couple. You know, obviously we're an AZ, he's on the Suns, so but that commercial was so good.

I showed my husband and he was like, oh, that's kind of rude. And I'm like, shut up. I was like, this is for the girlies, and it's iconic. So I loved it. Yep. I do too. So yeah, the Kardashians, of course. Um also, I read this, I had to do a little bit of research. Britney Spears and Jason Alexander, which I guess was, I think, a childhood friend of hers, um, in Vegas, and it got annulled in 55 hours.

I know. I do, I do think they were cute. I feel like a lot of people do the their iconic gene. I was, I think there were like an MTV awards or something they went to back in the 2000s. The all denim. It's just, it's iconic, and I love that. So um, okay, next one is okay. Do I love Pamela Anderson? I think she's a baddie. Do you know how many times that she's been married? Oh, I was actually kind of shocked.

Yes. Six times. Okay. I you know what? I uh think very highly of her in the season of life that she is and the healing that she has done. Mind, body, spirit. She is in a good place. Yeah, she's and she seems to be really happy and she has found her peace, and and I'm I'm happy for her in that. Didn't know it takes six marriages, but you know part of her journey.

The Beckham Wedding Drama

Talk. I mean, if you need any help filing divorce paperwork, just call our girl Peter. I know she's probably got a good ass lady. Professional, she knows every uh page in that divorce file and how to- He's like, I know from beginning to end, I know all the sections where you miss signatures or the initials, she's got you.

I love that. Um, okay, so this isn't so much, well, it is kind of a celebrity wedding, but I want to talk about have you seen the whole drama surrounding the Beckham family with um their oldest son? Um why am I blinking on his name? Uh Brooklyn Beckham. I don't know why it's such a cheat in my mind. I know.

No, I I don't. In my head, Victoria and David's children are still like five years old. Two and seven. Like the fact that they are grown up and at the age of getting married and starting their own families is so weird to me because they're still like itty bitty in my head. But no, tell me about the drama.

So basically, what had happened is there's been speculations over the years of drama between him and his wife and the family. And he finally went to Instagram and spilt all the tea.

I know. I think that's when you know shit is real. Like he went to the Instagram stories to, you know, basically say his piece and that there's been issues for years and they don't respect him and his wife, and I that all they care about is their money and their fame and image. And I think it's it sounded really sad from his point of view, like the way that they were treating him and just the weird situation that went down at their wedding, which is apparently he was on the dance floor. The MC DJ, whoever said, you know, can I have the most beautiful woman in the room tonight come on to the floor to, you know, be with Brooklyn? Which indicates the bride. Which indicates the bride. It's your wedding day. And Victoria went up. Stop. Yeah. So he explained that story.

But did Victoria sit back down?

No, she went up and had a dance with him, and apparently it was very, he felt uncomfortable, it was inappropriate. And there was a guest who's at the wedding who actually went on a talk show and spoke about the situation, basically confirming and backing up his story that he had posted about, saying this was true. It was very awkward for everyone there. Like it sh if anyone should have been up there, it should have been their bride. You know, the most beautiful woman is gonna be their bride on the day of, and he just said the dance was really weird, and so it's like he just exposed everything. That is so sad. I know, yeah. And apparently, too, she was supposed to make her wedding dress and then kind of bailed dropped out like Mickey, because obviously she's a designer a few days before the wedding, so then she had to scramble and find a different dress. And who plans their dress like three days before their wedding? I I really don't know, or maybe she thought that the dress was coming. I don't know. I don't know how their schedules and stuff like that work, or what was even the real, you know, nitty-gritty details, but he also talked about that too in his Instagram stories.

That's so sad. I know. It may be sad for them. Yes, like I have sons and love them, obviously, and I love being a mom, but I do not plan on like when my sons get married and they start their lives. I don't, I don't want to be that mother-in-law.

And I'm not surprised about the image comment. Oh, I remember something, I think they had a TV show and it aired for a very short period of time. The Bentley or the Rolls Royce, is that what you're talking about? And she was freaking out because she got pulled over, but she was in flats and not heels. Okay. And so she left the house in like flip-flops, like flats shoes. Okay. And she had to get out of the vehicle, and she's like, I don't have my heels on. I can't be seen without heels on. And she's like arguing with the officer, like, I can't get out.

And it was funny because David Beckham called her out. She was like, Yeah, I grew up very almost kind of saying like humble, like blah, blah, blah. And he looks at her and he said, What did your dad used to pick you up from school in? And she's like, uh, none. And he said, No. She's like, a Rolls Royce. So she's like trying to downplay, like, oh my God, I grew up so humble and now I'm like famous and have money. And he's like, No, you didn't.

So the whole drama a few years ago was he was um on Broadway, like they had a Broadway musical, SpongeBob SquarePants, and he played Spongebob. So people would always joke, why is she leaving her gorgeous fiance for Spongebob?

There is literally this TikTok account that made like a like 50-part series of how Hayley Bieber basically like set herself up since she was like a teenager to like end up marrying Justin Bieber, and it was like kind of like crazy.

So when I talk to people about venue searching, because this is just reminds Me of it. And I ask them how many venues they've looked for, you know, or are looking at in total. They say, you know, usually between four and eight is like the healthy number, like the happy number. I've looked at between four and eight venues. I have an idea of what I'm looking for. Yeah. Like first one, one and done. Unless you absolutely fall in love with the venue and you know that's the one you want to get married at, cool. Don't look at any other ones. But when people tell me that they look at 14, 15, 16, 17 venues, I ask, like, what aren't you finding? Or what are we looking for there? How much money have you spent on gas and time and energy? Because what you're looking for out there might not exist.

I was listening to Chloe Kardashian's podcast, and she just had Kim on, and it was just rapid fire questions at the end. And she said, When was the last time you went to a grocery store? This bitch said 15 years ago. 15 years. That's wrong. You have not been to a grocery store. That is insane to me. Like, I get the caliber of like fame that they're at, but like they have security. Like, I feel like too, like, I loved going to the grocery store with like my mom and stuff, and like getting snacks for school and doing that kind of part, but it's I was just mind blown that she hadn't been to the grocery store in that long.

I'm sure they have private chefs for like everything. So they don't need that shit. Um, okay. Next one was Nick Jonas and Priyanka. They had a big blowout wedding. Obviously, she is don't quote me. She's like, she's just Indian, right? Or she had a three-day Indian like wedding. Yes. And I thought it looked like I would honestly, I hope before I die, I can go to an Indian wedding. They just seem elaborate and beautiful, and I love all the tradition. And so I would love to go to one of those. Um, but let's talk about the low-key weddings. Beyonce and Jay-Z had a low-key wedding, which I do you know any of uh like obviously it was low-key, but I don't know anything about their wedding. Okay, right. I was like, I don't think they kept it hush hush. Um, and then Blake Ryan or Blake Ryan, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds also had a small wedding, um, which I think is good too, because obviously social media is like so big and seeing these extravagant weddings, I think it can help with us normal people. Yes, feeling okay to have small, intimate micro weddings. Yeah. So I think I kind of like that some celebrities do that to bring us down to earth.

I've listened, I've listened to some of the audio of like the voicemails, and I think that their rel I I truly think that their relationship started off super friendly and as friends and boundaries might have been crossed, and she's trying to protect her marriage and freaked out and wants to claim that it wasn't that and point the blame at him to protect her own ass. And because I agree, I think she developed feelings for Justin and isn't willing to admit it.

And so she's playing the victim card to save her own marriage.

Well, I think too, she's one of those people, again, Neppo baby, that she's been handed everything. She's always gotten whatever she wants and potentially maybe had feelings for him. And he's obviously married, and she'll probably like, whoa. So maybe she felt rejection and then tried to twist the narrative and make it sound like obviously turning into this whole debacle of going to court and saying sexual rations claim, which I think is insane to like do. I'm not saying she's wrong, or maybe it did happen. I don't know. But I love Justin Maldoni. Jane the Virgin is actually my favorite TV show to ever exist, and he's one of the main characters. And I don't know, he just seems so sweet and genuine, and I just feel like it's it's power. I can't with her. Yeah. I know it's like a power trip, and she's trying to bring someone down, and it's like, girl, just go live your life in your mansion with your husband and your like five kids. Just correct. Go live your life, leave him alone.

There's a voicemail, so he tried or Blake tried on outfits, dresses for It Ends With Us and sent pictures to Justin. So Justin sent a voice memo back and he said, Hey Blake, thank you so much for sending those over. Sorry, I've been in meetings. Wow, those work perfect. You look absolutely beautiful. I think they're gonna work great.

And that is part of her claim to sexual harassment. And I was thinking, what other way would you be like your business? What way would you respond? Yeah, yes, this works for what we're going for. You look beautiful. There is nothing wrong with that. No, yeah. And if we want to put start pointing the finger, why are you sending him pictures? Yeah. You're going to get a reaction or a response. If you're that uncomfortable, don't send pictures. Yeah. If you sound so confusing to me that because his response was so, and it wasn't inappropriate, it wasn't crossing a boundary. It works for what we're going for. I think cool. Yes, you look beautiful. Period. I tell brides all the time on wedding day, you look absolutely beautiful. When grooms come out, I go, Oh my gosh, you look so handsome. Or that you look amazing in that suit. That's not sexual harassment. I'm not harassing the groom. I'm just saying you look very handsome. You're dressed up. You look so nice. I'm excited for your day. Yeah. And it's not miscontrune. So I'm excited to see how this court hearing falls through because that ticks me off. Um, yeah, we actually have gotten into Love Island. It was really fun during like the pandemic because it wasn't, it was, it was different than what it is now. I feel like they're starting to overly sexualize it now than what some of the previous seasons are, but it's fun. It's good trash TV for the summertime, especially here in Arizona. Um, you know, we spend the whole day at the pool and it's freaking hot. And so we go home and turn on Love Island and I love that. Refreshing, I guess. I that one's good.

It's actually one of my favorite ones. I think they're about to be in their third season, but they basically took all of these um singles from other dating shows where it didn't work out for them, and then they put them together. Okay. And they have to like couple up each night. And if you don't couple up, then you get booed out of the house, but then you can get brat like brought back in because there's like a game, you know, room, and then it's it's actually really good. Okay. Yeah, it's like kind of nice because you don't like I know some of the people from like Love is Blind and stuff, but like I don't watch all other dating shows, so it's like good to see like new characters.

Okay. So on that note, um, there are also reality or sh shows that are marriage focused. So Married at First Sight. I haven't seen that one, but I want to watch it. I we watched one season of Married at First Sight, and the couple is still together to this day. I actually follow her on social media. They have two sons, they are genuinely the best match ever. They're amazing humans. All the rest of them fall apart, they don't work, there's so many issues. But um, the ultimatum, Marry or Move On. Have you seen that one?
